Is Roberts doing another time-traveling Optimus story, a la his fan novel Eugenesis?

I do. I think it's Overlord:

General Tekno
Huh. That's definitely an Overlordish head indeed.
Sockie
Possibly. Superion and Bruticus are also two likely candidates, IMO. Superion because the Aerialbots are out in the wilderness, and lots of craziness could have happened to them; Bruticus because that would fit in with the Decepticons trying something that has "bizarre consequences."

....I forgot the Aerialbots left into the wilderness.

That's entirely possible.

Probably not. Could be that it's a crossover with RiD 6.

Judging by Optimus is in his Chaos Theory/Autocracy Cybertron body and Sentinel Prime is on the cover, it's looking like time travel or flashbacks (most likely the latter, judging by "Rewind begins telling... the most shocking story...").

I'm so excited for what IDW has in store. This is the best Transformers fiction we've had in a long time.
Chris McFeely
Son of a bitch, that is TOTALLY Superion. I am excited now. I think that's the first time I've ever been excited by the Aerialbots.

I agree, you can make out what look like a jet nose and wing on the shadow of his left shoulder!

The wilderness? Like they went on vacation?
artiepants
I REALLY hope that is a typo about the Drift miniseries being in IDW Colllection 7, it's supposed to be the Ironhide miniseries (the Drift mini was in vol 4 IIRC)
Nook
"The mysterious Metrotitan from last month's More Than Meets the Eye Annual"
omg, could he defeat Metroplex?

Wow, lots of good stuff coming up. Looking forward to the Chaos Theory-era Cybertron arc in MTMTE, and that wasn't Metroplex on the MTMTE annual's cover, but a "Metrotitan", eh? Interesting.

Any guesses on who that is standing over Ironhide on RiD #9's cover? The silhouette reminds me of a bunch of characters...
Well they're in the wild. So I say Predaking.

I take that back since there's no wings.....

They got tired of the politics and everyone trying to actually work together instead of fighting.
Sockie
So if Metrotitan's around, how long before we see Violen Jiger? (Funnily enough, the MTMTE annual might actually have Dai Atlas in it)
Bumblebee765
I'm really looking forward to that The Art of Fall of Cybertron book, does anybody have an idea for how expensive it will be? Also, I'm looking forward to the IDW Collection Volums Seven, even though I still need to get around to buying the first six...
Sideswipe80
Interesting, I wonder what will turn the Aerialbots into a Combiner. About time we see Superion. They were my favorite Combiner group. And I agree, RID and MTMTE is the best TF fiction in this generation period.
Kaijumaster
Drifts mini-series was in Vol. 4, this is either Ironhides mini or Galvatrons.
LegendAntihero
It should be Ironhide.
Anguirus
Ha, I figured Superion would be popping up as a pseudo-villain sooner or later. Nice catch.
Acteon
Is that Roadbuster on the Regeneration cover? How's that possible after Time Wars?

Not that I'm complaining, I always liked the character, but if anyone can come back then that's a bit bizarre...
DJW107PRIME
^I think Regeneration may ignore some of the UK stuff like time wars.

...

It's Time Wars.

The whole time travel aspect makes some specific events happen only in one particular timeline but not the other.

Furman didn't really plan out the whole time travel aspect back in the eighties. So its screwy.

It remains to be seen to see what U.K. stories can still be fitted into the "Marvel U.S. + ReGeneration One" timeline.
Impactor1106
Time Wars was part of TF UK. Regeneration continues from the US comic only. If I understand correctly.

Thats correct.

But that doesn't mean ALL U.K. stories cannot fit into the ReGeneration One timeline even if ReGeneration One wasn't written to accomodate them.

where's Jazz in RID?
moreprimeland
Man, I really need to check on any TPB's coming out soon...trying to stay away from the single issues too much..don't want to be entirely spoilered...but I need something new to read asap.

Will HAVE TO HAVE the Art of Fall of Cybertron!!

Covers look great!!

Jazz is on Cybertron, but has become background character.

Circuit Smasher? Does this mean that Circuit Breaker was rehabilitated? What happened to Fort Max?
ORIO
Superion matches up with what John Barber told me at Botcon at the bar. Which was just, "Hey! Are there gonna be any Autobot combiners??" and he said yes.

Except imagine my question all drunk and slurry. (with a twist of fan-boy)

I called this back in January. Between the look and the colors, I had a feeling it was Spike.

Hopefully Fort Max is still ok... He was one of my favorites...
