As promised Spacebridge has delivered a picture of the cancelled repaint of Beast Machines Jetstorm on his Facebook page. According to Spacebridge this was another 2007 cancelled figure that joins Toxitron repaint for reasons unknown. Click the link to discuss with fellow members here on the boards.
G1DeadEnd
Don't play with yours Sorry! Had to . . . I've recently opened my box of TFs, and My original Jetstorm still looks good. But I used to transform him all the time, he brought me back to collecting again.
I was one of the people who weren't in love with the beast wars toys, but once I've discovered the series . . . my opinion's changed, but I still didn't buy the toys.
Jetstorm was one of the few new Transformers at the time, who was a vehicle I remember the day I bought mine . . . do you?
Triggerhappy
some kinda G2 colourway? great mold tho, was my favourite for a good while
Feralstorm
Looks kinda like the "sonic attack jet" redeco applied to the bg Jetstorm mold.
Autovolt 127
Ugh. This deco is horrible…however it's fitting for a horrible toy for an awesome character like Jetstorm.
I'm glad this was cancelled assuming it was an actual repaint slated for release.
netkid
How would you folks feel if he was colored up like Generation One Mindwipe instead?
Edgewise
I really disliked that Ultra mold. But I loved the deluxe.
This looks like mostly just a lighter blue version of the original…. so kinda like what Sonic Attack Jet(Aerodrone) was to the original deluxe. Kinda/Slightly more show accurate to the drones.
A new version of Jetstorm would be great! Especially if they did just totally forgo trying to give him real "legs" but instead had a built-in fold out translucent poll/stand that still tucked away in jet mode.
A slightly upscaled version of the Cycle Drone basic with some added articulation(and built-in robot mode 'kickstands') would make a great new deluxe Thrust.
Dusty
My original finally got so ugly from the paint chipping off that I had to just throw it away. For many years it just looked "cracked" like dried earth, but one move to a new apartment and it shook it all off.
For that reason, I would buy a normal, NON-metallic version in a heartbeat. Great toy.
Shame, too, because it seems a lot of toys from that era have the same problems, yet other toys from other eras with metallic paint do not. I wonder what the issue was.
Dragonclaw
This is a prime example of a figure I REALLY wanted simply because I couldn't have it. If it had been released at retail I'd likely pass. I love the mold but it just doesn't POP like the original or the Botcon versions do.
NotRamjet97
Looks like a Gundam.
Scaleface
So I take it this would have been one of the Universe Vehicons recolored and released as Decepticons? Like Tankor/Obsidian, Nemesis Strika and Blastcharge?
Why do I have the feeling out there somewhere was a crapped Universe Decepticon motorcycle Thrust in weird colors too?
Blitz.
Its giving me a G1 SilverBolt vibe I kinda like it but I think the better of the paint jobs got used.
Thundershot
Jetstorm totally needs a modern toy. In fact, he's a character that's awesome enough that IDW should add him to their G1 stories.
I loved BW Silverbolt.
I loved BM Jetstorm.
I hated the character BM Silverbolt became… and looked like.
RedAlert Rescue
The normal one might look a lot like that if you take the chrome off it.
Flexx Ark
I was just researching Jet Storm by looking at some old Beast Machine episodes. Looks pretty good.
feckineejit
I really liked this Jetstorm mold back in the day. This looks mistransformed and the color choice is very poor. Could have been sweet.
Skyclaw
That looks like poo my friend, glad it was cancelled
Grimwing
Clear Gloss coat. Just like you do to preserve other complex paint jobs.
Mines Still in really good shape. Even the light up feature still works on the same button cells he shipped with over a decade ago.
I kind of like this recolor. Sort of Dreadwing Like but with a calmer powder blue.
EmperorDinobot
That's a repaint? looks like a proto of the original. I have the original and his shiny is peeling off. Anyone know of a method to keep vac metallized colors on its place?
I AM UNICRON
i can see why it was a never released repaint
LegendAntihero
Pretty good. The light blue paint is what I don't like
