| Prototype San Diego Comic Con Exclusive Nemesis Prime With Red Windows |
| Posted on 04-21-2008 at 02:20 PM by REDLINE | RSS Feeds | TFW2005 has brand new images of the upcoming San Diego Comic Con exclusive Transformer, Classics Nemesis Prime. These are of a prototype, complete with "Not For Sale" stamped on it, and a white X to deface the figure. The biggest reveal here is that he has red transparent eyes and windows, as well as no silver stripes in Alternate mode.

Additional Images | | | | REDLINE: Oh man I hope THAT is what we get. Faction is all wrong, but that's easy as pie to correct. Much more "Nemesis" colored! Codimus Prime: It's still pretty early, that could be a finishing detail for the actual con. WhiteMocha: Oooh, nice. I hope that's what the final product looks like as well. Love the matte grey faceplate, the grey grille and bumper, and the blue stripes. And phew, red windows and eyes!

I still want this regardless….but I would want it A LOT more if the red windows remained through unveiling… Optimus Scourge: Nice. A couple Reprolabels Decepticon stickers, and he will be perfect! superquad7: I think he looks a bit . . . plain. The red eyes are a must, but I don't care either way about the windows. I'm not liking how the black and gray mismatch either.

I know SDCC is in July..am i correct?? Ops_was_a_truck: I remember doing one of those! Runamuck: Ok, so they make the Prototype right and the final one not right? Ooook. Red Snarl: This one looks like henkei prime. The other looks like classics prime.
I liked the teel on the sholders and the decepticon symbol on the truck mode so hopfully that gets transfered to this one if this is what Nemesis is going to look like.
Unless this Black Convoy insted of Nemesis. superquad7: Guys, the faction symbols will be fixed for the final version 
I just hope more teal is added to give a bit more contrast. Feralstorm: Yeah, this one is definitely based on the Henkei paint masks.
There were certain things I liked better about the last one, but I like this one better overall. Still can't say either version gets me into any kind of "gotta havvit" frenzy though like the Alts did (and I like Classics better than Alts.)
Needs big shoulderpads for that RiD Scourge look. NGW: Once again, really dig the look of it and not having the mold already...assuming Hasbro doesn't fuck up again this year, I'm so getting him. Scourge: Humm I wonder who you did it for ........ Oh yea you mean this one  SmokescreenWRX: I'm not big on repaints, but I'd pick that up in a beat... throw a couple of Gen-2 upside-down Autobot glyphs on there, and call it Scourge.

Makes me wonder... are we going to see two different releases? One at SDCC for Classics (Nemesis Prime) and than another over in Japan (Black Convoy)? Which, if this one is supposed to be Black Convoy it would explain why he has the Autobot symbols on him...
And, there is precedent for this... Alternators Nemesis Prime (and SDCC exclusive) did later receive a limited release in Japan (forget who had it... think it might have been wonderfest, but not sure) as BT Black Convoy.

Namely because the Nemesis Prime we saw earlier looked completely finished, whereas this one still has the wrong faction symbols.
Personally, I like one as much as the other. Red windows look better in robot mode IMO, but this version looks dull in vehicle mode compared to the other one. lookinglasself: This looks MUCH better.
