| Posted on 06-21-2008 at 10:36 AM by Sol Fury | Fans Project's stand at TFCon Toronto has a nice selection of their upcoming products - as well as their Cliffjumper set (no more to be made as the mold is destroyed) the awesome Ultra Magnus City Commander was on display. A version in Diaclone Powered Convoy colours was also on display, but this is not an actual product - it was just something done for fun to see how it might look. Also on display were the next planned releases - Classics and Henkei gun mode Megatron accessories (very cool) as well as a Matrix for your Classics Prime. The engineering on this piece is incredible - Fans Project designed the handles to pivot so the front of the Matrix will always be able to face forward regardless of the pose you put your Optimus in with it!
Alternators fans were not left out either, with a Matrix and gun accessory combo shown on tablet PC - although there was no hardcopy there it looked very impressive, the rifle turns into a gas tank that attaches to the rear of the truck.

sweet, I've been waiting for a mini megatron classics style gun for my cons. I'm also glad I got the magnus armor preordered. Any estimate on how much the matrix and meg gun is gonna cost?

Their work does look gorgeous; I seriously want that Alt matrix/rifle set. However, based on the prices for the Cliffjumper upgrade and the UM armour, I dread to think how much it'll be.

The Fans Project rep was extremely friendly and awesome to talk to. 
-Ultra Magnus armour is FUCKING ENORMOUS. I feel my pre-order $$$ have been well-spent.
-The Matrix was specifically designed to always face forward, because the Fans Project guys felt almost all matrix toys end up pointing an undynamic direction. Also, it'll come with a stand that lights up the centre crystal when its mounted there.
-Classics Megatron gun was in both the US and Japanese colour schemes, and looked just fabulous.
I can't say enough how nice the guy at the booth was. The Magnus armour is really a sight to behold, too. So. BIG.

How many people here are gonna have Ultra Magnus, in his armor, holding the matrix and reenacting his "death" scene from the first movie with Universe Galvatron, Titanium Scourge and Universe Cyclonus? I'm gonna try.

I had a feeling that someone would make Classics/Henkei Megatron (gun mode) for the Classics/Henkei figures and its what I imagine...wow..that is so cool and the Matrix of Leadership is cool as well for both the Classics and Alternators/Binaltech Transformers. So I was wondering is the Classics Matrix and Megatron (gun mode) are going to retailers or it was just for fun?

It's not a tablet PC, it's a digital photo frame. Very cool info though! I'm loving those accessories. I will kill to get them.

The Hasbro display was at the front of the convention, you didn't have to pay to see it. Some people were allowed to fiddle with some of the loose classics figures on display on top of the table. I transformed Onslaught myself, he's a nice, sturdy Voyager.

I don't realy care about the Matrix but I must have 1ea of the Megs guns. These guys are doing a good job of comming up with ideas for thier accessory packs.

In the end, if they do go through with it, it would be very limited. Its best to go to the FansProject website and send them an email asking about the repaint.

I've been looking forward to the ultra magnus upgrade kit. I saw a close up of the head at Tformers. Anyone else see it? The face and head look very different first prototype fans project showed us. I hope its not final. Looks very plain. What does everyone else think?

ok, i'm loving there new stuff (i am POSITIVE back when classics came out that i wished Megatron came with a small gun mode version of himself that could be held by other bots ), and i'm starting to get a wishlist for Fans Project umm, projects: G1 Prime rifle for Classics Prime and accurate Null-Rays/cluster bombs for the seekers (i really don't like how oversized the missiles are on the F-15 mold, it works on Ramjet, but 'd love to see something a bit smaller for the rest of the seeker crew.)
