Yeah, the hands fold in and the forearms fold up and attach. You can see more pics in my feedback thread here, or the video review here..

In any case, 350 is still waayyyyy overbudget.

I finally won a megatron, I been wanting this figure and he is so rare that theres only four in the world and all four of them have gone to tfw2005 members.

because ebays commision is way to high, like with the 50 dollars her commision is gonna be less then 10 dollars, if it went to 400, she would have had to pay 50 dollars or something like that, besides she still had 80 dollars of mine through a previous transaction so in reality im paying 270. And its 350 with EMS so shipping is included, so the figure itself cost me 300

at first like 3 weeks ago she told me she had a leader megatron and bulkhead and she wanted 700 for both with EMS, but even for me 700 is out of the question, I paid her 400 for megatron but I never got him, instead she offered me jazz and soundwave for 320 with EMS. She owed me 80 dollars , so thats why Im getting him for 270, but in the end I saved 50 dollars. if she would have shipped him when she was supposed to I would have had him right after peaugh or the same day.

Im also getting snarl too, If it was any other transformer I wouldnt spend that much, but leader megatron is awesome and I really wanted him so I paid extra for him.

Practices like that are why ebay fees keep getting higher and higher.

He's going to be rare for what... a couple of months? I appreciate your passion, and I know that this is Megatron (albeit a knock-kneed Megatron) but $400 for a toy that'll be $40 shortly...don't think I'd be dancing in the streets. That's just me.

(P.S. I just noticed that the tags on this thread include "a fool and his money," "bad decision," "epic fail," and "financially irresponsible." So I guess I'm not the only one thinking this was a huge waste.)

^--Agreed. The feeling of exclusivity, however fleeting, is an alluring temptress. It's his money, let him enjoy it how he sees fit.

Personally, I'll wait until it pops up in Cincinnati or even closer to home. Besides, I'm still riding high off my haul Saturday for all of wave one bought at retail. And I only had to wait a couple of weeks after Botcon to do it.

Gratz on your purchase but hes not nearly so rare as you think, its in production colours and is fully painted, even on a production test run theres going to be a fair old amount. Obviously less in collectors hands at this stage though.

I get the exclusivity and the feeling of having it first as I've brought these testshots and such myself in the past but what I got out of this early buying game for is the massive amount of money that is tantamount to being simply thrown away.

If I brought this for $300 or whatever then I'd never see that money again, it certainly wouldn't resell for that amount unless I sold it on almost immediately.

I just think that getting them first is fun and there's something of a sporting relationship in there with other early adopters but the prices have gotten way out of hand.

QFT. I don't think I'd still be in the game at this point if we all weren't having so much fun with it over in the "support group" thread. Although even I've been waiting lately, prices have really started to jump for those first few out of the gate.

I understand the mindset in general, as I have rather a lot of Alt protos/testshots myself, almost all of which I got as soon as I found them on ebay. But I doubt even back then I'd have dropped that much on a painted testshot, but that's just me.

Enjoy your purchase guy who bought this, it looks to be a nice piece ...

I appreciate your opinions, but I dont see a problem, Its my money not yours. Why do you care so much about what I do with my hard earned money? People work differently , I dont want to wait 4 months for a figure I really want, and if I have the money i'll get it. You act like its your money being used. And even though you see a nock kneed figure, I see a very immpresive figure with a awesome alt mode, if you want to wait for months thats on you, but I wont wait.

Unless they happen to be the only person who has and ever will sell these, than that seem's highly unlikely.

And I'm personally not knocking you at all, simply gave my own personal perspective as a guy who used to be kinda known for collecting protos/testshots. You can do whatevr you like with your money, I certainly do. Like I said I hope you enjoy your purchase, he looks like a great figure and maybe I'll pick him up one day...

I wasnt trying to be disrespectful, Its that I dont want to come as someone who has alot of money to waste, I work hard for my money, and I dont think its a money thrown away, Im putting it towards a figure that I think is awesome, and Ive been looking for one forever, and as soon as I had another chance to buy him I wasnt gonna let it slip away, And it certainly worked to my advantage that I know the seller on a personel buisness level.

Defitnally, I always do, Im gonna do alot of comparrisons and a Video/Photo review on all my upcoming figures, I hope you guys check them out. Soundwave and Jazz are on the way and snarl and leader bulkhead should be shipped tommorow, And megatron should come sometime next week.

Not quite the same. Cybertron Galvatron is no longer produced. Leader Megatron hasn't even hit retail yet.
