UK Transformers Animated News - Voyagers Lugnut, Grimlock and Blitzwing Released! IMG_0126
Some good news for my fellow UK based fans tonight - The Transformers Animated wave 3 and 4 Voyagers (consisting of Lugnut, Grimlock and Blitzwing) have now been released at UK retail! Right now they are showing up at Forbidden Planet stores, but they should begin hitting the mainstream stores as well shortly.

Happy hunting everyone!

Blitzwing:
Surely they must be imports?
We haven't even had wave 2 yet have we?
Chris McFeely:
Well, Wave 2 (Prime) has been SEEN, but he really doesn't seem to have reached saturation yet.
Fort Max:
Why are the best toys only showing up in bloody fobidden planet.

More importantly, the Forbidden Planet branch that we don't get in Wales!
Autovolt 127:
Canada doesn't even have Blitzwing. T_T
Dinotron:
so what you are saying that there arn't released yet! forbidden planet import alot of there figures so how can they be realeased here? as in a previous post, we've hardly seen any wave 2, let alone 3 or 4!

soon maybe, but i hardly call this a realease!

Not imports. The pics provided by Boardwise and Sinestro show the multilingual packaging only used in Europe.

maybe so, but its forbidden planet?..... they always get stuff before they are officially realeased. so again....
Draven:
As far as I am concerned, it's a proper release when it's available outside stores like FP. Still, it does bode well for a proper release soon.

exactly!
Boardwise:
Geezz...
First people complain that we don't get some figures from the series.
Then you give them proof that this series has all the figures coming out here.
Then they moan about where the item was purchased.

Some people are never happy.
Next time I don't think I'll bother reporting getting Animated in Euro packaging.

Yet. Most likely he'll show up within the next few weeks if not week. Remember, he was sighted at US retail not long ago. (relatively speaking)
Dirge121:
Awesome, I've been waiting for these. I'll have to keep an eye out.

dont get me wrong, i think its great that we know that they are coming, i was just trying to make the point that its not officially released.
Sledgehammer:
And besides, FP usually charge an arm and a leg, but it's great to know that these are out at least - thanks, Boardwise.

I aggree, Forbidden Planet aren't exactly a high street store. I might go have a look tonight after work but I quite often say that and then can't be bothered.
Hope they show up in John Lewis soon, that is but a short drive away.
Roanstalker:
I wonder if Ace Comics will have them in today. I think they used to be called Forbidden Planet ages ago.

Forbidden Planet used to deal mainly in imported Transformers. Recently however, they've been getting mostly official UK stock, certainly where the Movie and Animated stuff is concerned.

I'd consider this to be an official release, especially as it's all in European packaging.

granted, euro packing, but until they start showing up in places like TRU and argos i would say its a mass release. you try finding a wave 2 animated figure at high street stores, i cant find them so finding a wave 3 or 4 in a high street chain, no chance. but as i said i think its great that they will be comming here and kudos for finding them.

Try John Lewis if there's one near you, they've had Ratchet and BA for weeks.

damn it, i was in town earliers, went to tru and the marlands/mall, whatever it is, i couldnt be assed to walk to FP
Fort Max:
This just in, Scourge 151 has texted me to say he found Voyager Optimus at a Tesco's in Wales somewhere. He hasn't clarified what size class of Tesco's it was though, i.e. whether it was a tiddily local Tesco's or a fricking huge megastore Tesco's.

Either way, it doesn't get much more mass retail then one of the top supermarket chains.
Gingerchris:
Cool - I have both a normal Tescos and an Extra one here. I shall have to take a look while I'm out tomorrow. Ta fer the nod.
Locustreign:
I just want Luggers hehe
Scourge_151:

Evidence!
It was a Tesco Extra, the one in Talbot Green for those who wish to know.
No other wave 2 stuff there that I could see, they did have a full complement of Leader classes, the 2 pack and wave 1 voyagers. Only deluxes were movie ones, but there's still time for them to get some in.
Fort Max:
Good to see you finally got one mate.
Lothar Hex:
Gonna have to go hunting for a Prime on my day off on Thursday,
Gingerchris:
All my Tescos stores had were the same old tired movie shelfwarmers they've had since last year. I really can't see them wanting to put anything new out until they clear the glut.
Takara_destron:
Excellent! They shall all be mine once I'm back in the country

Awesome, but I was hoping to wait until the hardcopy contest starts on 24th August. I guess I could buy Blitzwing now, before he disappears.

Edit: Free postage is for orders over £25 according to the pale blue box on the left of the page.
