I can't remember if the figures are redecos or not.

If someone gets this before me i'd be interested to know the colour differences on the Optimus Prime (if any).

Sometimes the colour differences just don't show up in photos (like how 3 pack Bumblebee is actually more of a metal flake gold colour rather than yellow).

To Hollywood Hoist : I believe Bumblebee is a slightly different colour to normal Megatron is a unique scheme of Black and gold and Brawl is Green instead of sandy coloured. As I said though Not got a cue about Optimus yet.

The same set came out in the UK on Saturday too.

Well, this Optimus' eyes are blue, opposed to the other two that are out now, who have yellow eyes.

but..

i feel like they're just further diluting the brand. i wish they'd just nix these things and focus more on giving us better deluxe, voyager, and leader figures.

but hey, if some people like them.. who am i to say that they shouldn't be made. i just have no interest in them

Is the black and gold one a repaint of the green one (or vice versa)? I hate when they do a pack like this and one of the figures in it is a repaint of one of the other figures in it. I don't buy repaints. They couldn't have just stuck a Starscream in there instead of the repaint one to balance things out so it was Megatron and Starscream versus Optimus and Bumblebee? This pack could've been my first Bot Shots purchase just for the appeal of Optimus and Megatron and their trailer things in one go, but that added repaint (if it is) just puts me off. Petty? Probably. But petty has powerful influence when it comes to me opening my wallet or not.

I think its good for the brand. Their cheap and fun transforming toys. Kids can grab one of these even cheaper than a cyberverse legion!
But to many varients of the exact same figure and character may be more than Transformers completists are used to.

I see a lot of fans burning out on botshots unless they dig a little deeper for characters like the Kreons are rocking out with in the upcoming blind bags.

This set is kind of tricky to take in. File it under value pack. A few colorway reasons to pick this up but nothing really new to bite. I have nothing against deep desert colors brawl. Reminds me of some other 80's tank robots that went with desert colors.

I'm liking Bot Shots quite a bit, but this release has me pretty puzzled. This set should have been released BEFORE we all bought the single figures and the individual launchers. Why would I want to buy a set comprised of nothing but repaints? I understand the need for a
"starter set", but they should have STARTED with it. It worries me that Hasbro is going to go too heavy on the repaints and leave retailers stuck with stock that they can't move (well, like they always do).

You wouldnt. But a mom or dad might buy a set like this for their kid.

I wouldn't mind the green Brawl out of that, but not enough to buy that whole set (just got the 3-pack with the blue Brawl in it anyway)

Always love how people complain about anything but the main line.

If anything Botshots has the best distribution and are actually moving off the pegs.

I want the Blue/gold Brawn but don't want the set, Have3-4 desert versions already, something about that desert color scheme.

This pack is neat and cheap compared to them individually.

Hopefully we will get all the ones that were shown in the display cases and get more as well.

A small bot shot size matrix would be neat if it could clip pn the chest or had a little magnet.

Looks cool, but I don't need doubles of the three main guys just so that I can justify a green Brawl (and I already have two of the other Brawls).

Exactly. Bot-Shots are the only TFs around here that seem to sell (besides stuff like Deluxe Knock Out and other brand new non-Bumblebee characters, but that's only a few characters, not the entire line).

I think the point of this set is more of a gift set for Christmas time and an introduction to the game.

Bot Shots have amazing sell-through around here. They are a home run for Hasbro as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe they should drop all the other TF lines and just concentrate solely on producing Bot Shots.

Beginning to think Target is the only retailer carrying the latest Bot Shots...haven't seen them at WM or KMart here..ever.
Nice looking bunch and not a bad price either.

Looking forward to getting more Jets and completing my Wreckers set.
Though they look similar Brawl, ROTF Megatron and Shockwave are not repaints as such - but lots of Botshots share parts - it's just the way they are made ; most of the cars have the same upper body for example.


If buying a Tan or Green Brawl disturbs you as a duplicate character ; I would suggest doing what I plan to do which is think of Blue Brawl as Tankor instead (like the Legion toy version which is a powder blue Brawl). It's easy enough to consider the other Megatron's as the likes of Megaplex, too.

And there's also the option of customs such as take Multi-pack green Brawl and put a Megatron head on it - instant G2 Megatron.
It's a pity they decided to go for core characters so much for repaints when Jetfire has several potential repaints - but they just made a variant of him instead.

I'm not sure we needed 3 different Sentinel Primes - especially the underdecorated Opaque one that's inferior to the boxed set one - I'd have like one of those to be Pyro instead. I don't suppose there's any Hope of Botcon Botshots I never get a positive response when I suggest Legends or similar toys as Botcon premiums.

Anyway I love Botshots and I'm not that bothered really by the repaints - I was even a little disapointed by the lack of a Botshot Red Ironhide - when we are getting a new mould instead - it would have been nice to have a red Ironhide to complement Ratchet - and i'd not have minded a Movie coloured Ratchet Botshot either since he has a Movie chest design.

It's surprising how well Barricade worked as a Prowl toy, I have been wondering if they'd consider doing more Cybertronian mode toys and things like the Aerialbots or Stunticons as a boxed set. or even Animals.

How different is te Bumblebee redeco?

It's not that different that I can think of - I don't have the set in front of me, I'm not at home. But like the rest of the Bees, it does have different power settings. I want to say it looks most like the first wave Bee.
