Gaming website IGN has a 9 page sneak peak for the next comic in IDW's Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye ongoing series. If these first pages are any indication, this issue will be guaranteed to please. Mystery, betrayal, and a pissed off Fort Max can be found after the jump.

wow, that looks seriously fantastic and intense. Love that Milne seems to be gradually "squaring off" the designs so that they look like Transformers but still keeping it a bit simpler and less over-detailed then his previous style and some of the cartoony personality Roche brought.

Man that panel where First Aid takes charge is just sublime - from the pose through to the colours, that page just pops.

So how long until we start seeing Armada megatrons being repainted into IDW Fort Max customs? .... or Hasbro could bring out Armada Megs for Generations and remold it into IDW fort max.

They totally suckered me. Someone in the comics forum convinced me that Ambulon was a traitor, but Roberts was clearly a step ahead of us.

Honestly? We should've seen it coming. The flaking paint job? Sympathizing with the Decepticons? Ambulon did everything except transform into a red herring. In the end, he was way too obvious to be a traitor.

Ambulon's weirdness caught my attention sure, but as of issue #4 the story didn't actually require a traitor in order to work, which is why it's effective instead of "crudely telegraphed whodunit."

I still don't know where this story is going to leave us at the end of things, I just have my list of characters that I really hope don't die.

You might want to spoiler your stuff btw, just being cautious.

My God was the awesome. That did more for me in, what, five pages, than what Prime has done in a season and a half. The story is so perfect, the characters are so perfect. If anyone dies at this point I will be really, really sad. Even Drift. God damn it, Roberts, you made me sad for Drift.

Yes! I hate the decompressed trend in comics right now. A lot of writers have gotten really lazy! Thank God for Roberts and his jam-packed issues of TF!

This series is so awesome. THIS is the kinda ongoing transformers fans have been waiting for! I agree with all the comments: so much was done in just seven short pages.

This book has easily moved its way up to the top of my pull list every month. Roberts & Miline are such a great team. I always look forward to each issue.

You've missed... four years, of IDW comic continuity. In the IDW-verse; the only colossal city-bot is Metroplex. Trypticon is quite large, but not exactly city sized and Scorponok and Fort Max are only larger-than-average Cybertronians.

(I say four years because Fort Max in IDW continuity didn't show up until Spotlight: Blaster, I believe.)
