Oh MAN! I'm so glad I pre-ordered this. I didn't fully understand the stealth mode and the hitch for powered convoy. But seeing this now is AWESOME! i thought it came wiht extra pieces that had to be removed(which i've never been a big fan of, if they can go somewhere else cool, but remove and put on a shelf when not using it? boooring) but seeing how they did this is just pure win. I'm actually considering getting a PC now, and only because of how well it works with everything else. The way the did the hitch is just to slick. Amazing work as always FP! I'll be seeing you at Cybcon!
Randy!
Paradigm-Shift Prime:
Wow Fansproject, a bit of chrome and a couple of stickers. Way to fulfill your promise after breaking your first promise of making substantial differences from the TFCon version (extreme sarcasm) Thundershot:
Instead of making a Springer figure, they should try making an upgrade kit to make Classics (Botcon) Springer a triple-changer. Or even the Universe (Target) Springer into a car. Or both. That way, people need the toys first...

DestronGenerals:
man i would get this if i could afford it. i'm not ignoring whats already been debated about with prime trailers but personally its travesty to me that they don't sell primes with trailers anymore... makes prime less regal, looks less like the leader he should. they've always been fun to play with; even if the gimmick sucks just dragging it around the floor with the trailer turning behind the cab was always cool for me.
Lucs:
First of all this thing is pretty amazing and the extra weapons are awesome. On the downside for me is the blue on the bottom of the trailer, it just seems really out of place. The DIA Commander new colors do not flow well with the new G3 trailer at all. The TFCon one looks way better with OP in truck mode and the change in paint is very obvious in trailer mode. Bot mode not as much but they are different with the addition of chrome. I'd say the differences are enough to make them both desirable in there own unique way
frenzy_rumble:
stealth mode looked a lot better in the earlier pics.
frilly toothpick:
stealth mode ftw!! very cool weapons add on, everything looks great. please, fp, dont release the springer, and junkion figures, most of us want you around for a very long time.

I think an empty slot for the cab will give us the option to store our own cab in the box, Classic or Henkei. Quite thoughtful really. Makes the box a much better looking display piece if we decide to box up everything after play. The trailer will look kind of lonely by itself inside the windowed box. Venksta: Quote:

If stores like BBTS get them, they will be more expensive then the TFCon version.
RedAlert Rescue:
It's interesting to see how the daisy chained TF trailer attaches to the G3 Trailer.
I was hoping that it would have a 5th wheel spur on it that sort of connection would also allowed another trailer to be attached like say Armada Overload, or the BTS trailers. it looks like clasps the whole trailer in a solid grip though rather than just sitting on it's peg... a slight disapointment perhaps - besides i've always thought that the G3 would have been ideal in the middle and the TFC trailer on the back.. with a BTS trailer on the front - unfortunately that's not possible.
The array of bonus weapons is interesting though I'm not so sure I like them all as chromed pieces however. I do hope that if they do repaint the trailer one of the things they do is not chrome the weapon accessories on any possible repaint, being chromed like that means that it's another set of weapons only best suited to Henkei toys and that clashed with the classics / Universe toys a little.
A different color set of alternative weapons would then work better with other characters like Red Alert, Botcon Grimlock, Bugbite and so on... and a plainer weapon set for Hound would look more military in the alt mode if it wasn't chromed for the classics toy.
I'm quite happy with the "Bumblebee" gun that came with the BTS trailer- that also works well with Hound too. I've found it a generally useful gun as Black goes with nearly everything.
The cannon that come with the g3 should look good with a henkei Hound mind you - I'd have liked to have seen Grimlocks (?) sword in clear plastic or laquered red though - I think that would look best.
G3 Looks like a nice piece - I have been wondering lately why Hasbro have not reissued the Classics Prime perhaps with a few color tweaks it would be good for all these trailers ou can get to have another Optimus one with Black Legs Maybe or flames ? - It looks like something that would be popular with people and it's been a while since it was out now - perhaps some more stock of the asian market Optimus & Magnus for other places in the world would be useful if not a new tweaked color version.
I'll have more Trailers than I do Optimus as is.
I am looking forward to the trailer though - I like that a place has been provided to put your autobot logo on the side - though some might say it spoils the stripe like a little.
My only minor complaint would be that I'd have liked to have seen a couple of holes for weapons on the front side of the G3 trailer [for the commander launchers] and I'd be interested to know if the weapons platform can display out of the trailer when the trailer is closed as can be done with the original 1980's mold Optimus Trailer.
I'll be getting this and will probably play with it a great deal and if they make a Black one I'd buy that as well - I might even use the black one with the red Optimus for a G2 look and the Silver one with Shattered Glass Prime for a Motormaster look.
Seeing this has reminded me though isn't the better quality trailer for MP Optimus Prime being reissued too ?
Angelwave:
Both pieces are amazing. The G3 trailer, has won me over the BTS version.
I really hope that FP will take the time and craft a specific trailer for Nemesis Prime. I like the Shadow Commander piece, but it would be really be nice to have something specific for him, like a tanker.

