Coinciding with the 30th anniversary month of Transformers, IDW are releasing new print runs of the first volumes of the Robots in Disguise and More than Meets the Eye trade paperbacks. Amazon have now updated their pre-order pages for both volumes with new cover art for each volume.

Does anyone know why MTMTE volume 1 and volume 2 are not available for kindle? I'm trying to get them but I can't buy these digitally and the same goes for RID volume 1.

How about some info on The IDW collection Vol. 9???
These seem to ALWAYS sell out, i can't believe they have stalled on them…

Looks alright.

Thank you. This is pretty much what I think of Livio's art, guys.
Crimson87
Hmmm… thats nice. When are they getting around to IDW collection volume 9?

Who could forget it?

His name is Orion Pax now, Stryker.
Please call him Orion Pax.
Have I mentioned that he's Orion Pax again yet?

I sure loved that unforgettable part in the first three issues of MTMTE when Optimus and Rodimus had those cool adventures.

So much hate on Livio Rammondeli's art.
I'm a huge fan of his art. Sure, it's 'different' compared to other artists, but it's still looks cool. The metallic coloring looks great.

From the IDW boards:
The two books are reprints of the first volumes of RID and MTMTE with new covers. Creating a unified look for these editions is part of our continuing efforts to get Transformers comics into the hands of new fans by using different designs and cover treatments to attract new eyes on our comics.

Nothing yet.

Well, those are terrible. That guy, I don't how he's still working on TF titles. I really hope IDW gets over their love of this guy soon. Real sick of seeing his "art" in the titles I like to read. We have had some amazing and completely capable artists up until him. Why such a major step backward in quality? Bleh.

Is there any news, or even rumor, on the next Hardcover? They tended to come out every 6 months, but there has been nothing since the Hardcover volume 8 in may.
Jalaguy
They're just new-cover reprints of the existing Volume 1 TPBs. MTMTE Vol. 1 is Death of Optimus Prime + MTMTE #1-3 and RID Vol. 1 is RID #1-5.
UltraMagnus3786
That RID cover is amazing. Though seemingly more appropriate for later in the book when things really start to fall apart. Wish it could be a poster.

Comic n00b here… what is included in these volumes? I've read digital versions of MTMTE #1 through about #20. Are these books just a reprint/compilation of these comics? What issues are included in the books? How am I possibly supposed to know any of these answers based on the piss-poor description on Amazon? LOL

^THIS! The hardcover series was phenomenal, and I'd love to see RID and MTMTE get the same treatment
AngryChad
The lack of info on the continuation of the IDW Collection worries me.
Jalaguy
Well, that MTMTE cover sure has nothing to do with the issues inside.
Starscream Gaga
Why on earth does that artist keep constantly getting work on these comics? I mean, really, the normal Volume 1 of MTMTE looks so, so, so much better. It also doesn't put Optimus more in the light then the series' actual cast.
The artist's no Greg Land, but its very weird they'd use his "meh" art to replace what is actually a really awesome cover.
