Preview for All Hail Megatron 16...

check it out
Dys:
*Just facepalms at how awful this looks* I hope the Bumblebee story's good at least.
Deadpool.:
Wow, that's not much of a preview.
DecepticonSpike:
So after 25 years, Spike finally gets some action!
Nevermore:
Dear god, that's the most blatant fanboy fetish insertion I've seen in a long while.

And in only two pages, Spike comes across as utterly unsympathetic.

Also, "Peter Dille and Frank Shin"? Seriously?
SmokescreenGT:
Spike's story doesn't look all that interesting to me, but I am looking forward to seeing what Bumblebee is up to.

I didn't even catch that until I read your post!
Dinobot Nuva:
More interested in Zander's work with Bumblebee for this issue. If its gonna set the tone for the whole Bee miniseries I hope he makes it interesting.
ORIO:
I'll read it when it comes out in trade in January
Tm Tarantulas:
lamest preview ever.
Nevermore:
I wonder if Spike got beat up for hitting on a schoolgirl in a skanky school uniform and with pigtails.
grimlock1972:
if only the nurse i had the times i have been in the hospitial looked as good as spike's and i hope it gets better after the preview
Xaxis:
One hot, busty nurse would be a lucky find... but three??? I think they're models that Spike hired to impress the top brass.

Peter Dille and Frank Shin... good one.
TerexO&K:
Aside from Spike being the luckiest man on the face of the Earth, the preview's kinda boring.

It's ironic that the page is titled "Man of Steel" and he's in a full body cast.
BB Shockwave:
Look at those girls - they have the exact same face and body, just put different styles of hair on them. it's like the guy just came from artists school and didn't learn to uses VARIETY...

Btw, I hope the story is more then Spike re-capping what we have already read in AHM...
KrytenKoro:
What's the joke behind Peter Dille and Frank Shin?
Kris Carter:
"Peter" Cullen
"Frank" Welker
Nelson "Shin"
Flint "Dille"

Actors and writer and director involved with the old G1 cartoon.
Takeout:
Nice preview. [endsarcasm]
Fit For natalie:
Why is Bumblebee smaller than the Volkswagens that he turns into? His torso should be as big as the car bodies he is leaning on.

Yep, I'm with you with that.
Boo:
I'm sorry, but that looks pathetic. After the greatness that was issue 15, we get this?

I certainly hope it gets better after the preview...
Fit For natalie:
I'm pretty sure even the preview for Infiltration issue 0 had some Transformers in it
Nachtsider:
The final panel of that last preview page is worthy of all manner of hilarious captions.
Dys:
There are two more preview pages up at Comics Continuum. Well, that's all of the coneheads out of commission.
Boo:
When did Dirge buy the farm?

Dirge and Deluge were sent to escort most of the 84-85 Autobots to Cybertron in AHM and ended up trapped there with them so it's unlikely they'll be heard from again.

Yup.
Fits most of the rest of the series perfectly IMO.
Oh and thank you Comics Continuum, for your wonderfully loud bullshit popup. Not clicking on anything linking to that site again.
Fosterlager:
Yay Botcon Thrust!

I'm sure the government had plenty of plans for Thrust, just wonder who else they found, Ravage aside.

So now we're down to what, Starscream and Skywarp? Smells like a buddy movie.
Omnius:
All Fail Megatron.

I could tell just by checking out here and there that I would hate this series reading every individual issue.

But I bet as a trade all wrapped up it might make for a decent read.

Ap, scratch that. Just read that McCarthy said Dirge and Deluge DID escape the swarm. Okay, NOW I spell a buddy film.
Kickback:
I remember when I enjoyed Transformers comics.

Oh, so many years ago...
BB Shockwave:
Well until a year ago. When Furman was still writing them. I certainly did enjoy them.

I recently won a lot of UK and US Marvel comics, frankly just one issue called "The HUman Factor" (where Omega Supreme appears) was a more entertaining read then the whole of AHM. That too featured the main Con cast and Autobots vs. Devastator, but managed to do it uniquely (for example, the Bots DO NOT defeat Devastator - they are only attacking to observe him combine and steal the Gestalt tech... while Omega guards the Ark and wrecks the attacking Con troop, Megatron barely makes it out alive and yet convinces Shockwave - with logic! - that he's still the one to lead the Cons).

I find it very odd that, apparently having defeated the Bots throughout the universe and promptly trouncing most of Earth, the Decepticons would retreat just because Megatron got shot in the face, leaving all sort of Cons behind.

The whole "humans hunting Decepticons" facet is also another move on the writer's side to "Bayformerize" the mainstream G1 universe too. HUmans in a TF comic should die in droves, not effectively fight Cons. In Marvel, the RAAT teams were only ever effective against Autobots, who didn't fight back... Cons easily destroyed them. Unless IDW also introduces something like the Neo-Knights, I won't buy it that a few soldiers, even if armed with alien tech, could take down Decepticons. (Ravage can practically turn invisible in shadows anyway, so he can easily pick them out one by one).

But of course, this is a Shame McCarthy story, so Ravage will be destroyed while Spike is celebrated as a hero. Some of his squad will die of course, just to make his victory more highlighted. See? It's that predictable. Furman never was this predictable.
Fosterlager:
Ah shit, forgot Mccarthy wrote this. There goes enjoying my lunch break comic stop.

This is funny because McCarthy hates the movies.

EDIT: Ahh, so Costa wrote it. Oh well, still funny that movie themes are invading AHM, apparently the last bastion of cartoon-like G1.

Oops, it's actually the newbie, Costa, who wrote the Spike story.

Still stank though. I got it at lunch. Pass on the ongoing, until the trade, maybe.
