Canada's a big place man, not a state-sized entity.
And so people know many other people in the Southern Ontario area went out and checked Wal-Marts today and nothing at all other than the one location for now.
familyman:
How much will these be retailing for in Canada stores? does anyoneknow?.
elkkthunder:
so without reading the entire thread- is this just at TRU/Walmart or where??
Is it throughout the ontario province, ie is it worth it to drive up from the US

So far it's just the one store in Hamilton. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it or not.

Depends, a lot of stores are adjusting their prices. A deluxe could run you up $11 or $14 depending on where you go. Still, you shouldn't have to pay more than $15.
elkkthunder:
this is not the 1st time that toys found there way on Canada shelves before US
The Re-release of the 2002 Heman MOTU series - I grabbed the 1st wave in Ontario about 4-5 weeks before I saw them in NY.

No. It was one store and they are all gone.

You forgot beef and beer.
clonemanager:
Would someone mind to scan the packages's bar codes and post the jpeg on here ??
I really really want to print the bar codes on paper then take them to the
in store scanner to check whether any of them would be popping up at their computers in the stores near me (in California)..
I am hoping for a surprise...

Thanks, RandomFerret, for your post! Without you, I wouldn't have these. |
Railguard:
So has anyone seen them anywhere in the states like somewhere in NY? I wonder how long it's going to take to get to NY.

Sorry to nitpick, but you didn't get them first this time either. Cincy had you beat by at least a week.
Still, it is nice to see we Ohioans won't be the only ones to draw ire from the fandom, even if we didn't buy any.
Yobuster:
Did anyone in Hamilton ask the walmart if they had any more stock in the back or when their next shipment was due to arrive?
What's the chance the Walmart in BC will ahve it?
Sy-Rein:
I checked my local WM and nothing yet, nothing at Zellers either but I kinda figured that before I even went in. (Abbotsford, BC)
Blitz Wing:
Yeah, I checked the Wall-Mart in Surrey, BC, and there were no Animated toys to be found.
Yobuster:
Well we now have their UPC codes. if anyone knows someone at one of those store chains they can easily do a search for that UPC and find out stock levels or estimated delivery dates.
grayfox:
I asked clerks from both Zellers and Walmart to check their computers for the deluxe TF:A UPCs and neither have them listed yet.
chuckcjc:
Wow, I was just on vacation in Canada this weekend, and went to the Hamilton Walmart. All I saw was two columns of empty pegs though.
Paradigm-Shift Prime:
Just so everyone knows there have been no further sightings in Canada yet except for the one stocking of deluxes at the Wal-Mart in Hamilton.
So no they are not 'out' in Canada now by any regard, this appears to be an isolated case (now long-gone).
Gnaw:
The Walmart in Guelph has a fuckload of the first Wave. Lots of Lockdown's, BB's and Prowl's. They had a few Prime's too, but not too many.

yep I got myself BB prowl and Prime there as well. they went there last week but I saw an ad for the show on ytv. look for that in stores
grayfox:
So they're hitting another location, awesome! How long before it spreads everywhere? I want me some TF:A dammit!
SPLIT LIP:
If they show up more places, this may be a solid peice of evidence supporting the TRU computers listing them as coming in the 1st week of May.
Awesome.
Nstrang:
a key thing to look for is any ad for TFA on tv. if you see it keep checking in that store
