No Blurr robot mode =

Oh hooray Fanzone still hates machines.
General Magnus:
Nice episode. Not outstanding but cool. I loved Blurr alt mode. Was he in control of MD or he is just a dick when it comes to racing?
Darkspeed:
Enjoyed watching it - Nice return for Bumblebee's boosters, and more of Blitzwing - but I hope they build more on the "Mysetrious Blue Car" in coming episodes... You know, kinda have him as the Racer X-esque that helps out the Autobots for reasons unknown to anyone but him... That'd be quite cool.
Torque:
master disaster used that remote control to either control Blurr completely or did what Meltdown did to the Dinobots-hurt him to the point of doing what he said. also, did anyone else notice its the same kind of controler that is used onmost RC cars? like Bumblebee and Baricade from the movie toyline-couldnt help but notice that (making me think he more or less controlled Blurr, which may have stopped him from transforming and speaking)
Storm:
I think he's undercover, I'm pretty sure he's going to keep reappearing and mysteriously keep helping the autobots until the finale.

Not according to the character lists that were shown last week.

Unless he keeps quite. remember, those character lists didn't list him for this ep, yet obviously.

Those lists only include characters with speaking roles. If Blurrr lays low like he did this ep than it's entirely possible he could show up some more.
AniProwl:
Even according to the spoilers for the next episodes (Rise of Consructicons,Fistful of Energon,SUV, Autoboot Camp), magmatron didn't even state that Blurr had a big role.Of course, people who saw Black Friday at BotCon stated that it was primarly an Optimus and Grimlock episode. He might come to Sari's rescue in " Sari,No One's Home", but who knows. That episode has "Home Alone" all over it.

Yes, Black Friday was all about Optimus and Grimlock. It was quite an awesome episode, too.

I'd be surprised if Blurr didn't have at least one more cameo before the big reveal, most likely though he might just be watching in the background. I think he was only attacking Blitzwing on this one occasion because he felt he owed Bumblebee one. I get the impression by the way that he helped, that he has strict orders to remain incognito.

That said, Sari, No One's home would be a great place to show him in robot mode. Have Sari at the end of her rope, then Blurr shows and saves the day, but Sari hit her head and passes out, so all you see is a shakey, slightly blurred camera shot of Blurr's robot mode, enough to hint at his pressence, without actually showing him completely.
Neko_Gal28:
Great episode. Character growth, a new human badguy (and a pretty good one at that!), action and of course: Blitzwing!

I'm actually glad that blurr wasn't officially introduced (we know because we're all suckers for sneak previews and spoilers ) . if he officially introduced himself to the autobots and then dissapeared at the end of the ep, it would be the same as the other intros we've seen, which some people we're complaining about.

This time we have the air of suspense added!

And just because i love quoting:

Sari: "What, don't you trust me?!"

BB: "Ya, like I trust myself..."

That's possible. I don't remember 'magmatron' mentioning him in any of his sneaks but his picture was poor so the chances of seeing blurr were fleeting.

I did notice blurr's hood. The grey pattern did have the same shape as the elite guard symbol.

No sign of a sneak from 'magmatron' this weekend. Hope we get something from the finale (os?).

This episode was kinda lame, a real let down after watching the last few. A total filler episode in my opinion. You know what they say about opinions though
shroobmaster:
To be fair the only Season 2 episodes that weren't filler so far was= Mission Accomplished and Elite Guard.

This type of Story telling, loosely connected episodes with an over-arching story, tends to have a good number of what some would consider "filler".

I could tell season two was especially going to be an example of this once they got into "We must find the pieces of the All Spark!" mode.

Most american series have

*Season opener
*10 episodes of filler
*2-part season ender

So of course it was filler. But unlike Japanese Animation, is this a bad thing? Japanese filler is stretching out a single episode to obnoxioulsy long storytelling, or Flashback episodes.
Silent_Magnus:
I like both types of storytelling.

Although I'm very indiscriminating person.
robvega214:
i enjoyed this episode......
BB and sari ice skatin transformnin scene reminded me of Hot Rod n daniel haulin ass to Look Out Mt.
primeone:
I'm hoping that later on megatron turns master disasters truck and the four cars into the stunticons in a later episode that would be a great way to introduce combiners into animated in my opinion

It got totaled when Blitzwing landed on it, but should it return I second that ^_^

I enjoyed the episode, but a little more explanation of the Blurr-or-not-Blurr car would have been nice.

No combiners will be in the show. Sorry!

o jeez, there it is again! where did they EVER state there would be no combiners?!

Wasn't it stated a little while ago and briefly reiterated at Botcon 08? (I'm pretty sure it was Botcon, though I'm not totally sure)

I remember because I think someone asked about Devastator and they said "No, no combiners at all" or something to that effect.
Torque:
fairly certain they said dont expect combiners in the past to still be combiners, and that guys who wernt combiners before may be combiners now, my guess is they are talking about Jetstorm and Jetfire, but who knows? all i do know is that im tired of people saying its been confirmed for no combiners-and if there wont be, id like a link please. my info came from one of those Botcon news things from the front page, i believe.

cant wait to see blurr transform! and hear him talk! itll RULE
shroobmaster:
Transform... maybe.

Talk? I'm not really sure!

And yes they said something in the lines of "when we make combiners, it's going to be NEW combiners not HEY THIS IS G1-TICON, HE WAS IN G1 AND COMBINED THEREFORE HE COMBINES AGAIN TO MAKE G1 FANS HAPPY"
Silent_Magnus:
When it came to Animated they pretty much said "Don't expect guys who used to be combiners to still be combiners"

I guess that means don't expect the constructicons or Swindle to combine.

it's near the bottom of this report

But wouldn't that be apt, considering Hothead!Blitzwing looks and sounds just like everybody's favorite Austrian musclehead?

