The Transformers Facebook page has updated with a commentary on the newly released More than Meets the Eye Issue 8! As always this takes the first few pages of the issue and gives us a bit of creative insight from the team of James Roberts, Alex Milne and Josh Burcham into things that are going on, including what will probably come as no surprise to anyone, the movie the Autobots on the Lost Light are watching will have significance later. James also mentions in the commentary that Skids will be the backbone in the ongoing overarching plotline, at least through the first overall arc.

Check out the full commentary here.

I really wish they made commentaries like this for the whole issues, they're so interesting and informative!

I wonder if there's any detail at all in MTMTE that isn't of some significance to the plot XD

Agreed! They're better than DVD commentaries! Plus it helps I absolutely love the new direction the comics are going! Love them both, but especially MTMTE! Best reads I've had in years!

Try to remember the angle that the crashed Worldsweeper ship has to Clemency's surface, as well as the fact that Pipes has a drink with a straw... : P

From a world-building perspective, I'm just sort of curious what function the oil reservoir performs on a space-cruiser.

An oil reservoir with an observation deck and functioning terminals, no less. Unless there's an energy field keeping the oil confined to a certain portion of the room, that equipment is being broken all the time, every time.

Last week Jame Roberts was a special guest on that "Under base" show where he actually broke down each panel of each page. They were talking for over 2 hours long. But is was very informative.

So here's to hopes that Roberts will do more Commentaries like the one along with this one below...

Its oil proof, I'm sure the whole ship could be doused in it without issue.... not made by humans