get us info on the Superion set!!! | I'm guessing they're making a mockup box as a homage to G1 Optimus' box... that might even be the actual packaging, with a space in it for Henkei Prime. Though, that'd be new, as FansProject has been fairly minimalist in its packaging so far.

But I suspect the box is just a prototype for now until they put some sort of design on it.

It looks like the box is being done to help complete classics prime to being a true update to G1 as a complete package. So not only will you get a trailer with roller and extras, you also have a nice new box to hold all that and optimus in. Very cool idea. This is what makes fan groups cool, they can go the extra distance to really make their finished product something worthwhile.
xNotMyFuturex:
So glad I pre-ordered this.
Agent-GHQ:
I'm disappointed! I thought it was supposed to be chrome?? And I think the color for his head should have been blue and the chest in red just like the regular OP!!
SMOG:
OMG... Roller is soooooooo CUTE!!
Ahem. Yeah. Great design overall. So many innovative touches... I love the way Roller stows without cutting down on the space inside the trailer. Smart move, that.

The Powered Commander repaint is still suppose to be a homeage to Diaclone Powered Convoy, the original Ultra Magnus toy before it became a Transformer brand figure. They added chrome to the chest and legs, as well as changed the side walls of the trailer, and changed the plastic color from red to blue for the arm panels.
alfred p. sloan:
I absolutly love the "Sub-Space" Mode.
G1Jetfire:
Loving the looks of the MP3 trailer. It's going to look great with the TFCon Powered Commander I found on ebay (for a lot less than the combined cost of a plane ticket, passport, hotel room and the price of the toy at TFCon). Hoping the MP UM trailer is still on the production line.

Cool either way I suppose
Kyle Chow's post below really should put to rest all the side talk about Powered Commander in this thread... It's different. Significantly. Get over it.

DrillBIT:
Maybe storage for future usage...?
Hint for a brand new cab maybe? Agent-GHQ:
Ahhh... frak! The trailer wheels doesn't even match the cab wheels!
Wh33ls:
Damn, that trailer is teh secs'z!
I might actually break down and preorder one, if the PC repaint will be available too. Lbsammills51:
Wow, the trailer looks really nice. I'm glad I preordered that thing. Very nifty.
I really hope a Shadow Commander repaint comes out later too.

Expensive.
But.
Bought.
unicronsupreme:
ugh, I wish the weapons weren't chrome. I never liked that on any of the Henkei other than cyclonus and Dinobot.
PrimulArchangel:
Whats up wih the mirrors ? Does it transform into a changing mirror for prime and company ? Pretty silly gimic if you ask me and it looks a little off scale to prime.
Solrac333:
The new pics look awesome! As for the power commander, it might be cheaper to get another City or Shadow commander and repaint it.
