Long-time board member RandomFerret made the discovery, so this is for real. No word on how far-spread the release is yet, or if it's just in Ontario only. As soon as we find out more, we will be sure to let you know, so stay tuned to TFW2005. To discuss this topic, click the DISCUSS button.

I only ask because I see a deluxe 70's BumbleBee and Brawl in the pictures with the Animated figures. | Yes, at least in some place around Calgary.
Do you need one?

I'm debating on which movie Prime to get. Takara Premium Optimus Prime, or the first-release Hasbro Optimus Prime, or BOTH.
I can't stand Hasbro's "Premium" version, but I like Takara's and want the first-release for the blaster and the overall look.
Anyone know where I can pre-order the Takara Premium at a reasonable price?

I just got off the phone with George Dubya. The invasion of Canada will commence in 0800 hours. Oh and we want all your Dry Ginger Ale too. Feralstorm: Quote:

Screw this "yay Canadians!" nonsense. More like "yay small fragment of people who happen to live in the right area of Ontario!". Call me when there are numerous sightings in several cities throughout Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, etc.
RandomFerret:
Wait, are you saying there is MORE canada outside of southern ontario?
That doesn't make any sense.

Looks like Wave 1 is out, whether it's accidental or on purpose, Canadian TF fans can enjoy them! | From one Hamilton (city and county both in Ohio) to another Hamilton (Canada) ! Feralstorm: Quote:

WTF? We haven't even really seen much in the way of premiums in MO and here the rest of the continent seems to be traveling a few months into the future. Hasbro should just release everywhere at once, this is quite aggravating.
SilverDragon:
I think Hasbro's trying to encourage an American invasion of Canada with this.
pcsguy88:
Time to send in John Candy. Oh yeah.... Well, I'm sure our government has other options.

I miss the days of the super-secret Hasbro warehouse shop. | I 'd protest outside their headquarter demanding the animated figures to be sold immediately !!

I do hope that the fans, and kids, are getting their hands on these figures and not the scalpers. T'would be a shame otherwise.
June ain't that far away now, me and my giant tax rebate can wait to be spent....all in one day.
I say enjoy the figures guys, good hunting!
Red leader:
good work!!! another nail in the coffin of the animated scalpers! (well the far east ones anyway) lordelohim:
Test marketing doesn't make sense for these. When they test marketed wave two of Built to Rule, it was in like three cities, no one bought them, and they never saw a wide release. Whether these were to sell or not, they are coming out in June, so if they're going to release them in one or two cities, they should release them everywhere. Animated is looking like it could be my favorite toy line, and I want them, damnit.
Lord Elohim, whose American collection 1995-present is currently complete, but who still wants to give Hasbro more money.

I REALLY hope they show up in Windsor

is it me, or does that movie bumblebee have a decepticon logo on the pacage?

All Deluxe movie cards are just cosells on the back with the Bios printed on the back of the instructions. (Something I actually prefer. Saves space) Quote:

However, this is good news for me since I live RIGHT IN the area where the Ferret found these.

This looks like an error. I'd love to be wrong though.

It's awesome that more people are starting to get the toys without having to spend a fortune on ebay. oddity98: Quote:

I'm trying to schedual a trip to my nearest Wal-Mart. They never have anything but barren shelves but it's worth a try. Besides, it might not just be Wal-Mart, I'll check my Zellers, too.
Dark_Rage:
There's no one on ebay selling Animated Deluxes from Canada, only the US, so it's good to know the people who bought them are actually enjoying them and opening them up.

I'm in BC, and will make a trip to Wall-Mart today, but it sounds like this is probobly going to be an isolated incident.

As Animated starscream, said.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OmegaDead:
Just got back from the eastgate walmart in Hamilton. Got the last two, Bumblebee & Lockdown.
OmegaDead:
I will make sure to go next Tuseday morning after I get off of night shift to see if anymore come in.

Middle of the country is perfect for animated though. Tons of Ebay sellers in those provinces.
Magnimus:
RandomFerret speaks the truth. I followed up on his posting, went to the Eastgate Mall location, and found the four deluxes (Bumblebee, Prowl, Lockdown, and Cybertron Prime) on the pegs. I bought them on the spot.
Here's a picture of my receipt (personal info removed) and a picture of my haul. More pictures forthcoming as I open up these badboys.
Thanks, RandomFerret, for your post! Without you, I wouldn't have these.
Super_Megatron:
For the record my wife got the last Animated toy from Eastgate Walmart (Prowl) so save your gas OmegaDead:
(super megatron)
yeah I saw her there this afternoon then. I got the last bumblebee and Lockdown, She asked me if there was anymore so I pointed out the Prowl to her. I only bought the two, needed beer money for tonight.

Can't be having it worse then us
Street date here is set for August, and going by Hasbro Nordics records, we won't have either test marketings or early releases... And the later waves will probably be either very short packed or skipped, or we'll get the shelfwarmers sitting around for eons *remembers the horrors after we finally got Bonecrusher and Swindle*
Still, this has caused Ebay prices to go down, and with my 18th birthday coming up, it means I can upgrade my bank account, paypal and any other means necessary
Prowl, Lockdown, Bumblebee... YOU'RE ALL MINE!
shockwave2005:
so, is Canada a test market too?
bah
twee:
So are these gone already? Is it too much to ask a kind soul to snatch me up a Lockdown and a Prowl? Even when the Animated toys come out, it's probably likely that the West Coast will be the last to get them. | | Tools and Information | | | | | | | Transformers: Animated Deluxe Toys Out In Canada - Transformers News.
