Please don't tell me they're using that G1 cartoon model for Grimlock's beast mode...

Don't be silly, they're just using that character model for this cover, like they did with the others for the rest of dinobot month

Who's Grimlock?

Cool to finally have a date, but I can't say I'm horribly exited for this issue. I've never been a fan of Grimlock.

Perhaps that Battleship they found was the one Shockwave used? I mean, creepy ship full of science freak stuff? That's just screaming Shockers.

Honestly, I was thinking more Scorponok.

I mean, he was on Garrus 9 too and has a history of tampering with the bio-mechanical.

I'm going to go for a distant outsider now, I think it's Thunderwing's ship, he hasn't been seen for a while, and dialogue in Chaos did suggest that Thunderwing was around somewhere (and since Roberts did co-write Chaos as well...)
Sockie
I don't think Thunderwing has need of a ship. And seeing as how in the IDWverse, he's a mindless monster, I don't think he'd be in any condition to perform experiments, either. (plus, would he even fit in any of the rooms there?)

I love seeing the fandom excited about a new comic
Maverick Hunter Christian
Stormbringer implied, to me, that Thunderwing's spark had been extinguished -- that it was the ultra energon and the nerve impulses in the bio-armor keeping him moving.

...as for it being Shockwave's ship, where would he have found the time? He vanished before the war moved off Cybertron, and was imprisoned shortly after awakening again. I guess it could've been after he left Garrus-9, but the previous ongoing implied, again, to me, that he ran straight for the Decepticon asteroid base and got to work on Megatron and the new space bridge.

I keep getting all excited when I the KICKASS comic cover they show on the TFW homepage, thinking I'm gonna go get it next Wednesday....then I realize it's the RI cover.

Stop psyching me out!

We have nothing to support this supposition.

And Roberts only wrote the opening Kimia related dialogue in Chaos. If TW appears it'll probably be in RID since it's dealing more dealing directly with the dropped plots from the Furman IDW era.

I can't be the only one who's more interested in seeing what happens to Misfire and company, am I?
Arsenic
Who are the two bots on the cover A? I thought one of them is Misfire, but the design is different.

Milne said they were generics.
