Very nice, but I'll still stick with my Classics ones. The only Takara repaint I'm looking forward to seeing is Powerglide. I might buy him over the Classics one, depending on price...

ramjet looks plain...as does skyfire....I'll stick with the classics ones. I just want Astrotrain.

I think the plainess of Skyfire makes me want to add hiim to my collction so that I could have both Jetfire & Skyfire

Ah, nice. I think I'll at least get Henkei Jetfire and use him (sans armor) as Skyfire. Ramjet looks a little dull compared to his Classics version though...

I'm really not liking any of the Henkei repaints except Megatron and Astrotrain. The paint aps are too plain, even if they are more G1 accurate.

I don't know what to think of Ramjet yet. I love the toon-accurate color scheme, but it's a shame that despite the bright red used for his distinctive wings, this doesn't really help with such a drab robot mode. Even though he seems to have more white parts than the Classic version. I'm weirded out by this.

Skyfire is a definite no. More toon-accurate or not, those new colors are far, far too boring. Definitely not different or "improved" enough to warrant importing, unlike maybe Prime or Megatron (haven't decided).

Same here. I kinda like Screamer and Bumblebee, though.

Hmmm only thing useful on Ramjet would be the wings to swap onto the classics version... other then that... Meh.

Hmm. Interesting. I figured they would use red plastic for Ramjet's wings, but I sure didn't see the white feet and forearms coming. It's not really an improvement... I think the Hasbro version looks better.

As for Skyfire, I was wondering what they could possibly do to make it look different or "more G1", since the U.S. version was already fairly perfect. Painting the upper cockpit... interesting choice. And not a good one. I'm also quite surprised they left the forearm launchers black, instead of making them completely red. They must have already shared a mold with the other black parts, thus making it impractical to mold them separately in a different color.

So, now that I've said I prefer the Hasbro versions of both of these, what am I gonna do? Why, purchase them anyway, of course!

Still have people championing the whole "HASBRO SUCKS TAKARA IS DA SHIET" attitude with Henkei though, so far anyway.

I may be in the minority, but I am really liking the henkei paint schemes compared to classics. I like both, but the takara version just seems more subtle and "real world" with less stripes, outlines, etc.

The skyfire is cool, but the ramjet looks nice.

It's too bad Ramjet's so plain cause it fixes my main complaint about the Hasbro version, the wings are painted the right color on both sides. It doesn't look like it would match the shade of brownish-red the Hasbro version uses, either, so no wing swapping

these are just terrible. I wonder what DON thinks of the repaint of his jetfire design. that tiny cockpit on jetfire looks hilarious.

They're pretty cool, but a little plain for me, I might get Henkei Jetfire because I don't have him though.

YES. I'm picking up Skyfire. He may have less deco but he's cartoon accurate.

I like the "Skyfire" repaint, but not enough to replace the Classics version. I did, though, go for Starscream, Bumblebee, and Astrotrain. Those three were definite buys for me.

Wow, I surprisingly like both Hasbro versions much more, especially for Jetfire, who reminds me of Henkei BB in terms of the blandness of the retouches.

Both look dull. Jetfire looks alot more like it's cartoon counter part.

Ramjet is dull but I still might pick him up for kitbash material or just paint his forearms and feet myself. I'm a sucker for the seeker molds.

Both versions of Ramjet are fine IMHO.

Neither of these are in the "worth buying if one already has Classics" category for me. I can see the work to look like cartoon Skyfire, but Ramjet just looks dull in the plainest and simplest possible way.

Skyfire was changed? Where? I only see he has more white on the nose and the thrusters and a small blue patch on the back... that's hardly enough to warrant me paying 40$ for the same toy in the almost same colors...

Ramjet will be replacing my Classics Ramjet, though! The lighter grey helps to show off the highlights of the design, and the - for me - most important fact is, that his wings are red on the underside too! Classics Ramjet looked too dark with black wing undersides.

I'll probably replace my Classics Ramjet too. Never did understand why Hasbro had those striped paint apps on Ramjet (as well as on SS & Skywarp too).

Jetfire looks cool, but red eyes on his visor? I don't get it. Chrome looking exhausts = awesome, though!

Annnnd, Ramjet is a big wtf. I don't see any chrome-looking pieces and the colors aren't very cartoon accurate. Especially the hands.

I have both Starscreams and side by side, the Henkei one is amazing. I got some silver paint and got rid of some of the yellow bits on my Classic Prime, it made a big difference. Half way to Henkei or something like that. Haha. Too bad Henkei aren't made with good ol' metal body parts!

The Starscream is awesome so is Megatron, Astrotrain, Prime, and that Ramjet looks really good. I like Jetfire but not sure on buying it since I already have the original.

Pass on both. Skyfire is more accurate, but I love my classics one and this doesn't justify the cost. Ramjet is straight up WEAK. First one where I think hasbro's effort is clearly superior.

Easy pass on both. The Classics versions' more elaborate color schemes are better representatives of the IDW Jetfire and Ramjet. These are just way too plain, and I LOVED the Henkei Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.

I like the red visor on Skyfire's Macross helmet,though.

Thought about it some more, and I think this is what I might do. But Ramjet will be expendable, and get cut out of the budget if the exclusive Henkei seekers are more expensive than I'm expecting and warrant a purchase. I'd go for him just because I'm thinking I'll get all the Henkei Decepticons, really.

Megatron & Astrotrain are the only 2 worth a damn.

What's funny is the blue 'window' TakaraTomy painted to resemble Skyfire's secondary cockpit canopy is actually the plane's air brake.

According to a post on the Allspark? (I don't know for sure since somebody else told me), Don says he didn't design Jetfire. He managed to get a look at the prototype and decided to use it in Stormbringer.

I like Skyfire/Jetfire, but Ramjet is a very mediocre repaint of my favorite deluxe mold.

Hasbro's color scheme is undeniably better. The use of dark grey on the forearms and silver for the abdomen with details in gold and black is much better than the simplistic usage of color we see here.
