Regulon Four has posted a five page preview of IDW Publishing’s Transformers #9! It’s part one of “International Incident”, a story where the Combaticons take center stage and rock the world to its foundations. Left behind when the rest of the Decepticons left Earth, they now find themselves serving an international despot. Art is provided by the extremely talented Guido Guidi.
Don’t forget that in addition to the two regular covers and a retailer incentive cover, there is a special Auto Assembly 2010 cover by Nick Roche, which will only be available at Auto Assembly in the UK over the weekend of August 13 to August 15.

Wow just read it the art was amazing loved the true G1 feel also love dons bee cover with the awesome bumblebee face that looks less like a skeleton warrior.

Glad you like the Auto Assembly cover guys. I think Nick and Liam did an incredible job for us again and I can't thank Toyz and Gamez (Your Page Title) enough for coming in and partnering with us to make the comic possible.
If you can't make it to the convention, it is going to be included as part of our Non-Attendee Package along with a copy of the convention magazine signed by all of our guests, a sketch from one of our artists, all our other convention merchandise and a few other gifts and goodies including several keyrings, our convention mug this year and some other stuff.
You can order it now from our website or book tickets for the convention which are selling pretty fast!

So that's what, 4 pages of the comic with no dialogue whatsoever? I'm not sure if that's a blessing or a curse, but after issues 7 and 8 I doubt I'll pick this up. Chances are once Ironhide is over I'll be taking a break from IDW for a while. I'm just not impressed.
Nice to see some classic artwork though.

Will Don be coming back to work on this book? I'd love to see him come back to it, but maybe tweak some of his newer style a bit, or even bring it back a little more retro style….

I have to say that I miss don's new style, It was weird but the last change of artists are not really of my taste

i liked dons work from this serirs but i would have liked it if the artist would make up there mind which art style there working with movie faces, g1 faces, g1 looks, g1 looks with movie faces make up your mind feels like differnt series each time when new artist is on board to do the art.
bumblebee cover i like g1 face with don art work on the body its new differnt like to see more of that more detail in bot makes it looks realistic a bit as shown on r1 prime cover
Punisher Paul
bumblebee's face looks a little different from the original face Figueroa has been doing.

I'm glad they are using the classic style again. I love Don's art, but man, I was not a fan of his re-design.

really like the grit on BB on Don's cover, and the Auto Assembly cover is pretty hysterical.
the preview pages look sweet, other then the near-criminal lack of story progress. I don't mind decompressed comics at all, i like them, but that was pretty sparse. but Guido's art looks great.

The Combaticons are working for North Korea?
That might be my favoritest thing ever.

I'm digging cover A. Cover B (with the Sunbow cartoon style art) not so much.

I just noticed the "packaging" they're in is Madman Entertainment's G1 complete collection DVD set, in which Roche provided the art for the little comic that it came with.
Opticron Primal
Heh, pretty sure the guy in the middle is DJW.

Man, those are some small preview pages. I couldn't read the first page.
Nick Roche's Auto Assembly covers are always awesome.
