Weren't these meant to ship on 12/28?
I've seen no indication that it's anything but "processing" still.

It seems kind of strange they would cut out comic book shops for something this expensive. I think IDW would've wanted to support their vendors because they themselves are a small business. I stopped buying directly from them after I left their forums so I hope they will release these at retail like they did with their SDCC sketch books.

Might be a good idea to show that the $300 and $400 versions are SOLD OUT!! Only the $125 left as of today.
MrJoe
I cringed at how they fold over the signature page in the video on a $300.00 book, and also shouldn't that overlay thing be protecting the signatures, not just arbitrarily covering the title page?
LegendAntihero
That might be the one I'll get. Currently, I'm hard pressed for cash because I'm buying so much other expensive things right now. It'll sell out by the time I get enough cash.,
jacranky
In it to win it! I pre-ordered the Red label. I'm excited for it. And it sounds like I'm the only one….
LegendAntihero
I wish I'd found out about this sooner because I didn't have 400 in hand today. The blue label is the one I wanted but it's sold out. I guess 10 other people wanted it as much as me.
jbz
sell some of your shit man…you'd have plenty of money for it
LegendAntihero
That sucks. It'd be the first time I blew 300 at my comic shop.
Captain
This is way too expensive. If I wanted their signatures I can get them for way cheaper! The Hard Covers are nice but not for the price. Is this a way to give back to the TF community?

What's even more ridiculous is that you have to pay over USD100 shipping fees if you live outside of the US (I tried Taiwan and Australia, not sure about other countries but still…). I just bought Lawrence of Arabia 50th year anniversary box set (it's huge, heavy too) on amazon and the shipping fees was only about USD10, I don't see the reason of charging more than USD100 shipping fees for a similar item.

I am very impressed but not enough to get one. Im fine with my orginal save the money for masterpeice soundwave and omega

Blue label is sold out!

For what it is, you are getting a commissioned piece of art for the Blue and Black books. These are not a cheap convention sketches. That being said, Blue will sell out, even though its the most expensive, so there is a market for them. Black will eventually sell, but I think the Reds will be there for a while.
Although, the only Red that interests me is the TMNT Vol1 that includes a hand drawn B/W/Red sketch by Dan Duncan.

I should make it easier to find. It's in the long descriptions on the product page, buried way at the bottom. Will look into making it more visible.
natecm
Mounted means the signature page is attached inside the book, not a loose page. Yes, it is hand-signed.
Black editions come with hand-drawn art and in a tray case instead of the slipcase. They're stamped and bound in black instead of red as well.

Ha ha ha ha ha! No way is any hardbound transformers comic worth that. IDW you're out of your freaking mind. I bought the regular versions of these and felt $50 was satisfactory not to mention I have most of the artists signatures and sketches from Botcons past. Between this, Machine Wars Botcon, and that God awful Beast Hunters voyager Prime more and more money is staying in my pocket in 2013.
Omegax80
This is absurd.
I can't believe anyone would even consider buying this. I'm a fan of comic collecting, but this is pushing it a bit far.

Hexagonal Nuts! Primus! That stuff is way too expensive!
DrawerDemon
Did I miss where it says that? Your post is the only mention, unless it's in the video, which I can't watch at work.
