Cybertron Philippines has gotten a hold of a copy of the Transformers Henkei comic book that will be included in the upcoming Henkei C-06 Skyfire and D-04 Ramjet releases. The comic book is currently being given away at the 2008 Tokyo Toy Show. The images of the comic book can be seen by clicking the Cybertron Phillippines link or by clicking on the image to the left.

firstpredacon:
Cybertron Philippines able to get a copy of the comic that will come with Henkei Skyfire from the ongoing Tokyo International Toy Fair.

Here are pics that I took. Apologies for some of the blurred shots. I just used my digicam.

note: these are large pictures.
DestronGenerals:
is there a doctor (spengler) in the house?
Josh:
why they gotta draw everything so awesome??

i love it xD
Lumpy:
seems like the story is kinda g1ish with jetfire choosing his sides...that's cool...
Kingplay:
looks more like the classic version of jetfire rather than the g1

Lord Of Tetris:
Now that's some slick art.
Johnator:
That stuff looks amazing. I wish we would get those with Universe. That would be sweet.
SarahMobius:
Wow. I will defiantly be trying to track myself down a copy of this.... hope it doesn't cost a small fortune. Maybe some nice person will scan/torrent it >.<
shibamura_prime:
Niiiiice. Still loving that Henkei Skyfire.
Bête Noire:
I posted this info at the Allspark, where I first saw this comic:

I'll do a full translation of this manga come July after the toys are released but for the time being, the title of the manga is:
"Perhaps the Time Has Come for Me to Fight as a Soldier, Too."

Hot Rodimus is released on Thursday next week, and I'm hoping the manga picks up a little bit like the Astrotrain issue (#2). The first one was "rearry" boring.

Just a short summary, it looks as if Ramjet found Skyfire, who used to work with Starscream a long time ago before Starscream was a soldier. Skyfire teams up with the Decepticons until he realizes that there's no point to the fighting, at which time he turns on the Decepticons, stating that he doesn't like the fighting and is just a scientist. It's assumed that he joins the Autobots after he says that he didn't get along well with Starscream.
videriant:
Does the comic explain Skyfire, the peaceful scientist's, weaponry? =P

"First, 'Peace' as you call it, is an illusion. If you have 'Peace,' you simply haven't yet seen the thing that's trying to kill you. Second, Peaceful missions through the cosmos rarely require weapons large enough to punch holes through a small moon." -The Spathi High Council

Well it seems that Starscream gives Skyfire his helmet. It's entirely possible that the rest of his weaponry is a gift, too.
I mean, as Skyfire seems to have crashed and frozen before the war, it seems more logical that the weapons are a new addition rather than pieces of old.
Zie:
I didn't know he came with a comic book

...that will make getting him all the more sweeter

When is he due out?
Soundwave2:
Who's the decepticon Henkai shadow? The autobot one is Prowl, right?
Sprocket:
They're both Autobots: Sunstreaker and Prowl.
Omnius:
I love the little extras like this that Henkei come with.
mizuki088:
I was only starring at the new coming SunStreak and Prowl.
Laser_Optimus:
Nice. I really dig the comics that come with the Henkei figures, but in and of itself it's not worth getting another version of the toy most of the time... Henkei Powerglide OTOH will be mine... oh yes...
Autovolt 127:
Godamnit know i want Skyfire,

The Magna is too much like fire in the sky but awesome.

C-07 and 08 are Prowl and Sunstreaker.
Nagaoka:
In addition to the summary already given, Starscream essentially brainwashed Skyfire into fighting using the mind control battle helmet.

Infosaur:
Chest looks slightly different
Pravus Prime:
I really like the mold, so I went ahead and preordered him. It's supposed to be out in July, and the Manga seems not too bad. The Helmet that controls thing is a bit hokey, but eh.

The paint job is growing on me more and more, I like the look. Also, nice on the cover art of having Jetfire look as much like a VF-1S with Strike Pack as possible.
