I've actually had that for a while now. Got it in IaconHub. If I recall, a promo DVD was released to some of the fansites like TFW and allspark, etc.... containing this and other stuff. Truth be told, I wish they had used the longer theme for the show instead of the 30 second version, but that's just me. Either way, I can't wait for the DVDs to come out so I can free up some room on the HDD.

Well great, now I'm going to be watching Animated and wishing it was the longer version of the intro from now on.

I must say that though I prefer the extended theme song, the extended intro video clip is just not as nice, in my opinion, as the shorter intro clip they used in the show,mainly because it's just a straight mashing together of clips lifted straight from the show itself, while the shorter one at least had that unique clip reminiscent of the Mighty Orbots intro and snazzy editing.

I might be remembering wrong, but I think the "Mighty Orbots intro" was shown at Comic Con. It was the same music as what we saw in this Youtube link, but had an (uncut?) shot of the Autobots in a long, winding hallway. Sari is flying through the hallway on some kind of transforming jetpack/tricycle, and each Autobot transforms as she passes them.

I like it. It's just as well it's not in the show. That'd mean 30 seconds less per episode and Animated is rapidly climbing the list as one of my favorite TF series.

I have the Battle Begins DVD and when I heard this I was ROCKING OUT! I watch the DVD just for the Theme Song Railguard:
I like that theme song, I almost wish it was in the series.

Hoorah! I've been waiting for a good quality version of the full theme for a while now, so thanks much, dudes! I've thought since the beginning that this is a damn fine version of the classic theme, possibly my favourite one; it has just the right mix of retro and contemporary sound. Then again, Andy Sturmer does know what he's doing with theme tunes of this sort, having also done the incredibly catchy Teen Titans theme and the very fun second theme for The Batman. A minor shame that this version doesn't have all of the vocal processing and siren effects that make the show version that bit meatier, but hey, not complaining. ILoveDinobot:

I've thought the Transformers Animated theme song was the best since the original, with the Transformers Armada theme right behind it.

could it be that the original video was widescreen? I mean the 16:4 format? (I haven't got the Battle Begins Pack, because it will be release in june here in Austria) because many clips in the video look very stretched to 4:3... maybe that means even the first two seasons were produce in widesreen....?
