Still not liking the style of the show...

Yup - that thread was about the plotline, and once the pic was posted, discussion changed direction pretty significantly.

Is that the same Prime as the TF: Cybertron one?

I replied to your last post in the other thread with maybe it's just one of the new characters they mention in the synopsis. The military vehicle might be Hound too, I don't know.

Personally? I can't wait. These movie toys are great, but it'll be nice to delve into some good ol' fashion block-formers after all this realistic goodness. I guess, but the title was pretty wide open... Hound huh? I never really thought about him... you may be onto something though, he does look more Hound-ish than Ironhide. Ok, so from what we can tell, we've got:

-Optimus Prime
-Bumblebee
-Hound
-Prowl
-Ratchet

Not a bad lineup by any means, pretty good actually.

bumblebee looks pretty damn cool. don't care much for the other four designs though.

but I really cant wait to see the toys. I bet they're gonna be cool as hell.

The military vehicle is "Bulkhead".

Still looks like Teen Titans.

After an initial negative reaction, I'm going to wait and see. No way to tell yet if I'll enjoy it, and while I don't care for the designs, I'm willing to wait and see how they're implemented.

You know what? I like this.

It's definitely different and I don't know how well they will translate into figures that I like, but if the writing for the show is good then I will by all means be a fan of this show.

Actually, from what we've seen so far, I'm liking it, and I'll reserve my final judment for actually seeing the show. I can't wait to see at least some prototypes of the toys. Hopefully they will be at Botcon, so that I can see peoples pictures of them.

Altought Bumblebee and Prime are the awesome.

May I add once more I hate that it's called TF: Animated, as if Transformers are just now becoming a cartoon property or something. I feared TFs would bend to the influence of the movie the same way X-Men did in the comics, and it looks to me like that is happening.

I'm guessing it's Bulkhead too since the press release listed Optimus, BB, Ratchet(all of who are pretty obvious), Prowl & Bulkhead. The bike seems more like Prowl as does Bulkhead for the Military vehicle.

I'm intruiged and see the potential.

Ratchet looks like he's been packing away the energon burgers, and Bulkhead has tank treads on his feet despite his alt mode having wheels. I like the looks of Bumblebee and Prowl though, can't wait to see the toys.

I actually like the Teen Titans-esque vibe I'm getting from these designs. It'll be interesting to see how this translates into toys, though.

So are they fighting evil super beings or Decepticons? The Sci FI article said superbeings, but that article from Businesswire states Decepticons

Wow -this is a much better picture than the first promo shot they showed of Prime. While I don't like the style all that much -this picture does show some production values (of which the prior picture showed none) and I am more willing to give the show a chance.

I'm actually really liking the designs the more I look at them(Bumblebee especially) & am looking forward to the show & the toys. I don't see any movie influence tho. It actually seems very stylized & pretty unique(which I like).

Ugh, I was trying to reserve my judgement about this until I watch it or see the toys, but it just keeps getting worse and worse. At least, I'll save money on the toys only having to buy Prime.

Yeah.. Ratchet looks a lot like his movie counterpart. The rest are ok looking. Still not fond of the style. I might watch an episode or two, but I can't find myself watching the entire series or liking this at all for long..

Interested in how the toys turn out.. Prime looks like Galaxy Convoy.

I wasn't crazy about the partial pic of OP before -- too "bendy", I guess -- but this pic looks GREAT! Lots of personality in the depictions. Yes, it's Teen Titans-ish, but I don't see that as a bad thing.

And OP is VERY Star Convoy, so it can't be all bad.

I'm sure the animation quality and action will be great. We just have to get used to the designs. After the movie though, we should all have learned a lesson on opening up to more unique looks for these characters eh

Yeah, they do have a lot more personality with these incarnations. I can just see more expression coming from them, and they do look more like a super hero team and I think that's what they're going for. Color me VERY excited.

Well...its different!

Out of the lot of them, I'm feeling Bulkhead the least. Just looks like a giant balloon designed to take up space in the picture. I'm getting a serious Phil Lamarr vibe from Prowl, and he has Kamina glasses too.

I find myself liking the looks of this. Of course I'd like to see how they move and transform, but I think it'll be good.

Prowl kind of has that Ninja feel to him, looking at him in robot mode. Maybe it is due to the throwing star in his hand, or the fact he is actually wearing sunglasses?
