Here’s a bit of news for those out there who are fans of the Transformers: Animated series:
Jim Sorenson, author of the upcoming The Complete AllSpark Almanac, has recently updated his blog, Disciples of Boltax, with an eight (8) page preview. You can check out those images mirrored here in this report. Venture on over to his blog for more details on the contest he’s hosting. The prize is a sketch card by contributor, Bill Forester.
You can purchase this book at your local comic book shop or outlets such as Amazon.com. Feel free to share your thoughts in the ongoing discussion thread!

I agree. And I'm not even a collector of Animated toys, necessarily. I just thought 2011 had the most fan-friendly well put together collection of figures. Animated fans? Check. Stunticon fans? Check. Complete team in a boxed set without even requiring the fiction? Check.

This is pretty much the only way I'd buy their products again.

A second Botcon Animated set would be literally the best thing ever. The 2011 is quite possibly my favourite set of toys in existence. The one time TFCC have completely and utterly nailed it.
Thundershot
I said it earlier in the thread, but I'd love a second Botcon Animated set using designs from this book.

After going through my Complete Almanac, it only makes me curse whatever gods exists for robbing us of a fourth season.

I just got this book today..& it's totally worth it!
I didn't realised that it's a thick book with lotsa pages. I expected a thin paperback book. I got mine from Amazon with the discount.
Jalaguy
It contains the 'AllSpark Almanac Addendum' content from the retail release of the BotCon comic, but not the comic itself.
Prime’s Pappa
I thought the Botcon Comic was supposed to come with this book?
Digilaut
Cool! Can't wait for mine to arrive!
I think it was already confirmed somewhere the Chromia was an error? I think the original 'blue Arcee' existed because that was based on a Japanese arcade game that did that, but somebody forgot to change the bio image to include the new head.
I think.
edit: Yay, book dropped on the doormat! Skimmed through it…great as usual. Of course, if you already own both versions this new one doesn't have the 'wow' factory anymore..but it's still nice to have it combined and with some additional stuff in it.
Some things I've noticed: the red and green Prowl bodytype guards, as well as the Jet Twins pre-flight modes have been redrawn, not sure if that was mentioned yet.
Slightly too bad the Great War pilot headshots have not been redone…which is kind of an awful thing of me to say, but really: a LOT has been redone, added or improved, so now those guys feel kind of off. My bitching ends here.
GREAT job by Jim, Bill, Josh Burrito-kun <3, Marcelo..etc. etc.
11/10 would read again.
And oh..Animated could DEFINITELY use another Botcon set. I really don't want to support Funpub anymore, but there's so much potential here. Nightbeat and Inferno look great!

I'm surprised nobody's posted this already, because I was dying to know, but the new character bios are:
First Aid (Bumblebee body with new head)
Nook and Nightwatch (squirrel Casettebots)
Cheetor
Ironfist
Sideswipe
Depthcharge
Ransack
Crumplezone
Road Rage
Chromia
Flashpoint
Jackpot
Sights (Laserbeak recolour)
Minerva
Drift (Blurr body with new head)
Nightbeat (Arcee body with new head based on the original toy)
Sky-Byte
Mindwipe
Blot
The Motor Master
Wildrider
Drag Strip
Breakdown
Dead End
Toxitron
Bugly
Grinder
Venom
Nemesis Prime
Dark Rodimus
Skipjack (all-new Construticon)
Mirror Optimus Prime
Mirror Bumblebee
Mirror Sari Sumdac(kind of…)
Mirror Isaaac Sumdac
Furthermore, Mirror Megatron (seemingly based on Ultra Magnus' inner body colourscheme?), Starscream (coloured like Sky Garry) and Autoroopers (or Deceptroopers, as it were) have a picture but no bio.
There is a new section of Predacons that introduces Antagony and Inferno. Both have the Waspinator body with a new head based on Inferno's animation model, though they have no bios. It also shows that Blackarachnia adopts her Beast Wars colour scheme upon returning to Cybertron,
Another section shows the Stunticons in their G2 colour-schemes, with Motor Master wearing the Wingblade jetpack (it seems they were protoypes cancelled by Sentinel).
The Maccadam's Oil House page features a host of new characters, although the only one i can identify that hasn't already been mentioned by someone else is Liazack. Interestingly, Chromia has been redrawn, making her closer to her appearance in IDW, which is odd because she's shown as a straight redeco of Arcee in the bios.
New planets have been added to the map. Mostly IDW stuff like Ofsted XVII and the Kol System, although I can't find Kobol anymore and that makes me sad.
There's probably a heap of other new stuff, but it's hard to find because it's all mixed in with the old stuff.

Hurray! My book just arrived, here, in Brazil!!
It looks amazing (fast look on all pages), now I need to read it
Autovolt 127
Must…resist…urge to….make….. Full….Metal…..Alchemist joke!

Pravus Prime
Nope. As mentioned, not only is it different characters and lineup, but even the same characters have been redone. Sky Lynx for example is completely different.

Oh, I don't think it's gonna be, really. I expect mostly "repaints", one or two at most. I don't see DJW completely designing a bunch of new characters for this project, but I'm also interested in pretty much anything new in the TFA world. Haven't been interested in very much in the TF fandom since it ended.
godotislate
It's not an exact one-to-one swap, and there are more heads now.
So in the AAII, these were the heads:
Left Column:
G1 Sky Lynx
Movie Barricade
G1 Chromia
BW Neo Stampy
Victory Hellbat
GoBot Cy-Kill
Right Column:
BW Antagony
G1 Blaster
BW Tarantulas
Victory Clipper
G1 Mindwipe
Some version of Cheetor
RiD Sky-Byte
And now (I'm not able to identify them all)
It's neat, but it's not a big a deal as you probably think.
Escargon
Well, I haven't got it yet, but there's images around the net of it, and
