TFW2005 Wants to Know - What's Your Favorite Transformers Animated Moment?

You guys went and nominated what you felt were the top 5 moments in Transformers Animated. I went through and compiled the list the best I could (example: Omega Supreme's Reveal and Omega Supreme's Transform are the same, in my eyes at least, so they were counted together).

The #1, #2, and #3 top nominations were separated by ONE VOTE (so one had 17 votes, the next at 16, the next 15) ... so it was pretty close. Anyways, here they are, and the descriptions. You can only vote for these 5 ... or you can just not vote. But this was decided by you guys, so I hope you all enjoy it.

#1 Omega Supreme
Throughout the first two seasons of Transformers Animated, the writers hinted that there was something more to the Autobots' ship that crashed in Lake Michigan, and then again on Dinobot Island. Finally, towards the end of Season Two, it was revealed that the Autobot ship was actually the decomissioned Autobot Ultimate Weapon, Omega Supreme, who is brought back online by Ratchet and Sari, and kicks some Decepticon booty before sacrificing himself to save the Earth and the other Autobots.

FOOTNOTE: Omega Supreme falls under Megatron's control in Season 3, and at the end of Transformers Animated, rejoins the Autobots and demolishes the Lugnut Supreme clones.

#2 Megatron's Return
Throughout Season 1 of Transformers Animated, Professor Isaac Sumdac believes he is helping rebuild a friend of the Autobots in his lab. But truth be told, he is actually rebuilding Megatron, the leader of the Decepticon forces. At the end of Season 1, in "Megatron Rising", he finishes Megatron's new body and, with the power of Sari's Key, Megatron returns and utters one of the most popular Decepticon phrases to come about in the 25 years of Transformers history: "Decepticons, transform and rise up!" (a play on the Autobot version, "Autobots, transform and roll out!"

#3 Team Rodimus v. Team Charr
Season 3 of Transformers Animated premiered with the ultimate fan-wank battle. Judd Nelson, the voice of Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime from the 1986 Transformers animated movie returned to reprise the role of "Rodimus", leader of a team of Autobots consisting of Rodimus, Hot Shot, Red Alert, Brawn, and Ironhide. They fought against a group of Decepticons known as Team Charr, consisting of Strika, Cyclonus, Spittor, Blackout, and Oil Slick. The two teams fought each other to a revamped classic Transformers theme, with Team Charr eventually winning the battle.

FOOTNOTE: While it was never explained what happened to "Team Rodimus", all characters (except Brawn) are visible in various "group shots" later in Season 3. "Team Charr" is never heard from again, except in the two-part episode "Human Error", where they are brought to life in a virtual reality created by Soundwave, walking the streets of Detroit with Megatron.

#4 Blurr
John Moschitta, aka the Micro Machines guy, and the original voice of Blurr from the 1986 Transformers animated movie and Season 3 of the original Transformers, reprised his role as Blurr, the fast-talking Autobot who talks as fast as he moves ... which is pretty fast. Blurr assisted the Autobots in the end of Season 2 of Transformers Animated, and discovered the identity of the Decepticon spy on Cybertron. He broke free of his "prison" with the Starscream clones (Skywarp and Thundercracker), ran across the galaxy, literally, only to be turned in to a cube by Shockwave, and incinerated by Cliffjumper. Oops.

FOOTNOTE: We put all the Blurr moments together as "Blurr" ... because just about everyone had a Blurr moment that wasn't exactly the same as someone else's. So there you go.

#5 The Final Battle Between Megatron & Optimus Prime
The end of Season 3 featured a two-part episode entitled "Endgame", and in the second part, Wingblade Optimus Prime and Megatron have their final battle. In homage to the final battle between the original Optimus Prime and Megatron, both warriors find themselves badly damaged, with cracks all over their bodies, as Optimus Prime slams the Magnus Hammer down ... about 3 inches to the left of Megatron's face, before arresting him. A classic note, Megatron, after three seasons, finally remembered Optimus Prime's name. So shocking was this, Optimus Prime even commented on it.

FOOTNOTE: This was a serious last-second addition and barely beat out some other nominations.

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Wreckar's "I dare to be stupid!", the Optimus Prime and Soundwave guitar/keytar battle, Prowl versus Lockdown, Ratchet versus Shockwave, and Lugnut's First P.O.K.E.

#2 was the best of this list for me. A thrilling moment that was earned and "Transform and Rise Up!" is awesome.

story i liked Ratchets story acr, but moment, Team Rodimus vs Team Charr for me.

Megs versus optimus diffently.

I 'd save my vote for the un-predictable "season 4 is back".

I voted Team Charr vs. Team Rodimus but I regret doing that now because I prefer Omega Supreme waking up. He was awesome as he kicked everyones ass and man Bridge too close was a great episode!

To me when i first saw the ship i knew it was omega supreme and it gave me goosebumps when he transformed. I really like the last battle between prime and megs also. I really like all 3 seasons and hated for it to end. Love all the nods to g1 and beast wars also

I went with The Return Of Megatron. The buildup and anticipation was great.

Megatron Rising. It was sooooo epic! And then the fight infront of Sumdac tower was some of the best action of the series, in my book. Sorry Blurr.

Team Charr vs. Team Rodimus gets my vote...

Omega's by far from that list

Megatron's return was what I suggested and that gets my vote.

Voted for Megs v Prime, but I really liked the Wasp story arc. I really felt for the little guy!

Would have much appreciated more dinobot love too, but only not have them being such retardicons. Grimlock should have totally handed some decepticon warrior his skidplate!

