Transformers Collectors Club Store Cancels Preorders for Animated Arcee

I looks like those people interested in Animated Arcee may be let down. The Club store of the Transformers Collector's Club has cancelled orders for Arcee. Word is the rest of the unreleased Animated toys are also on the chopping block. That means no Rodimus Prime, Blackout, Ratbat, ect.

Hopefully, collectors will get some answers as to Arcee's fate at Botcon.

EDIT: For those of us who pre-ordered Arcee, an email was sent out saying the pre-order was cancelled since Hasbro cancelled Arcee for the time being. The figure has also been removed from the Club store here: http://www.transformersclub.com/shop/

Interesting....in a bad...very bad way. I just hope that at the very least the unique molds we've heard about get released eventually. Even if we would then have to wait for them to be released in Universe next year. One more week and we should, hopefully, find out what the fark is going on with Animated's toy line.

Disappointing.

To think, I was hoping we would get the last Animated toys before RoTF officially hits shelves. Thanks to this, I'm worried Rodimus, Arcee, and Blackout might not even make it.

I'm elated at getting Classics Elita-1 one day and the next my heart is ripped out over this. Its like they cant allow two pink fembots to exist at the same time. The universe might explode or something.

Sneak them into Movie packaging! What do we care, when it still means getting the toys!

For all that went into them, make your money back on these Hasbro. Even if it means making them store exclusives. Especially since they would be entirely new toys that no other retailer could sell. Jealously among retailers ensues.

Hasbro should take the Animated figures that are threw the process and release them on HTS as exclusives. Try and make back some of that R & D money.

Do we know if a tool was ever created for these figures? I realize a prototype was made for Arcee but did a tool ever get made? If not, Hasbro wouldn't really need to make its money back since created tools is one of the most expensive parts of the process.

There'd better be a logical reason behind this. Hopefully, they're just putting the orders on hold to make room for the movie. In a way, this cancellation means I won't be spending quite as much money as I was afraid I'd be doing.

One would imagine a tool was made since Hasbro had plans at the beginning of the year to have her wave out before ROTF. The release just didn't happen in time for whatever reason.

I'm disappointed about Arcee. But I am DEVASTATED that we may not get Blackout!!!!! This is crap Hasblow. The movie toys suck.

I guess its not too surprising. From what we knew they should've been shipping relatively soon. But no one has seen anything more than the one picture of her and her alt mode. No stolen toy pics or anything.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Personally, I'm not a fan of the movie toys. I wont be buy more than two total. And I love the Animated figures. So I am a sad panda.

So a few months ago BBTS, TFCC, etc cancel pre-orders for Arcee, ES Soundwave, etc. Then TFCC posts new pre-orders, the reason being that the figures would supposidly be available later this year. Now TFCC is canceling pre-orders again. I'm not surprised.

I like Animated and the movie aesthetic.

But when someone slathers their misery of Animated's demise onto the Movies hype/success, like butter on to a bun, that is when I can fight back. I call it unfair, really.

I am more interested in finishing my Animated collection then buying any RoTF toys. I don't even plan on seeing the movie. There's no alternative for Transformers and GI Joe fans, either movie or nothing.

Well, slot me into your blacklist because I have the same opinion as RidgeRanger. I hate the movie toys. What I hate even more is that everything else (like Animated) is getting sacrificed to promote the movie toys. So while I would just normally ignore a toyline I don't like, I feel compelled to actively voice my frustration on the matter. Hasbro has had more than one line out at a time before, they could do it again. There is room for more than just ROTF toys.

I went to the Club Store and Blackout is still listed for the time being; but, both Arcee and the Soundwave repaint with Ratbat are sure enough gone. I remembered seeing them there just a week or two ago.

It's weird. We had preorders for Arcee, Soundwave, etc, but no produced figures.
We had no preorders for Cybertron Ratchet, yet we have proof they actually made the figure.

Who the hell is running this mess? And who can we get to replace them, because...damn.

Yes, heaven forbid you can't spend money on toys for a few months.

Look at the bright side, though. At least now you get to save up for whatever Hasbro releases next.

I also fear that the RoTF toyline may be the only toyline for probably the rest of the year if it does well economically.

Not a lot of variety, Hasbro unless you have some Universe toys in RoTF packaging.

Well, that sucks royally. Well, if the toolings were done than we'll see them at some point. I have a hard time believing that they would just up and not release these last few figures seeing as they spent money on them. Hopefully they can be out as a store exclusive or something.

And, I totally agree with you guys. I don't go around shouting it all the time, but it is frustrating as a fan of the brand that Hasbro is putting all it's eggs in one basket. Bad move financially... even in this economy. If the movie isn't the big success that it was the last time or, say, the toys aren't bought up by the huge hype this time... Hasbro could be in some crap.

And, still, even if RotF line is a huge success... I still see no reason why they should cancel Animated altogether when they originally planned for the two lines to run side-by-side. At least release figures to correspond with the final season. I mean, I knew Universe was going to get canceled for the movie line and, hopefully, it'll come back later, but Animated getting the axe so completely now just sickens me. Especially since I have very little from RotF that really catches my attention.

Oh well. More money to spend on all the third party products... not that Hasbro gives a rats ass about us collectors though.
