Bot Shots Three Packs Released at US Retail

Eeesh, $14.99. It's nice that they're out and I might get the Acid Storm set for that price, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I'll have to wait until Target has them for $5 less.

Considering the figures each go for $4.99, $14.99 isn't exactly a crazy price.

Cool, these are coming out already? I've already decided to go completist on this line, but I think I'll wait until they arrive at a cheaper store (especially now that we're just around the corner from these things being released at Target and other places).


If the 3-pack with Prowl is out, though, it's going to be REALLY tough to say no.

I was originally stoked for the Acid Storm one until I saw a photo of it. I'm really bummed out that he's molded in neon, translucent plastic.

You've also got the Autobots one with Prowl, Sentinel Prime and Bumblebee. Solid coloured version of Sentinel too, not clear like the single pack one.

It's because he's considered one of the "chase" figures. All the chase molds are translucent. Hope we get a solid colored one as well eventually.

I was thinking the same thing, buy my OCD probably wouldnt allow me to only get one or two, and the paint apps (on the feet) on Optimus Prime in bot mode in the package kind of turned me off. I may still grab Optimus at some point, but I really don't need to start another line, as "cute" as they actually are.

When I bought mine it was only 12.99 and I used the $3 coupon so being 9.99 seemed worth it. Plus the stats are different on these ones.

considering these toys are 3.99 at target, I bet these packs will be showing up there for 9.99 or less. I'll buy them then.

i actually bought one of these bots the other day. optimus prime of coarse. i have to say even if they are a little high priced they are fun to throw at the wall.

Awesome! I love the botshots! I'm a sucker for mini transformers! I picked up barricade the other day and love it! Acid storm would be a sweet addition!!

I hope Toys R Us will have deal where you buy Transformers worth x combined and get a pack of botshots free. I don't see myself buying these toys otherwise.

I picked up a 3 pack today at TRU. It was on sale for $12.99. The singles were still $4.99. I only saw the Autobot 3 pack, which included Prowl, Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime.

Same. Just picked up both sets in Tigard Oregon from TRU.

The packaging numbers each character starting with BP001 for Bumblebee and Acid Storm is "Super Bot 006". I wish they had used the same numbering scheme as the single packs.

I would like bot stats of each for comparison if I want.
So far it seems like each bot will have at least one stat that overpowers the other in a tie breaker.

Definitely want the Acid Storm 3-pack for the Acid Storm. The Prowl one is a maybe.

Wow, so, they shortpacked even the botshots here?! I just picked up my set of Decepticons, and it appears to be a 3:1 packing rate, Bots being the 3.

Is the Bumblebee from the 3-pack any different from the singe pack?

I picked up a battle pack and all the single packs (except for the super bot 001 - sentinal prime) and to answer your question BNY888 - the bumblebee's are different. Slight color change, tires different color and the hit points on the chest are different. Also the windshield is different. Kinda reminds me of Prime/RID bumblebee vs the NYCC prime bumblebee (orange vs yellow) I grabbed these guys at TRU in Sacramento.

**added** also Prowl is repainted to become Barricade, and of course Prime is painted black for Nemesis Prime, Starscream mold for Acid Storm

There's another Bumblebee variant, from wave 2, a translucent one.

Check the "prime at Target" thread, there's a list of all the DCPIs buried in there on like page 3 or 4 or something.

These are also $7.99 at Target, much better price than at TRU.

Walmart has the same price of $7.99 for the 3 pack.

So like Lego stuff, TRU is now marking things up like 90% ($8 to $15).

Is the DPCI for the individual bot shots the same for the 3 pack and the one with launchers? So far I've only spotted the Autobot 3 Pack at my local TRU.

Wow, the 3 packs are only $7.99 at Target and Walmart? I'm glad that I set put back the one that I saw at TRU the other day at $14.99. That's a mad-crazy mark up. Also, with the singles being $1 more than every where else, I think I'll be avoiding TRU when it comes to the BotShot figures.

There's some sort of larger giftset that also seems to have the same grey tires Bumblebee in it. so so far that's Bumblebee (wave 1) Bumblebee (autobot giftset) Bumblebee (chase) & bumblebee (battlemask) + another repack of the second sort.

I'd rather had a stealth one in the 3 pack personally.

I just picked up both of these three-packs at Walmart tonight. They were $8.96 (minus $3.00 for using the coupon- nice!). I was surprised to see it was about a dollar more than Target, but still not a rip-off like $14.99 at TRU! I'm telling you, TRU's prices are horrible, for almost everything I've looked at there! Like JamesBenjamin said a week or so ago, I don't know what anyone would ever buy LEGO (or Transformers, or Pokemon cards, or...) there unless they were on sale, or an exclusive. I guess I am lucky to have an insane amount of Targets and Walmarts nearby! /rant

The three-packs are really nice. There were three of the Autobots pack and only one of the Decepticons pack when I picked them up- I want another Decepticon pack!
