Is it the Japaness releasing of the Ultimate Battle pack?
KING KONVOY:

GetterDragun:
Optimus will be in Shattered Glass colors!
SydneyY:
You guys all know what recent TV Magazine LDs are like
AFAIK they are both gold chromed, limited to 5. I'll see if I can get a scan somewhere or someone in Japan might come up with one? grock35:
aww...plain gold chrome
i mean it's nice and all but they need to go back to those crazy color schemes
like make prime green and pink with a splash of purple...you know something a kid would do

LD Galvatron SmokescreenGT:
Prime and Galvy look good in gold. Very nice. G1Wheeljack:
I pretty much called this when I hoped they'd be chrome. 5 each is a real small run, are all LD's this small of a run?
Easterling Capt:
5 ..luckely nothing I want. Shrudders of the price tag...

Deceptigtar:
how are these obtained, not that i would shell out cash for it but are they just given out?

| No. Normally it's between 50-100, with a few being between 5-30 and the odd one or two being less (Custom Galaxy Convoy for example).
In the past Japanese stores have also shared a prize toy with TV Magazine, helping to pay for the costs of the production run. These occasions are less well documented then the Japanese magazine give-aways. Quote: |

| Yes - which is what dictates a toy to be a Lucky Draw (or campaign prize draw) toy rather than just a magazine exclusive (such as SL Black Rodimus).
Galvatron looks nice though
cheetorBWORG:
Why does Prime seem to have a Purple faction symbol? Is it really just a chromed Shattered Glass Prime?

Man he looks awesome, but the price tag will likely be out of this world. How do you get LD's without a bottomless checkbook? I've always been curious on that.

deaculpa:
Anyone know how I can enter the drawing for the LD's? cuz I aint got $x,000.00 to spend on this.
Peanut04:
Well, Prime looks pretty cool. I'm suprised they used the Galvatron mold. Maybe all that gold chrome will help hold him together, lol. I like the Lucky Draws more when they are in the wierd colors though.
Nerroth:
Maybe the LD Galvatron could be used as the Shattered Glass version of Astral Form Primus!
Chainclaw:
For all those after the two golden Henkei, good hunting Railguard:
I'm sorry I'm confused. I must have fallen asleep at some point. Who is Dark Convoy and which line does he belong to? Is he Nemesis Prime or something?

Weird seeing prime with decepticon symbols on him...
Anyway to stop Michael Bay from seeing these pics??? Otherwise we might be getting ghetto-fabulous bling-a-licious Gold Plated Ultra Magnus in the movie....
Basketball Jones:
I'm fairly certain the Lucky Draw collectors DO have bottomless pocketbooks, or are simply skilled artists who can apply gold chrome to plastic store-bought figures.
It's probably cheaper to purchase the equipment needed to vacuum-metallize plastic and do it yourself than purchase 3-5 LDs.

waits for UC to do a gallery. wonders how long it will take before he gets one,
Shall we make a online betting table `2$ per guess deaculpa:
don't they always just give these away instead of sell them? The last set I saw was free with with a purchase of $3000 (or was it $10k?) at some expo/convention in japan. I'm just saying, has anyone ever seen one for sale?
aussiehippy:
Do all the people who win them sell them for incredible amounts of cash to LD collectors?
Or do any of the winners actually keep them for their own collections, thereby removing it from the market?
Coz 5 is not a big number at all, and if all the winners want to keep them, LD collectors would be out of, er, luck.

However, ppl who want to obtain from said winners would have to pay $$$.
And the convention ur referring to is the Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong 2008, where Hasbro HK was giving away 10 of the 88 Gold Optimus Prime movie toys that were made, for the first 10 people to spend $3000 HKD ($387 USD) at their booth. Same situation as above, some of the ppl who were able to get one tried to resell theirs for $3-4K. Quote:

Some LD collectors who have LDs keep them for a few years and resell them. And some LD collectors who are insane and persistant, will find a way to get a rare LD. *cough*ulatrconvoy*cough* | | Tools and Information | | | | | | | New TV Magazine Lucky Draws of Henkei Convoy and Galvatron - Transformers News.
