I can't wait for Windblade #6! I always loved the idea of a world filled with bestial transformers; I love transformers with beast modes in general. I don't know how this will turn out and what effect it will have, though.
General Tekno
Primal is different enough, I'd say, to work, given his face design.
Big Convoy and LioConvoy are trickier in that regard.
I know what I'd love to see is BW Megatron considering the original unworthy of his name's legacy – it'd be in complete megalomaniacal character.
Verno
Magmatron would disagree. But the Japanese characters are just as blank-slate-ish as the likes of Insecticon and Wolfang — they're perfect for creating new memorable characters from.
scrapmetaru
I highly doubt that Lio and Big would even be present, considering they're just BW II and Neo characters, and not from the good Beast Wars.
ultramagnus1
What I mean is the series a lot of fans may look forward to most on account of the beast wars characters.
Thats by no means taking away from MTMTE and The Transformers.
Just a thought.
Coffee
I gotta say I kind of like how Barber seems to be focusing on sort of one-shot character interaction issues following CW. I think it really suits him.
I feel like I don't care much for whatever goes on in Windblade for some reason. I guess I just already know what to expect.
Meister5
I wouldn't argue with an updated deluxe Tigatron. Airazor could use some love too.
So cool that it caused her to revert to generic black repaint in order to bring balance to the universe.
Whenever they hold the cover back, you just know it's going to be good.
Verno
Give us the 2nd Cover! What treasures does it hold?!
Steevy Maximus
Eh, I think Lio Convoy and Big Convoy would end up superfluous. Both appeared in the IDW Beast Wars minis, but never saw a domestic release (at retail), so I don't think there's much instant identification unless you're already an established TF fan.
Assuming Optimus Primal appears at all (which I think he will, given his strong placement among the fan's choice polls this year), I think it is safest for him to be the big ape everyone loves.
Thelonicon
They could always use the toy's "mutant head" for Optimus Primal instead of the robot one. Although this solution wouldn't work for Lio and Big.
kaijuguy19
I can get behind this. Not to mention it would be interesting for the "original" Megatron to come across the Beast Megatron sometime later on and the interactions they'll be between them would be cool.
That said how would IDW figure out how to include Optimus Primal,Lio Convoy and Big Convoy into it should they appear later on? They're different characters from Optimus that much is true but wonder how they'll explain how they have strong elements to Optimus Prime?

BEASTIES!!!! YEEEEEEEEEAH BOOOOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIII!
August sounds like it'll be the month that'll deliver.
I am loving the Tracks and Needlenose bromance.
What do you mean by "THE series"?
Steevy Maximus
It would also allow Barber/Scott/Hasbro to have A Megatron to play with in the core books, but not undo the well received character arc "Classic Megatron" has gotten in the past couple years.
MatrixOfWumbo
I'm still waiting for a continuity where humans accidentally excavate Transmetal Terrosaur and Scorponok and they need to be stopped in the present day.
Sockie
They shouldn't know of any reputation the Cybertronians have. A big thing about the colonies is that none of them have had contact with Cybertron since long before the war.
Veritas Prime
I absolutely cannot wait for August when these come out, the MTMTE covers look excellent but I have no clue who is on the Windblade cover so I can't wait for that to be answered.
grindcore138
Aw yeah, Beast Wars up in dis bitch! Just a thought, but what if the Eukarians are wary of the Cybertronians because of their own war (either long since over or ongoing), and because of the Cybertronian's reputation don't trust them to not fuck things up for them again.
I wonder if they downsized like the original Maximals and Predacons or if they're still as big as regular Cybertronians.
SPLIT LIP
I actually like the first one better, even if the Covenant of Primus is more like BW itself. :I
General Tekno
That feels appropriate, yesssss.
Alternatively he could rename himself based on a transcript of the Covenant of Primus.
Bravemaximike
Tracks and Needlenose have similar foreheads…. Maybe they're brothers? The original G1 Tracks toy had a mask too….
