Did these ever make it to print or at least soem final digital proofs or something ? I would love to see some virtual versions of these or something instead of just reading what was suppose to happen.
Nope. There are a few pages of artwork that have made their way onto the internet, but that's about it. And it's a huge shame too, because in my opinion, this was the best thing Dreamwave was putting out when it folded. And may I just say, I love how the summary of this issue ends! It's great to finally find out where Simon was going with the Grimlock subplot! The big guy may have been massively over exposed at DW, but I have to admit that I was curious about what happened to him. The only thing that could be better would be if the full comic script was eventually posted online!

Some spoilerish questions. What is Grimlock doing inside the Extermination Drone? Did Shockwave recycle Grimlock's Spark? I understand why Grimlock hates him so much, in Spotlight Shockwave Is Megatron's spark somehow different/special? Is the "unbound" term just a flowery metaphor or an actual reference to some special power? Maybe Megatron's spark evolved in a different way, like BM Megatron's. Could it be that there is a reference to the Rite performed in The Dark Ages by the Fallen?
Spotlight Shockwave (IDW) and Age of Wrath (Dreamwave) are two different continuities... Not that you could tell these days.
These were first sold at NordCon 2010, where we had the great pleasure of seeing most of the artwork for that issue, all explained by Furman himself in a sweet presentation. He's a real sport for doing this! ![]() I have one or two copies of the script, signed by Furman if anyone's interested. I'll sell them at cost + shipping. Just shoot me a PM ![]()
