FansProject Powered Commander To Be Reissued With Chrome 1242084416150
FansProject will be reissuing their Powered Commander trailer/armor set, compatible with Classics/Henkei Optimus Prime/Convoy figures, for the Japanese market. This time around, it will feature chrome parts, to fit in with the Henkei figure.

Unlike the previous release at TFCON, this will not be limited. It will be available soon.

Thanks to 2005 boards member Red Leader of sponsor Kapow Toys for the heads up.

UPDATE: A comparison photo has been posted to the discussion thread. You can view it by clicking the thumbnail at left. The TFcon exclusive is on the right, on the left is the reissue.

Jesus wept. Seriously. You say something, someone else says something, you say the same thing again, and then so do they. Wash, rinse, repeat for over 1000 posts.
This isn't an argument, it's a rerun.

If you are fine with others being hurt as long as it does not impact you personally than why do you care if others disagree with you and with hold their business from FP and find what they did underhanded?
Honestly, I don't care what you do. It's cool with me. It's the way you present yourself that I find distasteful... (holier than thou is a figure of speech and you don't have to be religious to be such)... in such a way that you come off as if you are superior for your position and have taken a moral high ground (especially when morality is a very subjective thing) and, regardless of your beliefs (which I honestly couldn't care less about), I find anyone who puts themselves on such a pedestal to be rather arrogant and high on themselves.

In short... it's not your beliefs but the way you present them and yourself.

Okay here is the thing though, we all buy toys made in china, which choke this planet and contaminate it with fire retardant chemicals. Think of all the waste in a TF package, thats an environmental no no.... Even our own little hobby has major repercussions that effect everyone globally, not just this little fandom.

You can't open that can of worms about man harming his fellow man and holding yourself above that without being a little bit hypocritical. Are you not going to watch porn since its exploits the innocent and naive youth, or not see the next big Disney Pixar Movie since they own 90% of the adult entertainment industry ( and is an evil Conglomerate).

1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, esp. a person whose actions belie stated beliefs.
2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, esp. one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements.

I did go to Tfcon, a day long trip, spent hundreds on travel and lodging, just for the PC since I thought it was an exclusive. Woke up at 5:30 so i could get in line at 7, paranoid they would sell. out. Am i mad, well yea. Is that anger at fansproject? Nope.

No offense, I love the TFCon staff ( although they did express an anti American sentiment ) I'd have to say the fault lies with them. Things should have been in writing before they advertised PC as an exclusive. And maybe I'm wrong but i doubt they didn't know about the Japanese release. That being said I'd still even go back next year since i had such a great time in Toronto.

Indeed, its is a living for them and TFCON has already made their money and FP is has made their money and are making more. Whats the problem? Its not like people are trying to return their TFCON armor sets to TFCON and getting their money back. If anything they are selling their sets on the second hand market which would have happened anyway.

Same could be said when dreamwave didn't pay their artists, It is just a comic book! What about when 88mph failed to deliver pre-orders... those who got it from amazon got theirs, it is just a book and 35$ who cares if some people were screwed?

If people have to marginalize it to make themselves feel better then why are they marginalizing it? Just admit that they don't care about what people do to others as long as they don't screw them personally. I don't like what they did to TFCON and won't support FP until they work out a solution with TFCON. (IE: the final asian release is approved by TFCON and they are happy with the outcome which I doubt will happen)

How important of a product does a company have to sell before lying and cheating customers becomes actually wrong?

I blame TFCon.

So the final price is down to Tcon NOT Fp?
So Tcon are the greedy ones who made Powdered Commander sell for nearly twice the normal price of these sets? Isn't that the fact that everyone should be angry about... Some wanna-be botcon trying to inflate the price of bootleg products just to make a quick buck. Ever get the feeling you have been cheated?

I blame the price jump on the laws of supply and demand....but please indulge us with your reasoning.

And if the company takes steps to make up for the mistake? What then?

You're coming across like FansProject deserve to go out of business for this. Bigger companies have made bigger mistakes, and they've survived.

Watching Wall-e supports drug addicted teens make porn eh? That's a new one... And people said KO's supporting terrorisim was a stretch.
