I'd also have to say that Hasbro now knows the demand for the Seekers is there, so this time around they might denie FP's request.
Especially considering that not only is Animated currently a mainline, but they've got EASY store exclusives they can dish out.

Yeah, that's another thing. With Transformers being pumped back up in popularity again... I'd expect the stores are going to be clamoring for Transformers Exclusives like they were back after Armada (love it or hate it, Armada was the best selling lines before the movie line). Whomever of the four males (I think the female will see an all new mold... perhaps a deluxe one as Hasbro hasn't done a female larger than a deluxe since TM2 Blackarachnia) don't make it into the mainline are easy shoe-ins as store exclusive figures.

Hopefully, Hasbro watches what they put out as store exclusives this time so they don't repeat the oversaturation fiasco that had stores stop asking for exclusives (like Wal-Mart's Universe exclusives).

But it DIDN'T affect them very much. In fact, it seems they were barely affected at all. All the grief they got was just... really vocal outcry that didn't really accomplish much.

Suffice it to say though, I doubt Hasbro is gonna do a recolor of every single one of these guys.

I don't know. At the Animated panel they did mention (when showing off pics of Skywarp and Thundercracker) that Hasbro had planned out repaints of Screamer a long while in advance. So, who knows? Like has been said... they've got store exclusive fodder in many of those. And, frankly, I think the female will get her own new mold. Still, anything about toys for these characters short of Skywarp (who was found listed as a Voyager in store computers) is pure speculation no matter where you want/don't want them released.

Transformers fans love their Seeker Repaints! Just look at the bitch fest that Botcon '07 caused.
Da_Razorsaw:
That's five re-releases of a toy. SIX. Skywarp, Thundercracker, Sunstorm, Ramjet/Jetfire, and the girl one. Fans may go for these, but not general audiences or retailers. It's ridiculous. I see Skywarp, maybe Thundercracker, and perhaps one of these as a store exclusive and that's it.
Feral Magnus:
Wasnt there a mention of Skywarp was a direct repaint of Starscream as a toy but Thundercracker was having a different mold? This mold could just be the Deluxe version of Starscream and used as the mold for the other repaints of the other seekers (excluding the female).

Were any of the clones given names or were they just ordered around with Hey You! ?

I know I too hope takara will release the classics seekers, but I'm not complaining about it every two pages.

Really, it depends on how far apart Hasbro plans on spacing them out. Crap, they've released SEVEN versions of movie Bumblebee for god's sake. Also, I'm still of the mindset (and I could be wrong) that the female will get a new mold (she just appears to be designed differently from the others that a straight up repaint just wouldn't do, but that's my opinion). Guess we won't know until Hasbro shows some more stuff...

Also, I could care less if FP does these or not. Just thought I'd mention that before this goes anywhere unwarranted.

After the movie line, I honestly don't know anymore.

i think that if the release them all as repaints, it would be awesome cause then if you cant find one, youll prbly be able to find one of the others

Yay Seekers and Shockles

Actually, they could.
As long as the toys and the series continue to do well, hasbro was going to keep toys going throughout 2009; selling them alongside movie 2 toys.
Keeping some animated stock on the shelf is a must.
Skywarp, thundrcracker, and the female mold get sent out in the general assortments, 1 inserted every other wave, with sunstorm and the white one each being a seperate exclusive.
1 to target; 1 to wal-mart.
As long as this line is "live", i doubt it will go to botcon.

I just want to see the toys they make out of blurr and shockwave.
MaikeruSan:
Well first of all ill get starscream. Im not looking to buy 5 repaints morso even 1. I cant wait to see shockwave, hes climbing to the top of my list. He looks amazing, hope if he stays those colours we get a double agent mode for the toy.

I hope they get names, otherwise Starscream's crew is going to end up like Smurf Village.... Greedy, Hefty, Lazy, Vanity, Brainy, etc...

Nah, that works. Skwarp was always supposed to be a sneaky backstabber, so cowardice suits him.

I have a sick feeling that Hasbro is going to once again screw us out of the opportunity to have all 3 original Seekers in original colours. Mark my words... we'll get Skywarp, and maybe the G1 coloured SS clone, and then no Thundercracker... or just Sunstorm and that all-purple one.

