Well…doesn't that just suck. Last time Shout went to Botcon, they had TF sets for sale. This completely blows.
Lbsammills51
They will, but they will not be bringing product with them. I asked them yesterday on Twitter and they confirmed that, so you won't be able to buy any Animated DVDs (or any other DVDs, apparently) directly from them during the convention..
Quicky
For sure? I'll go to Wal-Mart if I have to. Amazon has their listing stating 1 to 2 months now!
Question…does anybody know if Shout Factory will be attending Botcon?
BenjaminXavier
Within the US.
Haloid1177
To Walmart I go on break.
Thundershot
So much for being an amazon exclusive.
Matrix_holder
I posted on Cybertron.ca that the entire season and season 3 are available at Canadian retail, Walmart specifically. I saw them today at a Walmart in Burlington Ontario. 27.97 Canadian.
Tekkaman Blade
Still waiting on mine, it hasn't shipped yet.
Matty
Holy sheeeeeeeeet. I got mine in the mail today! Complete set!
jourdo
Grabbed Season 3 from Walmart today. They also had the complete series set there.
Thundershot
They didn't get canceled. They got delayed. They expect to get more.
Oddly enough, I got mine today and added it to my TF collection.
Just need RID, BW2, and BWNeo (I have Cybertron on preorder) and we can have all TF shows on DVD.
haunted-one
Target seems to have season 3 for $9.99… I got mine
Autovolt 127
That sucks that all these pre-orders got cancelled. What went wrong?
Jetstorm
Really sorry to hear about how people's orders have been canceled. No idea why that would happen. Maybe Shout! Factory just didn't make enough to meet demand or there was some kind of error. I just find it odd that the complete series was available for at least three months (I pre-ordered it back on March 6th) so that should've been enough copies to meet demand. Super-sketchy that they took down the listing from their own website though >__>
But fortunately I was able to get mine today (that's why I *always* pre-order something ASAP since they don't charge until it ships). Anyone else who got it, how do you like it so far?
I think it's great, I kind of like the simple approach that Shout! takes with a lot of their releases, and this is one of those. Nice normal-sized DVD case (as my DVD and Blu-ray collection is growing, I'm REALLY starting to appreciate when something is released in as small a package as possible now ). I've only watched the first episode but the picture and sound quality is great, I can't stress how happy I am to get this in widescreen. It looks great upscaled on my Blu-ray player and sounds great through the surround sound system (even though it's only a 2.0 track).
The only thing that's odd is Ratchet is nowhere to be seen on the package or menus, only Optimus, Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Prowl. Seems odd to leave him out but it doesn't matter, just a small nitpick
Haloid1177
And my complete series copy didn't ship from Amazon even though I ordered when it was in stock.
Ugh.
kylash327
Ordered season 3 from B&N for $13 shipped. It says pan & scan, but im pretty sure Shout isnt releasing it in Pan & scan and its an error.
Backpack
Yeah, I rushed out and got a copy of season 3. There is no way of telling for sure I'll be able to get the complete series set; which I was planning on getting from the Shout store. Now that it's been taken down, I'd have to use Ebay…. because I can't use Amazon (which doesn't even have it anyway). At least I have something.
This whole thing is stupid.
Quicky
Well this sucks…I had it preordered but Amazon shot me an email saying it was out of stock? I was hoping to take this with me to Botcon to get autographed…$&@#!!!
Backpack
Fuck man, why is it that every time there is something with animated….. it gets screwed up????
Kazy
I kept the amazon order, so it will eventually arrive and I will have two. I am super impatient though. I also worried amazon wouldn't get it or wouldn't get enough; they still have orders for the out of print beast machines dvd set on their site for example. I figured since it wasn't even listed on Shout's site anymore I should get an in hand copy ASAP.
