In the United Kingdom's Movie Comic Issue #13 that was just released, Titan made a big announcement about another Transformers comic that they will be releasing. Later in the year, Titan will be releasing their own Transformers Animated comic in the United Kingdom! No other details were provided regarding the UK's Animated comic through the movie comic.

My copy of the UK Transformers magazine arrived this morning and the big news is:

The UK is getting a Transformers Animated Comic!

*EDIT*

They've also requested people to send letters in and the email address is GRIMGRAMS@titanemail.com!
Draven:
Sweet! The return of Grim-Grams!
Fit For natalie:
Awesome!
Big Bot:
Good to see some confirmation. This was hinted at in Hasbro's latest press release. Seems France may be getting something as well:

Rounding out the TRANSFORMERS ANIMATED adventure is a just-released series of four titles from HarperCollins and pending publishing deals with Titan Publishing Group in the UK and Hemma in France. IDW will also release four digest-sized comic books targeting the younger audience and American Greetings will develop both stickers and greeting cards to ship this fall.

I wonder how in-continuity Titan's stuff will be.
Jedah:
Wow thats awesome news! the return of grim grams too
Sledgehammer:
Heh, awesomeness on both counts.
Gingerchris:
I might try one to see how it turns out. I'm not a huge fan of the Animated designs, and I imagine the comic will probably be aimed far more kiddy than the show already is.
I do collect the current UK TF comic, which at least has more variety.
I guess I'll just suck it and see.
Takara_destron:
Excellent news!
knook:
This will be great, I loved what they did with the movie
Omnius:
Grim-Grams? Nice one! I wonder if he'll be deposed by Soundwave on the letters page at some point...
Optimus Sledge:
He'd be deposed by Dreadwind.
Omnius:
If he was in Animated.
SilverDragon:

Evidently, there isn't much to do on Dinobot Island when you aren't being controlled by madpeople.

Maybe this is a subtle clue that Dreadwind will show up in Animated, followed by Blaster.
Bumblethumper:
A second comic? I would think they'd be better off just expanding the regular comic. Anytime I've seen it, it's been fairly sparse on original material, and heavy on fluff. But I'm glad it's out there.

And it seems they just don't have the budget for polishing the artwork to the level that the IDW team manage. The artists seem competent enough, but the colours are usually hideous/rushed. I'll be interested in seeing how they fair with Animated.

I'm sure they'll fill it out nicely with half a dozen 'how to draw' pages.

Putting both titles into one would've been a better idea for readers. But I guess two separate comics means more cash for the makers.
BB Shockwave:
Even better news from Simon Furman's blog...

Hey BB Shockwave, I have been following TF Animated (not every episode but a goodly number), and I’m happy to confirm that I will be writing some TF animated comic strip for Titan’s upcoming comic release. More details on that soon!
This comic is looking more and more promising by the hour...
Optimus Sledge:
That is not good news.

Umm... why? From your Dreadwing/Blaster comment it seemed as you are familiar with Marvel UK...
Gingerchris:
I wonder how Animated would turn out after being Furmanised?

I'm very familiar with Marvel UK, living in the UK as I do. That's why I don't like Furman's work. I've seen it.
Red leader:
Cool, sign me up, I cant wait to get a marvel weekly again, those old G1 days were the best, hope this has a similar feel
