Walmart Exclusive Animated Two-Packs Out in the United States

I'm not sure if this has been reported before but, in Maryland I saw two different Wal-mart exclusive deluxe 2-packs.

One had battle damaged prime (from the battle begins 2-pack) and deluxe blackarachnia w/ a new profile on the back.

The other was battle damaged Megatron (from the battle begins 2-pack) with deluxe prowl. This one also had a different profile on the back as well and described the scene from the 1st episode of TF animated where the Decepticons attacked the Autobots ship and Megatron broke into the hull and boarded their ship.

Sorry, I didn't have decent camera to take pics and I don't have the $$$ to buy them right now.

The price was $14.96 ea.

We've seen pics of them, but as far as I know they haven't been reported to be out yet.

so are they just for the TFA line???

I just wish they made the prime & megs
in these packs without the battle damage.

yeah they were just for the Animated line and there was only the two as far as I could tell. They were carded and had their own special display box on the shelf. They looked like they belong on one of those islands in the middle of the toy section.

This is a great (and cheaper) way for us to get the axe from the battle damaged Prime and give them to the Voyager Prime.

I had never even seen pics of them before.....you could imagine how excited I was to see them!! Does someone have a link to the pics?

I think the Optimus Prime in this pack is the one best looking version, but the Battle Damage just really make me look away, much like other people. Make this mold without it, Hasbro!!!

These have only just come out in the US? Odd, I saw them at a stall in a UK expo about a month ago.

Yup, that's them. They're really nice looking packs when you see them in person.

So the Prime's still got the battle damage, huh.

It's nice that they reflect the Deluxe sale price. I would so be jumping on these, but I got the figs single already.

It's actually CHEAPER that the deluxe sale price. At $7.77 ea. two deluxes would cost you $15.54. The price of the two packs is $14.96 ea.

Also, the Battle Begins two pack is still $19.96 so technically each figure is $10 ea.

Either way, it's a better than good deal.

Hello All!

Putting out the Black Friday items and having 'door buster' sales early is seemingly the trend for retailers this year. With retail sales down, the early start may be advantageous to bring in customers in this worrisome economy and get them to spend money before the 'official' shopping season starts. Regardless, this means that any of us that want these items can pick them up now rather than wade into the ocean of people that are bound to be out on Black Friday.

As to the 2 packs themselves- I can't wait to get them. I like the 2 pack angle with a backstory, so this is right up my alley.

I'll add to the sightings here in NC. I almost didn't see these, but ended up looking on the top shelf after searching endcaps. These rang up fine when I took them to the register.

I had a Universe Legends of Animated Bumblebee along with these two packs. Oddly, it rang up "DO NOT SELL" where I had the Animated Prowl and Optimus Prime and both of them rang up fine.
