So psyched for this. Chromedome's "leaning against thin air" pose on the 5th page is brilliant. Also, we get to answer the age old question: what would it have looked like if Alex Milne drew LSOTW? Pretty nice, is what. Looks like Josh deliberately colour-matched those flashback panels to LSOTW and everything.

I demand a Generations Overlord based on his redesign for MTMTE. Leader Class minimum.

Looks like we get an explanation for the source of Sparks in IDW too, judging from the nurturing comment. I can see it work if they're unrefined highly concentrated Energon crystals. Now the question is: Are they only found on Cybertron's moon(s), and if so, why? Why aren't they on Cybertron then, where Victor Sigma is?

hey- i wonder if the mental block or whatever that shockwave and overlord discussed in LSotW will have something to do with this being a big mistake by chromedome.

That's the feeling I'd gleaned. After all, even though the story is somewhat dependent on it, you can't just assume that everyone reading this book has read Last Stand of the Wreckers. So *some* time is going to need to be dedicated introducing or re-introducing Overlord to the audience and why he's such a bad motherfucker.

...and THEN, you get to the slaughterfest.

I don't know why people are assuming a slaughter fest? Hell, he only killed one Wrecker in LSotW and from what I remember there weren't that many dead bots on the list, were there? UM and Drift, who we know survive this arc, Hound and Chromedome, no?

^For all we know there could've been like fifty guys on the Lost Light who died (or there bodies were found) before Hound I'm not saying that that's the case but just because we only saw a small amount of names on the list doesn't mean nobody is going to die

Because its fucking Overlord. For me, Roberts has built him up in such a fashion that the second he is let off the chain, madness and murder follow in quick order.

Yes, he only killed one Wrecker, but he also killed Kick-off (potentially) and half a dozen of his fellow Decepticons. That we saw. Who knows what kind've body count he wracked up over the three years he had the run of Garrus-9.

I'm prepared for one of two things to happen:

1. Chromedome triggers some anti-tampering fail-safe device in Overlord's brain that causes Overlord to sputter out and die, resulting in nothing.
2. Chromedome switches Overlord back to full consciousness and A LOT of Autobots end up needing to be scrubbed off the walls.

I think MTMTE #15 makes this one an impossibility.

Four pages and I'm hooked. The mixture of eagerness and dread I feel for this title is matchd only by The Walking Dead. Why can't it be this way for both Transformers titles each month?

And really, it's not who he's killed that have got it worst. It's who he left alive. I mean, just look at the state he left Fort Max and Springer in.

Frankly I'm more worried for the survivors than whoever will die.

When Overlord appears death is the easy way out.

It's almost like going up the first big hill on the roller coaster. Each page there is like the "TIK" as the car moves up to the top of the hill.

I don't need a Leader sized Overlord, but a very beefy Voyager.

I thought Shockwave removed his mental blocks? My guess is, Chrome will wake him up out of his stupor and that's pretty much implied Cannot wait to get this issue!

I'd want a leader! The more imposing the Overlord, the better! Maybe Has/Tak can do something about Galaxy Force Megatron and turn him into Overlord in a similar vein as Omega.

Chromedome's doing a cortical psychic patch, what Bee did to Megatron in PRIME.

Except this will cause more trouble and explosions than Michael Bay.

Just looked again, you're right, no redesign. I hadn't looked at my LSoTW trade in a while so some details seemed new.

Just because those names were on the list doesn't mean they're the only ones who are gonna die, they're just the ones we KNOW. What about the names that are above the seen ones? I'm sure that list wasn't THAT short.

As for Overlord only killing one Wrecker...

Yeah. Overlord is pretty fucking terrifying on the battlefield, but the scariest part is how sadistic he is. He doesn't just take over Garrus-9, he turns it into his own personal gladiator/torture ring simply to amuse him as he waits for Megatron to finally notice he's still around. He will MAKE people beg for death, but that road out of the hellhole was only available when Overlord decided an individual no longer amused him. There's also no question he would have murdered the fuck out of the remaining Wreckers at the end had Varity not destroyed his dreams of facing Megatron, since he easily ripped of Springer's FACE and then Guzzle IN TWO (how the hell Guzzle didn't die is anybody's guess).

I hope Chrome Dome isn't killed. He was one of my first Transformers as a kid. I like seeing him being a regular in a book.

Does anyone else find it funny that Overlord is perhaps the most terrifying Decepticon in the history of the franchise? Seriously, Unicron doesn't get this kind of dread at his imminent arrival.

And Chromedome is being all arrogant and wiseass with him! Domey's just signed his own death warrant.

Something tells me that whatever Shockwave did to fix Overlords mind back in LSOTW's will probably be what does in Chromedome and sets Overlord free.

I'm also guessing we'll find out stuff about Chromedome that paints him in a worse light than he's been painted to date.
