Previewsworld has posted up the October solicitations for IDW’s comic book releases and 2005 board member, Sockie, has been nice enough to summarize them for us. Along with the regular books of More Than Meets The Eye, Robots In Disguise, and the new mini-series Primacy, we’ll be getting the trade paper back of the popular Windblade mini-series!
Click the title bar to read the synopsis for each issue. But beware, since these issues are months down the road, spoilers may exist. More Than Meets The Eye #34

Anguirus
Good.
Sockie
Because all three of those artists you mentioned are busy with other stuff.
And if you are who I think you are, the "verbal beatdown" you were given on the IDW forums was hardly that.
Pale Horse
Hey, I already did protest this guy being in any position to draw Tfs at this point by not buying MTMTE #31.
And now it looks like I am finally getting a flashback to MEgatron's days as a writer and activist and it's drawn by THIS GUY? "Art by Atilla Rojo" might as well say "comes with vomit inducing stench".
Rojo (along with the other guy who drew a bunch of filler issues during Dark Cybertron) actually produced enough horrible art to cause me to drop Idw's comics for about 4 or 5 months. I went to the bookstore the other day and saw DC in trade form and thought it may be a good time to maybe buy it to read the EIGHT ISSUES I skipped to avoid the art and slogging pace.
But then I cracked that cover and literally I felt like I was going to throw up, transitioning between ROjo's lifeless science class scribblings and the horror movie monster bots the other guy filled the books with. I think some deadites rose and started to possess people just by my opening of the book. When my wife next saw me she was like, "what's wrong with you? you seem clammy…"
I told her I had seen the abyss and felt sick…
I just don't get Idw's repeated use of artists like this when we have Nick Roche, Guido, Josh Burcham, and others out there who would prolly be happy to do an issue or 2 once in a while. They don't even need to use one of the recognized names, since there are literally hundreds of talented people who could do better than this. Some of them may even recognize the importance of SCALE in a Tfs comic, which thing Rojo has been at war with since his first issue with Idw.
I brought this up on Idw's own boards and of course one of their MAFIAH MODS (Hi!) gave me the verbal beat down in public for daring to tell the truth about this wretched visceral crime which is the use of Rojo on art duties.

My faith in Hasbro will be rewarded, you'll see…
omegafix
They did? Mustve missed that
ZEGR
the same wild life as earth only millions earlier?
Autovolt 127
And now Rhinox is making his IDW debut, even though I've been wanting to see him make an appearance for quite a while now. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to like how Rhinox's depiction won't be flattering.
Negativedark
Hey, I renamed him Slash when I first got the toy, before the Beast Wars show started. The only downside is that IDW versions often have compleatly different personalities from the previous versions.
While were at it, lets get a G1 Scorn in there. And Paddles. Paddles is love.
QLRformer
Interesting to see that Rhinox is being introduced. He was one of my favourite Beast Warriors.
The other Beast Warriors – Waspinator, Sky-Byte and Rattrap – are also my favourites, but I don't think they did a lot in IDW comics. Sky-Byte was just the McCartney to Jazz Lennon, Waspinator buzzes around doing slag all, and Rattrap was Starscream's shadow since he was around. With Rhinox, though, he looks like he has a cool background: he was on Earth, he was a former acquaintance of Alpha Trion, he knows the secrets that have gone down there… he should be awesome enough in IDW.
DarthusPrime
If they brought in Dinobot, I'd like him to be a mentor to the Dynobots when they first began the Primal Vangaurd, hence the team name reference
Josh
I think he went back to doing some film work
PredaconElder
Hunter, Scorponok or Rhinox are imo the best candidates.
Anguirus
Noooooope.
Hasbro has really needed to bring this character back for some time. I like your solution to the name dilemma, which has really been holding him back IMO.
Sucks when one of your most popular subgroups and one of your strongest characters share the same name.
AdyCarter
Cybertron has/had wildlife. Of a sort. As did other planets, hence the rattrap explanation.
ZEGR
Wonder how are they going to explain that Rhinox alt mode is a rhino
TheSpartanD
Besides Padilla, Rojo has to be the worst artist when it comes to scale (does anybody else remember the scale issues in MTMTE #16).
And Knowing Barber, Rhinox is going to refer to Galavtron as "boss" at the end of each sentence.
From the solicits it seems like MTMTE #33 is at least going to end with the Briefcase being opened but it might be that #34 deals with what is inside it.
Sockie
Because he's not a machine.
No, but it's not exactly the worst thing in the world, especially when it's only for fill-in issues. Other comics with great writing haven't been so lucky when it comes to their art.
Mechafire
Don't count on it.
TF14
Hey isn't 34 the issue that Roberts said the briefcase would be opened?
GAUGE
TF vs GI Joke continues to look absolutely atrocious.
I'm sorry but really it looks like garbage and so is the writing.
