Preview Images of Upcoming New Transformers Animated Cartoon Characters Teaser
Derrick J. Wyatt, character designer for Transformers Animated, has updated his "A Delightful Tedium" blog with a preview of upcoming new characters from the Transformers Animated cartoon. The preview image features images of a part of nine different robots and was shown at the cartoon panels at BotCon 2008.

The image can be seen to the left. The characters shown are: Row 1: Swindle, Jetstorm, Wreck-Gar, Row 2: Skywarp, Shockwave, Mixmaster, Row 3: Blurr, Jetfire, Thundercracker.

Swindle, Jetstorm, Wreck Gar, Skywarp, Shockwave(?), Mixmaster, Blurr, new fembot(?) and Thundercracker.

Let's see... my guesses are:

Swindle, Jetstorm, Wreck Gar, Skywarp, Shockwave, Mixmaster (looks like his drum barrel is on his back), Blurr, the new femmebot & Thundercracker.

Someone whom was at Botcon should come in here and let us know though. Pretty please guys?

Cool. There are some obvious one's in the group- Skywarp, Thundercracker, Wreckgar, but there are some that aren't. If that is Shockwave there in the center, he looks pretty cool.

So Jetfire is going to be Orange? Boooo. And lol, I just noticed the crack too after you pointed it out. There are so many subtle humor in animated.

I think the blue and yellow guy with visor is Blurr's face, Shockwave is the one red eyed guy, Skywarp and TC are obvious along with Wreck Gar , and one may be a Constructicon don't know which. It's good to see these though and get a rough idea or enough to speculate what these new guys will look like.

Evidently the Constructicon is Mixmaster after reading earlier posts and looking at the pics again, cool.

So, the top three are Swindle (very G1 head), Jetstorm (BM homage? Cool) and Wreck Gar, we've established that?

Second line is Skywarp (duh, but WHOO!) Shockwave and Mixmaster (rofl at the ass-crack) and then the bottom is Blurr (obviously) Jetfire(?) and Thundercracker.

Allright, all of these previous sketches were shown at Botcon, so I'll end any debate (though most of you are right on) and tell you what they are, from upper left to lower right:

-Swindle
-Jetstorm

-Shockwave (wow, so he DID have that red eye.... sorry for the misinfo earlier)

I think from the "no clone army" comment that they won't be on the show. Could has misinterpreted that, though. Plus, the Seeker design models were just the Starscream model we're all familiar with, but with the colors changed. I think that if they were meant to be in the show, they'd at least have their facial expressions changed and perhaps a different posture.

Jetstorm? Autobot or Decepticon? From that pic it looks very reminiscent of Beast Machines Jetstorm, which I hope he's based off of because BM Jetstorm was OG.

Cool. Both Skywarp and Thundercracker are in there. Can't wait to see the rest of Shockwave!

Blurr and these new Jets probably have me the most exited.

Blurr because he's an elite guard, and because of his described "Transtechy-ness".

The Jets have an aura of mystery about them that intrigues me.

Well Jetfire and Jetstorm are a duo.
hasbro has not said what faction they are.

I think they're some neutral party with an unusual origin.

I've only seen a handful of Animated episodes, and haven't really cared for the show so far.

But I'm pumped about the developing universe--looking forward to watching an entire season once it's out on DVD.

So fantastic.

I love them all. Swindle is pure awesome. And Shockwave! PLEASE.... let the rumor of Omega Supreme be true.

This show needs to go on for at least 2 more seasons.
