ekocher:
thank god my friend is goin to the con
REDLINE:
no its black.
shibamura_prime:
Not bad. I may get shot for this, but I like the BotCon version A LOT more though. Purple Prime FTW!
Ezilla82:
I agree with ya guys I mean red windows and you know its Nemesis Prime. And we know that some or all of us could probably repaint a Classics OP and turn it into this badass.
Cloudraker:
It will come down to this.

It''ll be classics Ultra Magnus against this guy then classics Prime against botcon Prime. If they end up making Scourge then he'll face off with henkei prime.
WTF2005:
The originality of the color scheme is nothing short of startling... I would have NEVER thought of black, silver and TEAL!

Oh well, I guess it can't be helped. But I feel they've dragged this color scheme out a bit too far... I'd kill for a fresh color or two.

Why not just tell us what website you found it on?
Optimus747:
Taobao.com. I hadn't noticed it at first (thought it was just another Botcon Prime) but recognized the pic when I saw this thread. I'll post the auction link in a sec.

Cloudraker:
Thank you, Sir. I should've known by now.
Tekkaman Blade:
I'm going to comic con and I don't want it, where's my alt frenzy?

Hey, Why not Binaltch Frenzy.
bouncing boy77:
hopefully it'll be on hts just like rodimus last year.
Chosen:
You know, this SDCC Nemesis Prime looks surprisingly similar to you-know-who's Classic Nemesis Prime customs. Minus the difference in clear plastic color, it's just the addition of extra teal bits that really make it look different in robot mode. Don't know about vehicle mode, haven't seen one of hers transformed lately.

I could definitely go for one of these. I don't actually mind the lack of red either, since this mold has enough trouble trying to look like a proper Earth vehicle as it is.

A couple?

One for you and one for Freefall??

Thanks buddy, you're a standup fella
Nerdling:
Still not as good as the white chocolate deco, but much better than the crap botcon one. RID Scourge still owns it though. If I get it it'll be only to trade it.

No, this isn't part of the shattered glass botcon figures.

Its just the San Diego Comic Com exclusive Nemesis Figure
Johnator:
I want one of those so badly!
Bahamut Prime:
Hm, like the others, suggesting red windows, and possibly some red optics would make this cooler.
The Warrior:
Hmmm...this is the only SDCC exclusive I have ever considered picking up...God, I love this mold so much.
Omegatron1:
I'll get this for a reasonable price, but not for more than $25 + shipping. Of course, I say that now...
Feralstorm:
Wow, Nemmy Prime looks surprisingly boring to me, and I'm a fan of the Nem Prime/Scourge color scheme. While I don't like everything about Botcon SG Prime's colors, "boring" it is not. I do think red clear parts (windows, eyes) would have helped a lot here. I might try to get SDCC Nem Prime, but I'm definitely not going to work too hard or overpay to get it, or feel bad if I can't get it at all.

Between RiD and 'Destructicon' Scourges, I'm fairly set for Classics-ish Nemesis.
Red Alert:
I want that prime
BustaJesse:
Nemesis is a lot weaker than I was hoping for. I was looking forward to this repaint but something just does not sit right with me.

Nemmy Prime looks far superior.
Agreed. I'll be picking this one up.
Beastbot X:
Botcon Prime looks way better.

Still, Nemesis Prime's colors on this awesome mold is a win for me any way you look at it. Pickin' it up. It's only in COMPARISON to Botcon Prime that he looks dull. IMO, from best to worst:

-Botcon Prime
....
....
-Nemesis Prime
-Optimus Prime
-Ultra Magnus

You expected something different? It pretty much wasn't gonna be anything other THAN black and teal with a name like Nemesis Prime.
mineraljane:
Regrettably, I have to have this.
ORIO:
Am I nuts...? Or does SDCC always do a nemesis figure? Last year was the Tit Rodimus and the year before the alternator. Should we expect animated nemesis prime next year?

That would be PIMP

Indeed!
SkyQuake:
For my two Abrahams....

This colorscheme is not very exciting. I like the RID version better. It is not something that I would actively seek. Botcon Prime is more original as evil Primes go. Botcon Prime also looks more fun.

