Next in their string of new product reveals, the official Transformers Facebook page has uploaded official images of the Bot Shots 2013 Three Packs Assortment, wave 2. This second wave is already out through Hasbro Toy Shop and was shown off at Toy Fair 2013, none the less, here are official images of the two sets, Sergeant Kup, Scourge and Blitzwing, and Optimus Prime, Cindersaur and Jazz. Those who collect Bot Shots may spot that Blitzwing is a reuse of the 2012 Decepticon Brawl in clear purple, Kup is a redeco of Spin Shot Ironhide, and Scourge is a redeco of his single packed release. In the other set, Optimus Prime is based on Transformers Cybertron Optimus Prime – a cool touch!

My complaints about Bot Shots…
They make new molds of characters already done. They should do more variety instead of multiple Optimus Primes, Megatrons, Bumblebees, Brawls and Shockwaves.
The repaints don't make much sense. Why not a Ricochet repaint of Jazz? Or Battle Gaia Sandstorm and RiD Armorhide repaints of Brawl? The toys being repainted are fine, but I'd prefer appropriate color schemes than random color schemes.

I know right? Though technically Armada was the first one I watched, Cybertron was by far my favorite.
Hollywood Hoist
I know you never said that you wanted Commanders gone. Yeah, the part count does seem to be different, though plastic quality overall has changed. Articulation I think is close. I think it may be that two different lines that are roughly the same size might be a little much for the average consummer. That and it doesn't look like a majority of Transformers are flying off the shelf, so having multiple items under the same price point might further clog shelves. That being said I wouldn't mind seeing Generations scouts of the minibots like the Windcharger.
Did we just have a conversation where we read and respected each others opinions? I think we might get kicked off the internet.

Yahoo, galaxy convoy
Prime Jetscream
Woah, why suddenly Unicron Trilogy?
I kinda want that Prime even though I don't collect Bot Shots… just because Cybertron was the first TF series I ever watched.
SG Roadbuster
while commanders and scouts may be of similar size, there is still a major difference in parts count, plastic quality, articulation, and overall quality of the toy in question. and what ye said about people wanting more variety in scale, that is exactly why I want scouts back. I never said I want Cyberverse commanders gone, just that I wants scouts back. I understand the need for the Cyberverse line, for the budget collector or someone with limited space.
Ye do have a point about consistency in a game piece…..
and ye do have a point about the shelf warming deluxe/voyagers *gives FOC wave 1 the stink eye*
Hollywood Hoist
Scouts and Cyberverse commanders are roughly the same size, commanders maybe slightly smaller, but then deluxes are a little smaller these days. They essentially went from focusing on characters smaller than deluxe to characters bigger than legion. For me having a variety in both scales works best. So many fans complain about the lack of scale and here the legion size class is at least trying to have variety, where as the other scale is deluxe, voyager and ultra/ultimate/leader.
I agree that Botshots have the same transformation and basic shape, but they have a completely different play pattern, it's a game, and to make the game work there needs to be consistency.
Also your point about more deluxes and voyagers would just mean, people would complain about shelf warmers quicker.
SG Roadbuster
your first point-variety is exactly what I want from the line, that's my problem with Botshots, there is no variety in the line, push a button, arm flap out, front flips over head and onto back, all of them do that.
your second point-yes, the deluxes and voyager and whatnot else are on shelves, but there could be more of them on shelves is my point
your third point-no Cyberverse commanders are not scouts in the slightest, commanders are oversized, overpriced legions. meant to invoke larger characters in a smaller scale. Scouts were meant to invoke smaller characters in a larger line. look at the differences between Prime Cyberverse Commander Bulkhead, and HFTD Scout Breacher.
Galaxy Convoy
Not a fan of Bot Shots in the least, but I might have to grab that Galaxy Convoy. Obviously
Hollywood Hoist
That's not a Botshots issue, but lazy stockers, or the store not getting shipments of deluxes and generations. They probably would rather have the pegs filled with something rather than be empty.
Hollywood Hoist
So you want less variety? I don't get it, it's not like there isn't voyagers, deluxes, legends sitting on shelves and pegs. Scouts are essentially Cyberverse commanders. Bot shots sell pretty well, enough to justify another year of them as well as a track. It's so frustrating to hear adults complain about a toy line designed for kids. Botshots are made for kids, if adults like it great, but you're not the demographic and it seems like you don't care what kids would want out of this toy line as long you're happy. The more comments like this the more I hope Hasbro ignores adult fans, because I don't think they have the best interest of Transformers as a whole in mind, all they want is toys that appeal to them that kids have no care for.
SG Roadbuster
the shelf space that is currently occupied by Botshots was once occupied by Deluxe and Scout class toys. the Big four pack with the two launchers, and The Dragon battle track thing occupy shelf space that could go to Voyagers.
I want scouts back.
I tried giving Botshots a fair shake, bought a whole mess of 'em, even made a drinking game based on the gameplay, but eventually they ceased to impress me because it's the same toy replicated infinity gajillion times. and one of the main reasons I collect transformers is because of the amazing amounts of engineering that go into making them. The sheer number of different ways a car, jet, or dinosaur can be converted into a robot, that's why I collect, to see what Hasbro (or the third party guys) have come up with this time.
In short, I don't like Botshots anymore because outside of surface details they're all the same damned toy
Ratchets Hatch
I don't own a single Bot Shot. But… that Cybertron Optimus Prime. Even I can't resist that little bit of nostalgia.
Starscream Gaga
That Optimus Prime is awesome! Too bad I stopped collecting Bot Shots after they introduced the Spin and Jump shots…
Backscatter
Always room for more BotShots. Oh well…
noblekale
Well, not sure if they're talking about it from this point or not, but at our local wal-mart, they shove all the bot-shots in ALL the slots, and don't bother putting any new ones out. Seriously, it's nothing to go in and find the beast hunters and generations sections filled with nothing but botshot figures.
Then again, maybe it's just our local wal-marts that have lazy stockers.
Feralstorm
Jeepers, I had the Op/Jazz/Cindersaur set from HTS for weeks. Didn't realize there was news to be had here.
DecepticonSpike
Kup looks like he's about ready to to the crane kick from The Karate Kid.
Nope
I'm done collecting this line but the Cybertron Optimus and Cindersaur both look really cool. If Cindersaur also had a single-pack release, I'd probably buy him.
jestermon
So how is the spot not devoted to the Bot Shots effected by the BotShots on the shelf?
I love these guys people are ridiculous.
They are pretty much he only line that is actually stocked at stores maybe you should switch over to Bot Shots so you can find what you want.
