Thanks to Andrew Wildman for letting us know about another piece of Transformers history being offered on Ebay right now.
Prowl and Bludgeon facing off agaist each other. In the absence of Prime and Megatron these two take the lead. I always liked these two. They seem to encapsulate good and evil really well. I mean c’mon, just look at them. a skeleton and a police car. I mentioned in an earlier post that the UPC box had an additional illustration for the direct sales issues. The one for this issue was a tin of paint which I did because of the painted out insignia in the background of the picture. If you look very carefully you can just about see the tin of paint but it has a white sticker over it. Not put on by me, this was how it came back from the Marvel offices. I guess they needed to blank it out for reproduction purposes.. Auction Here

Agree with Rikerwota. This art style turned me off to TF comics.

That is a fantastic cover, I love the way Bludgeon's helmet surrounds the TF logo. Lovely little touch that.
I have some original TF art myself (Jeff Anderson's stellar painted cover to UK issue 135 among others on my office wall – Grudge Match – Transformers Wiki!) but I can't afford this one. I'm sure whoever wins it will get a lot of pleasure out of it.

Yuck – what was up with all the human features on the bot faces?

One of my favorite TF covers of all time…man I wish I could afford it right now.

Awesome cover, it was one of my favourite Marvel issues – the aftermath of Unicron's demise and the end of the short Bot-Con alliance.
