Courtesy of Midtown comics, we have the IDW Solicitations for August. Dinobot Month will roar into action late this summer as the Dinobots will take center stage in the pages of More Than Meets the Eye, Robots In Disguise and Regeneration One. Also shown in these solicitations is the cover of the 1st More Than Meets The Eye Anual. The cover of this book was shown as a teaser at the end of the IDW panel at Botcon.

Here's the solicitations, beware spoilers!

More Than Meets The Eye #8
(W) James Roberts (A) Alex Milne (CA) Alex Milne, Nick Roche
DINOBOT MONTH! Three years ago, Grimlock disappeared from his prison cell on Garrus 9. Where did he go? What happened to him? One thing's for certain: the leader of the Dinobots is back-and he's itching to settle some scores!

Robots In Disguise #8
(W) John Barber (A) Andrew Griffith (CA) Casey Coller, Andrew Griffith
DINOBOT MONTH! Guess who's back on Cybertron? SLAG, SLUDGE, SNARL, and SWOOP-and they're as mad as ever! IRONHIDE leads them deep into the Cybertronian wilderness searching for lost AUTOBOTS... but what they find might be the greatest danger of all!

More Than Meets The Eye Annual #1
(W) James Roberts (A) Jimbo Salgado, Guido Guidi (CA) Tim Seeley, Alex Milne
THE ORIGIN OF THE KNIGHTS OF CYBERTRON! Rodimus and the crew of the Lost Light finally reach Crystal City, home to the mysterious Circle of Light. But what they find waiting for them is going to change everything-and not necessarily for the better!

Regeneration One #82
(W) Simon Furman (A) Andrew Wildman (CA) Andrew Wildman, Guido Guidi
DINOBOT MONTH! And ex-Dinobot commander GRIMLOCK wishes it wasn't! His quest for a means to restore his ability to change modes takes him to Nebulos-a world off-limits to TRANSFORMERS, where a welcome that's more incendiary than warm awaits him. Plus, KUP and THE WRECKERS find themselves stranded, hunted and in a whole world of pain. Quite literally!

G.I.Joe Vs. Transformers Volume 1
(W) Michael Higgins, Larry Hama (A) Herb Trimpe & Various (CA) Klaus Scherwinski
The worlds of G.I. JOE and TRANSFORMERS combine in this first volume reprinting the classic crossovers. Contains the 4-issue G.I. JOE and the TRANSFORMERS limited series plus issues #139-142 of A REAL AMERICAN HERO. MEGATRON and COBRA versus the JOEs and the AUTOBOTS, who will come out on top?

My body is ready.

Is that Metroplex on the MTMTE cover?
ORIO
That annual cover was the last slide the idw panel teased us with at Botcon
HeroicC300
Hmm, here's hoping they pick up Dai Atlas and crew.

Also, Grimlock and the Dinobots!
Thundershot
Funny how it takes Grimlock 21 years to finally find out how to get his transformation ability back... They could have just built him a new body and been done with it.
SPLIT LIP
God Dammit. They blew Metroplex up. Damn them! Damn them all to hell! Those damn dirty apes!

Can't wait.

Actually Simon Furman wrote a conclusion to this storyline for a UK annual. However, it was ignored when Marvel's G2 comic came out.

Also, damn I hope that isn't Metroplex! The turrets on his head are wrong.

Considering the artists tend to redesign characters every few issues, no reason it isn't Metroplex.

True, the thought did occur to me, I'm just hoping it isn't because in Metroplex's case, he has more or less stuck to his classic design.

Good looking covers. Lots of Dinobot action!

August is going to be expensive
Acteon
Damn, that's a lot of good looking comics! I'm having a hard enough time just waiting for the next issue of MTME, never mind all those!

Isn't it great to be genuinely excited by TF comics again? Might have taken them a while, but I think IDW have finally come good.
Scantron
Man, it's hard trade-waiting sometimes. Looking forward to getting all of these when the collections eventually come out.

So, I wonder if this means that they intend to release additional volumes reprinting all the various GI Joe/TF crossovers at some point? Certainly hope so, as a couple of the Devil's Due TPBs are out of print and/or never collected.

MTMTE Annual? Is it kind of issue #8.5, happening between issue #8 and #9?

No kidding. I got my wedding anniversary, FOC, IDW books and Madden 13 lol.

This was pretty much as far as they got teasing at BotCon, which is cool cause it means there's loads more great stuff to come. (Well ok, "Decepticon month" follows Dinobot month, cause it's not like Decepticons are ever in these comics?)

Although I do think it's weird that Grimlock has a blue visor on the RG1 cover.
Thundershot
Gah! Yes! The blue! Marvel Grimlock has as RED visor!!

Yeah, and Marvel Soundwave is purple. And yet, here we are.
Kostya
Wait, an annual? That's interesting although I wonder why there's only one.

...What happened to Metroplex? Is he okay? : (

Maybe he ran into Trypticon?

An RiD annual was confirmed at BotCon, too. As I said in the first post, we'll probably get it in September.

Huh, I just kind of glanced over that.

I wonder what that annual will be about.

That would be kind of interesting, especially since Trypticon hasn't made many appearances in the IDW-verse, but from what I remember, he seems to have been much smaller than Metroplex in this continuity.

Wow, sheer amount of awesome coming. As somebody else said, waiting for TPBs is getting harder and harder... resolve slipping...

i think its much more fun to read one issue a month - DOOOO IT while you can still find issues 1-4!

It definitely is, the agonizing wait for the next issue forces you to reread your current issues - wherein you get to pick up stuff you missed on your initial reads
Smasher
It might be cool to have all the Marvel GI Joe\Transformers stuff collected together, but the initial four issue limited series was one of the worst books I ever read.

I was a kid when it first came out. I loved Transformers and I loved GI Joe but I hated that crossover. The art looked like a coloring book.

Hes had atleast 1 cameo shot. Your right though he did seem smaller than metroplex. I could be wrong. May have to bust out my TPB and try to compare.
