Over at Toon Zone, there is a report on Cartoon Network’s 2009 upfront presentation, detailing new and returning shows on the network for the rest of the year. Unfortunately there is no mention of Transformers Animated among the list of returning shows, which adds further fuel to the fire that the currently airing Season 3 is the last season of Transformers Animated.

Crap. I really like this show. Best TF t.v. show since BW.

I'm not sure if it's a matter of TFA not doing well vs. not doing well compared to the new bar set by the movie toy line.
Wow…. so much WRONG in that paragraph, I don't know where to begin.
For starters, the decision to extend the movie line and delay the release of TFA toys wasn't entirely Hasbro's; it was most likely caused by retailer's pressure. So go blame your Targets and Walmarts for that, not Hasbro.
And of course Hasbro wants to bring ROTF bad, but not for orgasms, but for the money they're counting on that line to make, if it manages to replicate the success of the first movie line. Like I said above, we don't know how well (or bad) the Animated toyline is doing, but I think we can pretty much correctly guess that it's not making as much as the first movie line did. From a business perspective, it makes perfect sense what Hasbro's doing.
Remember: Hasbro doesn't survive on ego or on praise.

………..CN has officially started becoming lame and cheap………….

Man, I hate the Bayverse more than ever. I hope Animated goes on a long hiatus and season four is greenlit in maybe 2010.

Didn't we hear that Eisenberg only had a CN office because of TFA, and that he had to vacate it now that TFA wasn't in active production? If so, it seems not so ridiculous that TFA could be done without CN. The only issue then would be rights, which I'm confident Hasbro could deal with if they really wanted to.
The people are FAR more important than the studio. And if the people aren't tied to CN (At least Eisenberg seems not to be), there may well be others. Hasbro only needs to make sure that a sufficient number of them are available. I really don't see the impossibility here.

This is some of the most disappointing news I've seen on here. Animated is my most favorite show on TV. Unfortunately, due to Cartoon Network being so god damn evil, I can't wake up early and see them (I stay up late so I gotta get my sleep). Luckily, YouTube users put the episodes up after they've aired so for those of you wanting to see the new eps., go on YouTube about an hour or more after they've premiered.
Like someone else said, hopefully the series ISN'T canceled and that it's just on hiatus. I DON'T want CN to cancel YET another great cartoon, only to replace it with YET another crappy cartoon. God I hate Cartoon Network. I like Animated as much as the movie, if not more, and it's the only thing I get to look forward to on the weekends. Oh, and it's getting REALLY good now as well.
Sorry for the many uses of caps, I'm just trying to emphasize how pissed off I am at the supposed "cancellation".

Cartoon Network *MADE* Transformers Animated. They are using studios that CARTOON NETWORK uses, the designs are by CARTOON NETWORK EMPLOYEES, the writing was by a guy HIRED BY CARTOON NETWORK, and executively produced by a CARTOON NETWORK PRODUCER.
You can't ship it off to Nick Toons. Sure, the show could GO IN SYNDICATION on Nick Toons, but you would not get any new episodes.
The ONLY way that Transformers Animated would continue to air new episodes is if Hasbro & Cartoon Network decide to go forward. One cannot decide to go on without the other. Your favorite sports team can't go play games when the season is over, right? Well, Hasbro can't push Transformers Animated forward without the STUDIO THAT MADE THE CARTOON.

That wouldn't be surprising, since they change Ben10's subtitle every few seasons.

I dig Wolverine And The X-Men. New Speed Racer not so much.
I want to see TFA elsewhere besides CN which dropped the ball. But again I digress.
Ceasar121
I'm not convinced TFA is over. Hasbro could be trying to negotiate with another network, thus why they haven't said anything ( could be legal red tape.) If it was definitely cancelled I would think someone official would have reiterated it by now.
I don't see why Nick Toons couldn't air it. They air Wolverine and the Xmen, and that suck @$$ new Speed Race bull$#!t. Don't see why TFA wouldn't appeal to them.

Your news IS good news, tho personally I've gotten to the point where I'm simply anticipating the inevitable confrontation at the Botcon Hasbro panel for any really solid answers. Too bad I won't get to see any squirming, unless someone posts a video.

Oh, I do. Believe me, I do.
For me, the movie is good for exactly two things:

Ah, well I imagine if TF animated gets renewed for 2010 it will be with a subtitle gimmick. The movie is going to be the big product to push for the remainder of 2009. Its taken a full year between season 2's airing and Season 3 anyway so I'm saying this objectively.
"Transfomers Animated: Nucleon Powered"
sym-bionic titan looks good though. But it had better homage transformers consistantly. They are hopefully following in the large metal boots of Megas XLR.

We don't know 100% that its refering to Animated as we know it but it IS refering to a Transformers presence with CN, if its not Animated I suspect it will be something very similar. My money is still on more animated though and what I said was enough to perk the interest of a certain Mr Wyatt

Which is why fans taking ABSENCE OF EVIDENCE as EVIDENCE OF ABSENCE freaking ridiculous.

Thank you for posting it.
To play devil's advocate though, we don't know for sure that it's animated it refers to, just that Hasbro will need a cartoon to sell whatever toys they feel like making for the next two years and that they plan to continue their co-operation/partnership with CN.
As long as it's at least as good as animated and the toys rock (pretty mcuh a given these days) then I'll be happy.
YoungPrime
I’m not sure what you guys have been watching but the Animated crap I saw was nothing more than a mockery of the G1 original and I hope they never renew it!!
So to Hasbro: Why not just do a Transformers “Resolute” type show that’s strictly DTV that actually stands out since Marvel and DC have proven this to be marketable and successful?
But hey if you guys wanna sit here are whine about a goofy meaningless show which was worse than Universe then by all means continue on….