My Favoutite moments in animated are

(1) Optimus vs Megertron final battle

(2) Omega vs the seekers

(3) Bumblebee findig out the blue car was Blurr

(4) All the times Sentinal got hurt in Boot camp and on earth

(5) Prowl vs Locdown in samuria mode

I also enjoyed the last episode alot and I cried when Prowl sacrificed himself

Has any body noticed Omega always says Autobots in danger i think thats cool

Of the five, gotta go with Megatron Rising.

I actually got a little choked up back when Omega Supreme got put back into hibernation mode. I felt really sorry for the guy, and Ratchet. Great moment in the series.

And the first time he transformed and yelled "I am Omega Supreme!" was pretty damn bad-ass.

None of those moments really stood out to me, but I liked Blurr.

Megatron's return was completley EPIC, and of the availiable choices was my top favorite. In reality, it's my third best moment from Animated, the second being the Rock Battle of OP vs. Soundwave, and my top favorite moment being anything Wreck-Gar (possibly the funniest character in the whole show, dispite his two appearances. I also will find his toy someday, no thanks to Hasbro's crappy shipping and packaging habbits in my area)

Those are some excellent choices, I can't choose just one. So, I'll go w/ Megatron rising. My next choice would have been Omega Supreme's story.

The "music Duel" was very nice and the return of Laserbeak and Ratbat need to be mentioned too cause it would not be Soundwave without at least one of his classicals minions(Ravage,Rumble,FrenzyBuzzsaw,Lasebeak or/and Ratbat)!!!

I think Rodimus' team had more potencial in the series like in a battle with the Chaar team but this time on Earth!!!

had to go with blurr because when he is killed at the beginning of season 3, you just know "oh shit, it's on." no going back, no taking names-- the gloves are off and TFA is going down with a fight.

plus it's gut-wrenching to know that shockwave so cruelly "disposed" of blurr, and nobody else would ever find out.

i voted for team rodimus vs. team char... i was absolutely floored when i found out judd nelson reprised his role.

Megs vs Prime Final Battle. It was just THE fight the whole series was building up to, and I was 100% satisfied.

My favorite moment was Megatron getting his body back on the first season. But cancaling animated toys! If they cancal electronict Soundwave, I am going to stop coming back here for 3 weeks! Or matbe 10 weeks, depends on how angry I am.

I think you'll find Brawn was in some of the crowd shots (though not in close ups, he is seen near rattle trap in Decpeticon air when Sentinel is having the parade for himself)

I voted for Omega Supreme's story, to be fair it is not just his story, it's Ratchet and Arcee's too, seeing what happened to Omega Supreme and what happened inbetween Lockdown capturing Ratchet and Arcee and Omega's final battle helped me appreciate why Ratchet was reluctant to be hands on in combat.

Four words will sum up my choice:

Another cool moment was Blackarachnia face-to-face with the "maximals" and saying "U gotta be kidding me!" I laughed a lot!!!

I was all set to vote for "OMG ROCKLORDZ" but alas tis not for our time... Anyhoo I voted for Omega because he became the central plot device.

My fav moment?Optimus/Megatron final battle,a great homage to the 1986 battle but without Prime dying.

That was funny! I also loved it when Wreck-Gar whipped out the accordian...and it was shot out of his hands...(if I remember it correctly) considering he was voiced by Weird Al! What a personality homage!

Technically, all of the cybertronians are plot devices. They're robots!

Isn't Omega Supreme's Story technically the entire series? I personally don't think it should be a choice, but hey, no big deal.

Well, at least of this entire last season. Yeah, I thought that was a bit too general. "Omega Supreme's reveal" would have been more of a "moment", IMO.

Anyways, I voted for Team Rodimus vs. Team Charr. That was just such pure win. Lugnut's first P.O.K.E. comes in a close second.

Though I wish Shockwave's Arc would have been one of the choices.

exactly, it really annoys me how everyone is saying "the last epsiode ever" when it hasn't even been confirmed! I say don't get hyped up when there's a rumor. The last episode left loads of things open, why can't there be a Season 4?

Megs vs Optimus. He finally said "Optimus Prime"

In Blurr's epic race across the galaxy he was actually fueled by pure awesome.

Tough choice between Omega and the Optimus/Megatron battle, but I went with Omega Supreme.

My real favorite part of Animated, though, was probably the Ratchet/Arcee story that was basically a prelude to Omega Supreme.

Omega, because when he transformed in the season 2 final, it raised the level of the show, it went from a superhero show with transformers, to an epic battle with transformers.Add to the fact that he was completely in character with the G1 version and fan were jumping in their seat with excitement.

All five are worthy choices, and I would be happy with any of them...

But the wife and I watched the whole thing from start to finish this weekend, and I am back to where I started: Omega Supreme solves everything. Without Omega I would probably still be blissfully ignorant of Animated and its untimely demise, with him I have been handed one of, if not the best, iterations of Transformers ever put on the screen. (Your mileage may vary.)

I liked the final battle - especially now that Meggie has a foe to remember for quite a while!

Megatrons return is where the show hit its high point for me. I absolutely loved the fight scene that followed.

The Transwarped battle was the shiznit. Ever since I saw that battle It changed the way I felt about Animated. Too bad Rodimus got f'cked up.

I love the part of the Team Rodimus V.S. Team Chaar battle where Spittor actually croaks after swallowing Red Alert.

Tough call between Omega Supreme and Megatron's return..but I voted for Omega Supreme (and I see others did too! )
