Hasbro has updated their Transformers website with listings for Bot Shots 2013 Wave 3 single packs! Wave 3 appears to be adding one more toy into the mix, back up to five toys per wave after a couple of four toy waves. This wave features:
Spin Shot Megatron
Flip Shot Twinstrike
Blitz Shot Inferno
Blitz Shot Autobot Hound
Flip Shot Skywarp – this assortment’s chase “Super Bot” figure!
Of note is that the 2012 style Bot Shots are now being called “Blitz Shots”. Inferno is a Sentinel Prime redeco, and Hound is a redeco of Ironhide. Check out the official images of them all attached to this story.

Inferno being yellow. Actually this is a good idea. The only other yellow fire truck we have is Supressor but he's a Haz-Mat Fire Truck.
Dinobot Nuva
We will probably get Hot Spot/Hot Zone as a light blue repaint of the Sentinel/Inferno mold in the Protectobots 5-pack that was listed online.
Diamondback
If you really wanna get technical… ALL the Series 1 car-bots use the same basic body, individual differentiation being in the hood and roof/spoiler piece. Similarly, all three jet sculpts build around the same mechanical "platform", differentiating between them with the head/chest-plate, nose piece and the wing/tail-group "backpack."
As for Inferno, I seem to recall he was red in G1, and there was a blue redeco under another name. (Or am I thinking the similar-looking fire engine from the Protectobots?) Probably changed for those who couldn't tell an all-red Inferno from red-and-black Sentinel Prime… I don't make the news, I just observe, report, analyze and comment on it. LOL
Feralstorm
Was kinda hoping for more mold variation of that type in the Bot Shots line myself, especially given their standardized design, and many of the early Bot Shots appeared to share mold elements (many of the car-form 'Shots, and Optimus Prime/DOTM Truck Megatron, for examples)
Dinobot Nuva
Grapple is orange. Closest I can come up with would be is Feralstorm's Universe Prime, only other yellow fire trucks we've had were minicons in Universe and Universe 2.0, Firebot and Suppressor, and Suppressor was a 'con.
Diamondback
And that opens up another question: "Re-Faces". Example: Warpath and Brawl use te same vehicle sculpt, but Warpath has a new head/chest-plate. Do you count those as a total redeco or at least a partially-new sculpt? (TBH, most of what I look at is the alt-mode.)
I mean, if the original faces in G1/G2 looked similar, a straight redeco CAN be OK, but other than that I'm fine with refacings that had similar G1/G2 altmodes sharing most of the same sculpt. (Like the Seekers, or if we seek Bluestreak, Sunstreaker and the other Autobots based on that particular model of coupe. (Nissan/Datsun Fairlady?)
Maximal Dinobot
Skywarp has the most normal face in this year's stuff if we don't count Optimus from the launcher and Shockwave as they don't have mouths. Luckily he's the Super Bot so I only need to get one guy this time. Not liking the repaints or the Megatron. Is this Megatron actually based on something?
This too. I'm still picking up the Super Bots and ones I find cool but Bot Shots are leaving me behind. I'll take more Optimus figures as long as they're a completely different mold. He's Optimus after all but I'm getting tired of Brawl, his repaints, and repaints in general. The only repaint I'll accept at this point is ghost Starscream even if that would have nothing to do with paint.
Feralstorm
I assume it's some kind of vehicle built around his fusion cannon. (maybe an adaptation of the WFC tank-thing) I look at it though and think "If Terrorcon Blot had a vehicle form" – Nosemobile!
Paxtin
I suppose, if that were a tank. Sept there really isn't a turret on it. The front bit seems more like the grill of a car then a cannon.
It honestly looks, to me, like a concept car vaguely themed around Meg's G1 gun alt.
Prime Aspect
Isn't that the definition of a tank?
Paxtin
…Is Megatron a…Gun car?

Don't they mean Grapple, not Inferno for the yellow one??
Hasbro needs to come with some new molds/characters for that $1 price increase on these. $5 per figure is highway robbery. The only reason why I bought select figures from wave one and two of series two was because i found them on clearance and on sale for $3 each.
Another issue with this is that they need to stop making so many Bumblebees, Optimus's, or any other figure that has been done more than once or twice. There are plenty of TF characters to make and there really is no excuse for another Skywarp in this wave. The second and first waves were pretty lame too, only one new figure out of four in the first wave and two new ones in the second. I have a complete collection save two figures I refuse to buy.
I laid them out the other day and there are more duplicate characters than there are indivuals in the enite set. That is unacceptable and if this trend continues I will stop buying them. At least in this wave we have mostly new characters.

Man that animal car might have sucked me back in.
Feralstorm
Universe Optimus Prime homage!
So 'regular' Bot Shots are now "Blitz Shots", interesting.
Dinobot Nuva
Considering all the slight repaints in this line I'm surprised Blitz Inferno is yellow.

So, I was perusing Hasbro's site, and noticed something: five new BS singles, with a wave heavy on Blitz Shots (the clasic li'l guys). Does this mean they're showing pieces from two waves at once, or is Wave 3 a bit bigger than 1 and 2?

Am I the only one who has questions about what happened to Bots # B007 and B010? (I call these "2B###" to distinguish them from Series 1.) Is there a way to look up Item #A2587 (which would logically be B010) and see if it was Stormrazor as the Taiwan catalog implies or what?
