 | | | | | | Cyberwolf1980:
I enjoyed it. Definately fills the gaps as to how the Pred crew suceeded, however, I would have liked to see their escape from Cybertron. Too bad Dinobot was so silent but then again, in the situation, actions speak louder than words.
airfox:
I loved it. A LOT.
My only complaint would be that some scenes needed voices, but I understand why they could get David Kaye to do Megs and at the same time couldn't get Scott McNeil (David Kaye has a quality sound studio in his house, I've read). I very much doubt that even fans able to do the BW Preds' voices have the needed recording equipment to match the quality of the clips.
Specially love how Dinobot owns the Max-Cops.
So Kudos to Trent and crew, and a BIG thank you to David Kaye and the Fan Club.
Now, get working on pre-BW toys of Cryotek, Tarantulas, Scorponok and Terrorsaur ... and more Max-Cops.

Ecmagee1984:
I like it, it was better then most Transformers show from the last few years.

Although I felt like some areas could definitely have used more dialogue, what are you gonna do? They GOT David Kaye, which is utterly amazing in and of itself. But I think it would have made the whole thing suffer if they started using "sound-alikes" (frankly, I think most fans aren't anywhere near as good at voice acting as they think they are, with a few notable exceptions). Given the limitations of voice resourcing available to an independent (or, largely so, given it was FP supported) project, I'm amazed at the results.
DecepticusPrime:
Pretty good, the max cop clones were a bit excessive but still a cool freebie...and lets all remember it was FREE for all to see.
Kickback:
I enjoyed it. Did get a little lost at a couple points, but I'm suspecting you guys chose to respect the source material in terms of the voices for characters and NOT have some bad impression of Dinobot, Waspinator, Terrorsaur, etc. And not using the voices obviously called for the viewer to kind of piece together each part.
Overall though, enjoyed it. Thanks Trent.
Omnius:
Not bad, not bad at all. My only wish would be for a bit more dialogue, but for the reasons Kickback outlined above, I can understand why some characters remained silent.
Full marks for effort, and an enjoyable BW short. Star Cracker:
It would've been cool had there been more dialog and been longer, but for what it is, I am greatful. Hell, we even had a an original Decepticon in there (Dirge), which I was not expecting.
Aaron:
I liked it, though one improvement IMO would to have some guttural sounds in the physical scenes. A grunt or groan in a fight could have gone a long way to filling up the dead air.
Lumpy:
that was really cool....and like people have already pointed out, story suffered from lack of dialogue, but i would rather have that then some crappy VA doing a copycat....but still, i dug it....i just wanna know if this will be released at some point other then just being on youtube....

watching it a 2nd time made it even better...got more of the story, and noticed a few other easter eggs....10-12 seconds into part 2, theres a planet x cyber key....
also, who was the cybertron buzzsaw guy supposed to be? just some throw away character, like backslash was? i'm tempted to get the green camo recolor of skyblast and make him backslash now...just a few repro labels, and he'd look good enough...and when he called scorponok clamp, was that supposed to be a nickname? or was scorponok's name on cybertron clamp?
MF MooN:
that was damn good!
Fosterlager: I thought Clamp was a redshirt ripoff of Clamps from Futurama! Thanks for sorting me out, Lumpy.
I should get the Pre-BW comic, read it and watch this again. I enjoyed this and I'm sure it will make more sense as a companion piece to the comic.
I didn't like Cryotek's voice much though. Seemed forced.
maximus_primal:
Very nice. I enjoyed that.

I'm a little surprised we didn't see Longrack at some point, since they modeled his body already and BWII Dirge made it in. The argument could go either way, but it might been cool to have HIM duel with Dinobot.

Optimus Scourge:
That was very cool. I gotta watch it again!
Teletran-1:
I realize an insane amount of work had to go into this but I'm really not feelin it. It was neat seeing Megatron again with the right voice but I agree with the guy that pointed out the editing is horrible. It seemed like there were dramatic pauses after every action or piece of dialogue. A lot of stuff seemed to be in slow motion for no reason and there's a lot of floaty animation. I also don't really think it adds anything to the story. We already knew the disk was stolen, and this shows that there were a couple scuffles involved but that's about all we learned.
Scrapper6:
I think this was an interesting addition to the BW universe, but there is one thing I find a little dissapointing, the lightning used really didn't give us any opportunity to admire the full body shots of the character models. Other then that, for what it is and the amount of work/effort that was obviously put into this I say it was 100% cool.
PunkyBrew:
Yikes. I'm trying to think of something positive to say here, but I cannot. Wait, the modeling was pretty good. There, that was positive, right?
I could go into details here about what they did wrong, from a CGI perspective, but lets just say; Keep on modeling, animating, and rendering, and you'll get the hang of it.
Nice effort, keep it up!
Maboroshi:
I think that it is a great idea and was fun to watch but is overall poorly executed. What I would expect from something fan-made. All of the speaking parts aside from Kaye sounded like they were just nerds in basements with $5 PC microphones. The animation really could have used more attention to detail with less long awkward moments and parts where the character models just seem to freeze because the animator gave them nothing to do in that moment. Could have been lit a lot better, too, even in a dark setting like that. Sound effects definitely could have been more varied. Music could have matched a lot more. I would have liked more speaking parts, even if they were lifted directly from episodes of Beast Wars.
I feel bad being so negative, though. I'm thankful for the hard work people put into this. The modeling is good and it must have taken forever to do all the animation. It was fun to watch. I just think it needed to be done with people who had a little more training. I still liked it, though. I guess i just critical because I'm an art major going into 3d animation PunkyBrew: Quote:

planetjacker:
Interesting. Kinda liked it. Like others have said it would have been nice to have other main character voices, but you do what you can.
I would very much like to see the ransack and skyblast molds in those decos.
Shotoman:
I dug it. Obviously, being a fan-project, I'm judging it on a different standard than I would a professionally done cartoon, and I echo sentiments about more voices etc. But I dug it.
Was that Jhiaxus in the hall of statues place?

The whole time I was watching it, I kept thinking to myself, I can do Dinobots voice. It rips my throat to shreds at the end of the day, but I can do his voice. LOL!

If only he had a home recording studio like Kaye does...), I'm glad they didn't go the route of "sound-alikes."

-airfox | Yesssss, that would be great. I would love to get my hands on an exclusive Cryoteck. I enjoyed the video. Watch it a few times with my boys.

Pretty cool. Great for what it was. When Megatron spoke I was like "Holy shit this guy sounds IDENTICAL to David Kaye!" Bendimus Prime:

They'd still have to get Hasbro's okay, but we're not talking about "just" a fan production here.

Mirage232:
I thought it was pretty good for what it is. This video makes me long for the days when we actually had higher standards for a Transformer television show.
