Uhh, no - Gen already posted another thread before this of pictures of the Thundercracker, which had been confirmed at BotCon '09. It's no custom.

It looks great and yet upsetting at the same time. I didn't get lugnut or Bilkhead because of the size issue. It's a voyager but almost the same size as a deluxe. I was hoping he would be a big bot. Now I have to go and get Lugnut. at least bulkhead has a leader class. can;t wait till these start hitting the shelves

I really wish they'd attempted to make him show-accurate. Those back-rotors and that weapon just aren't working for me.

I'm fairly sure that Earth Blackout did show up in the cartoon...as part of Soundwave's virtual reality. (Which would make no sense at all, but it's at least a benign illogic.)
But even if he didn't show up, a helicopter is still more fun to play with than some boring gunship without a spinny rotor.