The Blitzwing versus Bumblebee sequence was nothing short of epic.

It looked like the Galactor emblems to me, actually. Mixed with a bit of the Maximal symbol.

Loved this one...much better than the last two IMO...we get a little tease as Blurr has yet to transform...Blitzwing chasing BB in the ravine was awesome...especially when he fired all his missiles at the end...and I like how they are really pushing Captain Fanzone into the storyline (they gotta give us a Sari/Fanzone toy two-pack)...

I'm also glad that they made Fanzone Dynamic enough that he has grown to like the Autobots, instead of being that comedic character that never changes his mind despite the good the Autobots do. I like the relationship he has with them. It's like, he knows he has to deal with them, and that they sometimes break the rules (Thus he does scold them from time to time), but he knows the overall good they do.

Fan Speculation - may be spoiler

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-...achmentid=6859

In looking at that picture of Blurr - you might would speculate that he is a member of the elite gaurd due to the "wings" on his autobot insignia. Even further why we didn't see him in robot mode on this episode could have to do with the all spark fused remote control used to operate him. Since that same remote was able to manipulate Blitzwing, Bumblebee and Bulkhead it's likely that master disaster (or whatever his name was) used that remote to hijack/manipulate Blur keeping him from changing to robot mode.
Torque:
thats what i said! the controller made it so he couldnt transform or talk
NeoGutsman:
I liked this episode. Many say it's "filler", and while that's slightly true, I didn't mind a more action-oriented episode one bit. I mean, who doesn't love to see Blitzwing go wild and blast ice missiles and fire everywhere?

I also liked how they highlighted Bumblebee's agility and speed. It was great to see him be able to control his boosters much better, too. Also, I loved when he transformed and skated on the ice with Sari on his back, then transformed around her back into a car. Too cool!

Also, I like how they had a bit of a moral to not stealing; it wasn't heavy-handed, and it was nicely capped with Bumblebee wanting to be a good example to Sari. It really showed a growth in their relationship, as well as how he and Bulkhead have really taken to truly caring for Sari. For me, this was important since we already know that she never really related well to other kids, and though she loves her father, she doesn't have an "older sibling" type relationship with anyone else but the 'bots.

Also, BLUR! Very cool - I'm hoping we see him transform at some point, but given the great writing of the series so far and the absolutely fun character twists, I wouldn't mind if his personality and overall function were different than in G1. I only wish Bumblebee was still the fastest Autobot around, but my guess is that he's got the kind of wild fearlessness and agility that Blur (may) lack.

My only question now is: when will Hasbro come to their senses and give us human toy figures?!?! My daughter hopes for a Sari toy, and I'd personally love a little Professor Sumdac in an energy cage toy, heh. Perhaps in the future we'll see some toys that take the humans into account - I'd love for a Bumblebee toy with a little Sari inside that he could transform around and have her sit on his shoulder, heh.
Nachtsider:
In my opinion, any episode where Blitzwing gets as much screentime as this cannot be considered filler.
vektsilver:
did this episode have anyone else thinking stunticons.

I thought so when I saw the blu and white on a car and one reminded me of dead end. Then when I saw the big rig I was thinking motormaster. Stunticons as the first combiner would be awesome.

Then again this is probably more of wishful thinking though

yeah, that was my first thought when i was watching the episode as well.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. For most of the episode, I was expecting the cars to turn out to be the Stunticons; particularly, though, the leader's (can't remember his name) truck turn out to be Motormaster. But I only have a vague memory of G1 season 2 so I wasn't entirely sure.
At the very least, I'm thinking they had to be an homage.
Easterling Capt:
not a bad ep but BB thinks to much of himself. if it wasent for the controler he would have gotten busted by BW.

heck even in G1 they could radio for backup
Torque:
not while Bumblebee is NOT supposed to be out on a mission-though going back to fight Blitzwing wasnt the best idea...

watched this last night and enjoyed it thoroughly.

the more i watch of the series, the more i enjoy it in a takes-me-back-to-being-a-kid kinda way
sixshot2K:
I thoguh we would see Blurr transform in this epside when he didnt I saw pissed
Grimwing:
best action part of the episode is when blitzwing freezes the ground in the water drainage underpass (like in any late 70s police series) and bumblebee transforms to skid on it blasting away. With sari stowed on bees shoulder. Then bee converts to car mode when they get back to unfrozen road.

best comedy part capt. fanzone: "..I know a lot of short cuts" then walks into the closed door. ow.
Cesium Salami:
Filler Episode. So we got to see Blurr drive fast... whoopee!

When will we see why he's there? Did Magnus leave him on earth to follow the Autobots, or did an Allspark fragment create him?

He is revealed entirely in the season finale two-parter, all will be explained (hopefully) to your satisfaction then.
Cesium Salami:
Just watched the part where Sari says "I'm picking up an Allspark fragment, but not from him. Over there!"

So, the controller has the fragment, but not Blurr.
Soundwave84:
it was a pretty goog episode not to great but good i really want to hear blurr talk!
Brandon:
Pretty cool episode. I actually liked Blurr not transforming. It adds a bit of mystery and suspense. I wouldn't be surprised to see him pop in now and again in car mode. I wonder what his mission is and how long he has been on Earth. I look forward to that reveal. Always fun to see Blitzwing in action. I really liked Fanzone's line, asking why the interior is so clean to which Sari responds that it's because it's not on fire. Now that I think of it, I think I remember them using that joke once before.
