SPLIT LIP:
I liked it. Not steller CG1 but cool, and David Kaye voicing Megs sounds ACE!

Is there no higher quality version?

So, Shortround is Scorponok, Ransack is Tarantulus and Skyblast is Terrorsaur... neat.

Terrorsaur/Aerosoar being a skyblast fits perfectly

Tarantulus/Tyrantus is a good fit with ransack... but i would have used the Armada sideways mold. either is better than what everyone was speculating his TF:timelines form was.

Scorpinok does not have much to do with shortround, besides his hands. i like his TF:timelines form better (something cunstructiony, like E scorponok)

Megs, Waspy and Dinobot/Dynamo are thier botcon TF:timelines forms

Cryotek is the Dragon megs mold. he taught megs everything he knows, and im betting megs kills Cryotek. (this is the same master/apprentice thing between Megs/Dinobot)

im betting the other is Buzzsaw, althought the original 'theft' movie has waspy as a helicopter, likewise, cybertron Buzzsaw.

ps.. dynamo should not be a construction alt...
Ravenxl7:
Pretty cool looking. I now want to get the Shortround repaint from the movie line when it comes out (Storm Surge) and kitbash it in Scorponok colors.
Vector Sigma:
Looks interesting. Don't have any sound right now, will listen latter. Not joining the club though.

And by the way, Trent, my god, haven't seen you round here in an age!...
SuperPrimalZ:
Uber cool, talking about the trailer, and definately not the price it costs to join the club. I wonder, could Hasbro release this, the Beast Wars Prequel, Scramble City, Zone and the Robot Master shorts(Obviously dubbed), in some like Transformers "Ani-Matrix" kind of release?

I'd buy it, of course, one person, is one person. But obviously, while the CGI ain't exactly the greatest my eyes have seen, it took money to create this short, and why not release it on DVD with other Transformers Shorts and specials? Well, I'd understand that some of the voice work for the stuff I listed could be expensive. However, I'd think it would be could be done, as we've seen voicework been done exclusively for video/net releases(The Movie Comic Prequel, The Classic Two Pack Disc, and this) before.
Lumpy:
when is this being released? did i just miss the date somewhere?

...

You live in the US... you can join the club for $40 and considering what you get that's not a bad deal.
Lumpy:
i love how many people bitch about the club...40 bucks...thats one leader class toy....and you then get an exclusive toy....a cool magazine...the opportunity to get exclusives even though you cant make it to botcon....plenty of other stuff....and its only gonna get better as years pass...i for one am very glad i joined, and do not mind the price at all....

EDIT: i am only referring to those complaining who are in the US....the overseas crowd seems to have a harder time with shipping rates, but i dont really know about that, so im not sure if its really all that necessary....but just wanted to clarify...

The release date is, as of now, "Soon". We're aiming for late December/January but we have to tighten a few things up with an extended scene and that means getting it back to Yith Pistol to rescore a sequence.

Thus far reaction has been good. I wish I could actually sign up at Seibertron to let them know that Cryotek isn't Megatron (if anyone has an account over there and can drop that knowlege on them, that would be great), but otherwise the response has been positive and I'm glad to see it.

Love me some Beast Wars, but that animation looks bad for 2007.

So if I join the club do I get a DVD of this, or is just an online viewing? I want to own this baby.
Lumpy:
hopefully they make it availabel to DL if your a club member...but i doubt they will cuz then people who arent in the club will be able to get it....maybe they could sell it as a DL on the club site....or as a dvd....
