Seacons!

I just looked up "Mistkatonic" (the name of that ship) to see if it has any meaning, and apparently it's a reference to the Miskatonic River, Valley, and University mentioned throughout the writings of Lovecraft. Clever!

you know i can never figure out how this cross over actually works. i read the first infestation and it was kind of weird.

Looks like this'll be a very fun comic! I couldn't exactly recognize the robots in the beginning, though, but thanks to the others for pointing out that they're the Seacons (I'm unfortunately not very familiar with them). Although with the first series stating that the Autobots and Decepticons originally fought prior to an unspecified Ice Age, it's tricky to tell if the Seacons here adopted similar forms during that time – unless they arrived on Earth at a different time and for a different purpose than the main factions.
A little problem I see with this story, though, is that by giving a specified year or two for this series' setting, it could make the timeframe of the original mini-series even harder to accurately pinpoint.

Love me some Lovecraft. The real authentic stuff.
The Pretender Monsters might have been the obvious choice to use here what with the existent Lovecraft link in Monstructor, but I'm kinda glad to see the Seacons get some airtime instead. Underused and all that.
Anyone else have the fish-men remind them of that fish Battle Beast with the purple armor?
-ZacWilliam, would be interrested to read this but with RiD and MtMtE firing on all burners it's less of a priority for me. I'll see how the reviews go… Steampunk, Lovecraft and TFs is a great combo if done well and I LOVE Guido's art.

I'm very happy to be getting more HOS stories.

The Deep Ones seem to be based off of Submarauder's pretender shell. Maybe Submarauder was a Dagon worshipper all along. =P Love the use of the Seacons though, I skipped the first Hearts of Steel but this preview has me interested.