Though honestly, I'll be surprised if we get more than one repaint of that Starscream mold.

Shockwave looks better than I expected. Blurr looks greatgreatgreat. I never liked Blurr much, but I really hope we get a good toy based on that design.

I agree with the thoughts of others- stores WANT Transformers product.

If Animated does well, which I imagine it will, stores will want exclusives. Which is the perfect venue for more Starscreams.

And not to mention, it's a way to keep the mold in circulation easily for the kiddies who want a Starscream.

That's exactly the feeling I was getting, once I finally got the balls to not just look at the pics and read the spoilers. I was thinking Hasbro might opt for Star-Dirge-chick to be a deluxe for a couple reasons aside from their trend of not releasing large female figures. For one, it allows Hasbro to have some more smaller Decepticons without re-releasing characters or making up totally new non-show ones or relying on one-hit wonders like Soundwave. It also provides a cheaper alternative to kids and collectors both to paying $20 a pop for "Starscream", but that would make more sense if one of the male clones was used, so it'd be easier to double or triple-up on redecos. And of course, it makes distinguishing her far more easy than if she was just remolded from the Voyager, which is doubtful anyway.

Wow to many seekers.

But i hope blur's personality is like the blur in armada.

Still, it's looks liek a fair amount. Not the "army" of clones like before, but still, six-seven is fine.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was figuring. Also, she looks smaller so... yeah. Maybe wishful thinking on my part, but she does looks different enough (shorter, slimmer and her head even has a different design) that it warrants a different mold.

Mmm... yeah, but they're doing that with the Activators. Frankly, I hope that they don't give us any of these Screamer Clones only in Activator form.

You know, I might make a Animated SG Blurr out of Ani Blurr's toy just because the original SG Blurr sucked balls articulation wise.

Hmm... could pop SG Blurr's remolded head on Animated Blurr's body... don't know if he'd be able to Transform well afterwards though...

Why is everyone so excited about SG Blurr? IMHO, Cybertron/Galaxy Force Blurr is much closer to G1 Blurr in both color and head then that exclusive version...

Btw, I wonder how Megs got that Headmaster Unit... Maybe from Powell?

Sorry to burst bubble, but no one will see season 3 till probably later this year at the earliest.
Possibly not until 2009.
Animation does take time to produce, and if they only just got started, it'll be a while before we see a new episode.
Pt2 today will be magmatron's last sneak peek for a while.

To be fully honest, I'd be quite annoyed if the daily sneak peeks moved straight on into season three, and for the record, I did not expect them to do so. Look at the smilies people!

wow, this is looking great. and now the animated version of how they got the seeker jets.

as commented above i havent been this excited since season 2 onwards of beastwars.

Uh, yeah, Cybertron/Galaxy Force Blurr does look more like G1 Blurr than Shattered Glass Blurr does, but Shattered Glass Blurr isn't G1 Blurr. He's from a twisted Universe where the Autobots are evil and the Decepticons are good. Some people kind of dig that... me personally... didn't dig it much until the I read the bios and comics.

Now, if you meant to ask about Animated Blurr... people dig the Transtech Cheetor look.

Yeah, noticed that yesterday when I saw the parts of A Bridge Too Close Part 2 that Magmatron loaded up on YouTube. You get a much better look at her than in the one screen caption he gave us in this thread. I think it's a stroke of genious really because I always thought that those colors would suit a female seeker more than a male. Also, I find it strange that Hasbro has never done a female seeker before.
Hot-Shot!!!:
Oh sweet Primus, Blurr looks SWEET! I am so buying all of those seekers!
TriBlurr:
bit of a late question here, magmatron, did the Starscream clones all use the same voice as Starscream?
dark69:
man i hope all the Starscream clones get toys!
how meny are there?
magmatron:
They didn't in Arabic, so I doubt in English.
Torque:
ooo, interesting-all different personalities and voices.

also, what is each personality to each color? im getting confused, cause ive heard anger for both White screamer and thundercracker, and cant figure out yellow at all
shroobmaster:
Skywarp: Coward
Thundercracker: Egomaniac
Sunstorm: Suck-Up
Ramjet: Liar
Female:... girl?