SDCC Nemesis- bland / loses.
REDLINE:
It looks bland because of the blue chest. blue chest, teal aps ... too similar. if he had red windows, that'd take care of that AND would give him red eyes.
G1Prowl:
Yeah, but red windows on an Alt mode equals fail. Unless, of course, more real life cars start using ruby windshields. I agree with red for the eyes, but it needs to have the clear/blue windows.

And as far as the paint scheme getting "played out"? Maybe you're right, maybe we ought to stop coloring Starscream in almost identical schemes every time he's come out. That and the fact that Nemmy didn't come out until Car Robots if you count the Black Convoy (which I do) and grey and red jets called Starscream have been in every series EXCEPT Car Robots. Heck, he even made a cameo in BW. I'd say they haven't hit this one ENOUGH

yeah, you and the majority of us that would probably be putting down up to 4 times that figure to get this off fee bay if we have too,
Laser_Optimus:
I really don't get why people say this scheme is played out... I don't get it when they say it about Magnus = Prime repaints either. Lazy? Perhaps. Overused... not when you consider the amount of TF characters that have been around since G1 that have carried the same color scheme slightly rearranged for their mold every series they showed up in. Starscream, Thundercracker & Skywarp come to mind (though, Cybertron SW was rather original wasn't he?), but most of the time the three core Seekers look rather similar color wise to their G1 selves. Same thing with Prime... red, blue and silvers... all the time (except with his 'upgrade' color schemes)... so... yeah... don't get it. I mean, I understand if you like the Botcon one better, but to say it's overused and played out? Yeah, not really following it.

This isn't a universe toy, its a classics toy. I don't see how having red windows making it less realistic is an issue. Also, if give him red eyes, he'll have red windows, the mold isn't designed for two different transparent plastic colors.
Robogeek28:
Personally this scheme hasn't been used ENOUGH as I'm still waiting for a Cybertron Optimus Prime repaint dammit!!
Thundershot:
I wonder if he'll have the Classics packaging (like this year's Botcon set) or Universe packaging (the new ones that aren't out yet)...

Too bad the club doesn't seem to do "big" figures like that. Slap a new Motormaster head on him and call him Menasor (like the Classics Legends fig, and the head was seen that way on the Botcon 2007 Classics litho)

Chris
G1Prowl:
The head is a separate piece, so yes, you COULD have red eyes and blue windshields. Not sure if those pieces are injection molded at the same time, that'd be the only thing stopping it
Anti Spark:
Not bad.

For me it's a combination of issues. We've had the concept of an "evil Prime" for a while now, that nothing has really been done with fictionally except for RID (his origin). Sure there were good text stories of him like Binaltech, but those are limited in scope. I would need more fiction for him. The fact that BotCon evil Prime has an equal cast to work with excites me more, and gives him more relevance. SDCC Prime is bland in color when compaired to this year's BotCon Prime. As usual it's merely a matter of opinion.

On a side note: I've toyed with the idea of removing some of the battle damage on BotCon Prime.... but I'd rather see him up close, and personal first. A dirty Prime may fit his character better. I painted BotCon Huffer's robot parts Marvel purple, with yellow eyes, and like him much better that way.

Heck, they've done Alternators/Binaltech with red windshields (Dead End, Nemmy Prime)
My main problem with SDCC Nem Prime is it looks TOO much like the first image we've seen, which was only a high-contrast black & white photo of the Classics prime.
REDLINE:
I don't believe that they can.
Rodimus Major:
I'm hoping I can get this. I'm a big fan of the black Primes. Hopefully it'll be on hasbrotoyshop.com and I can catch it before it's gone so I don;t have to pay ebay prices again like I did fopr Alt Nemmy.
Scourge:
Of course no one can top this one done by the one and only OP_was_a_trukk

And complete with his Trailer of Death And Torture

Railguard:
Hey now that is one kick ass Prime!!!! Now were in the hell can I get a trailer for my classic Prime?!!

That trailer is a G2 Trailer, he just added pieces and paint.
twee:
lulz, the funny thing is the half of you complaining about this piece are still gonna be paying excessive amounts of money to obtain this guy.

srsly tho, I'm going to SDCC, so why not get him? Yeah, he's "boring", but that don't mean the black doesn't make him badass. Like everyone, I really did wish the windshield was red, but that's not going to make or break my sale, by any means.
REDLINE:
At least its easy enough to make the windows red, just open the chest, slid that piece out, and coat the interior with a red Sharpie or clear red paint.
