We have something cool to share with you tonight by way of 2005 Boards member natecm - a preview of the hand-drawn sketch art that will accompany the first IDW Limited Transformers release. For those who missed the previous announcement, IDW Limited is a new sub-series of comics by IDW, with three levels of increasingly limited edition high-end releases and including a selection of special features including special art prints like this one of Shockwave you see attached here.

This is a piece of artwork that's going to be accompanying the IDW Limited release of Transformers Volume 1.

Did you see what we did with TMNT Change Is Constant?

IDW Limited offers limited edition hardcovers that come in custom cases with new covers and are either signed, accompanied with original art or both.

Megatron's legs make no sense coming out of his crotch like that. Try look pasted in front. BIt it is a cool design, I like the gladiator Megs.

Yeah, I don't care for that Megatron drawing. Bland pose and blander expression.

This artwork is horrible, especially that Megatron. His limbs are in impossible positions, like they're not attached to the body.

Generic pose with an added necklace. How does this justify Pimp Daddy? Give him the fur-coat and feathered hat, then I might see it. Otherwise... Meh. I really wonder who is insane enough to drop money down for this.

Pretty much this. I really like the finishes on both, and I like the Shockwave a lot (except, what is he looking at, his chest and shoulder?), but the Megatron has got some structural problems. He's squatting to take a dump, and his arms look squished together.
