Generation One comic artist Andrew Wildman has posted an update on his facebook page today announcing the upcoming eBay auctions for most of his old Transformers cover art from the end of the USA's G1 run in 1990 and 1991. This includes the cover for issue #73 at left, when Primus finally awoke and called all Transformers back to Cybertron for the final showdown against Unicron!

Stay tuned and we will let you know when the auctions go live and maybe you can have a piece of TF history!

Wildman updated his facebook page earlier today:

So as promised, I am going to be auctioning most of my old Marvel Transformers covers from 1990. Found a few in a box in the attic. 69, 70, 71, 73, 74, 76, 77, 78 and 80 so far. Not sure what happened to the others and of course, Geoff Senior was the artist on issue 75. Just scanning them all in and should have something up on eBay in a couple of days

One-time change fitting the theme of the issue. There's a Decepticon civil war taking place in lower Manhattan, with the Autobots trying to contain the fighting and also a team of superhumans making a mess of things, then they all disappear, warped to Cybertron by an awakened Primus.

Ah .. that takes me back....
Poor Circuit Breaker... a whole planet of robots and then a giant planet-sized one trying to eat her. I'd hate to see those psychiatric bills!
Gingerchris:
Happy memories...
grimlock1972:

I disliked her immensely, so I call that Justice! As for the Mechanic, I would wish something far more awful upon him.

I'd love to have these covers. I'm interested to see how high they climb in price.
Fosterlager:
I hope he finds #72, Scorponok vs. Shockwave. I'd LOVE to have that one!
artiepants:
Sweet, can't wait to see what he comes up with!!!
Aernaroth:
I wonder why he's finally deciding to part with them. Nothing bad, I hope.
Gingerchris:
I suppose everyone could do with a little extra cash these days. And if these have been kicking around in his attic all this time then it's not like they're doing anything useful, and are subject to degrading and becoming worthless over time.
JAYSCREAM:
T.F.W!!!!!! id love one of these to go next to my framed energon page. time to hock my mp-01 first edition!

It's probably one of the bloopers. His anti-grav wrench thing he stole from Ratchet runs out of power while he's lifting a car over his head.

Can't wait to see what appears... I love some of those covers. I'd prefer some of the UK ones though!!

I am guessing a little less than a grand for each (depending on the particuar artwork he puts up for auction). Original art can be pricey depending on the comic series and artist. I hope I am wrong on the price though because I totally plan on trying to snag one of these to frame and display at home.
Railguard:
That looks cool, good luck to all!!
Ktulu:
Sometimes he got weird with the ultra human-like faces but I still always dug his style
