| MP-07 Thundercracker, New Henkei, Nissan GT-R Solicited for October & November |
| Posted on 06-17-2008 at 07:34 AM by Tim Formas | | Digital Toys has let TFW2005 know that TakaraTomy has released official solicitations for several new Transformers, among with is the confirmation of the next Masterpiece figure. MP-07 will be Thundercracker, who will be released in November. Six new Transformers Henkei (Japanese Classics) will be released in October. Among the six are: C-09 Lamborghini, C-10 Streak, C-11 Ironhide, C-12 Ratchet, D-05 Octane, and D-06 Galvatron. TakaraTomy is also soliciting a Nissan GT-R Transformer in two different colors (Silver and Red) for a November release, but did not specify which Transformers line this item will fit into. However, the car is very similar to the silhoutetted car on the sign from the Binaltech Display at the Shizuoka Hobby Show in Japan in May. The sign suggested that mystery car would be coming soon.

i have no other b/t or alts but im hoping to get this. is b/t a US release or strictly a japanese thing where you have to import it in?
mp thundercracker...sounds cool to me...if i have 100 to spare...and maybe the other seekers. so what is there? 2 starscreams (the one thats green/black and the G1 colours?)and skywarp released for seekers?

The classics are cool, but I couldn't be less excited about MP-07. I know a lot of people love having the seeker set, but being someone who doesn't, I feel its a great waste to have MP-07 be a repaint of a mold I'm not crazy about and think is too small for an MP, ESPECIALLY since it's been repainted twice. I am happy for everyone excited for the last of the three first seekers, but I just feel MP-07 should have been something original.

As a Thundercracker fan I love the choice for MP-07. As for why MP-07 wasn't Grimlock, perhaps the engineering to create the toy took longer to finish. Or Takara wanted to make some more cash and what better way then repainting an existing mold that your customers of the original are almost guaranteed to buy. If it is indeed the former, then I'll take Thundercracker now and wait for a better MP Grimlock design.

I might get a MP Thundercracker depending on how good it looks and if the price goes down. MP Starscream (Hasbro) is one of my all-time favorite figures, so Thundercracker would probably be cool, too.

Both of them were Lambos. Sideswipe a Countach and Sunstreaker some modified version of a Lambo.

For Henkei it's sweet, but please, stop announcing them and give us accurate pics of what they'll look like, no half assed photoshop low res pics  Universe are already starting to show up, and I'd like to see both version to choose wich one I buy.

Well, on one hand I'm thrilled and overjoyed to be getting Thundercracker (After they released the USA repaint in Japan it was inevitable) ... on the other hand, it renders my own repaint custom Thundercracker pretty pointless.

Cool. This means that Grimlock should be a 2009 release. That's good, as it'll give me some more time to save up for him. The only thing that catches my interest is the "Nissan GT-R Transformer coming in November, in both red and silver.". It's probably a Binaltech, but it would be interesting if it turned out to be something for the Henkei line, and have a Hasbro version of it in the Universe line.

A new Binaltech, that was unexpected, more repaints sure but a whole new mould leaves me wondering how true this is.
I hope it is of course, BT's are cool and the GT-R is a sweet ride.

I wouldn't hold my breath, as while I expect a decent blue, he'll be like the other two, and have all the jet deco greatly subdued, and robot mode too.
I don't understand the hoopla here, Takara solicited a teaser image of MP TC in the box of MP SW, so its not a shocking surprise. I get those who are excited, as I am too, but those freaking out and getting bent out of shape and upset? We've seen this coming for how long now?

I have mixed feelings about the MP release - it is inevitable, but do I really need a third version of the same toy? Have to see what extras he comes with, if any.
Quite pleased that there may be another BT figure, but guess I'll wait to see who it is.

As expected as it was, MP07 being Thundercracker is a huge letdown. The last 3 masterpieces were all the same mold, it's just a waste. I can understand that there are people that make a huge deal about wanting to complete the seekers (though if you really want to be technical, the original MP03 certainly could be seen as TC anyways), but I'd much rather get a new mold before having yet another release of Starscream, just with a different colorscheme.
